Will be waiting for your review Scott!

Well... based on tracking, mine won't be here until next week. And as luck would have it (good or bad, depending on perspective) I'm going to be on an extended vacation starting on Monday. Won't be back on here for about 10 days (it's a REAL vacation... un-wired!). So by then all of my opinions will probably be "old news"!

As some people probably know, I am not particularly fond of cartomizers. However, since what I dislike most is that burning filler, I gave the E2 a try.

I have a box dated 20100616, same as on the pics in posting #1966. Which should be the problematic older version, if I got that right. (Thread has grown a bit long.)

However, except the usual carto problems (annoying to refill, hot vape) I did not encounter any problems: They work perfectly on my eGo, and they wick perfectly well, my usual DIY-80/20-liquid. I've three of them in use, with different liquids, and they all work the same - perfectly well. So what could I expect from the newer ones?

And refilling them: Does it work with them to pour liquid into the cap and just put the carto in there, or should one always refill these ones with a syringe?

I also use them with drip tips instead of their own cap, because of the hot vape. Could I still just put one into my pocket, or would liquid run out?

alex, from the way i understand it with the newer ones you should be able to choose between 2 different ohm settings [not in the same carto though], giving either a warm or cool vape, whatever you prefer.
there should be a ceramic cup instead of plastic and the option of xl for more juice content.
hope that helps a little

Yes, I saw the new options (will probably take a while till I can get them all in Europe, and postage from eliquid.cn is prohibitively expensive), but I was under the impression that the cartos themselfes did not work properly for many.

BTW, cooler vape and XL sounds interesting even for everyday use, providing one can refill them often enough to put them into the price range of regular atties.

all issues that needed to be ironed out in between versions seems to be handled.
Some had issues some didnt, so now they listened to all the complaints and fixed them

you can buy them now but they will be plastic cups with new glue that doesnt have the bad taste, but they also decided to remove the glue all together, so everyone that put the order on hold until the ceramics are ready will receive all the fixes they have now plus ceramics and NO GLUE.

Alex, about refilling , i have many that have gone over 20 refills, these things are good until they pop, theres no filler so you can use them until they die, just give them a good dry burn if they gunk up after many fillings and your good to go again.

as many have stated with this design they are very much like regular atomizers and the only thing that makes them disposable is when you decide to throw it out.

alex, keep your eye on the pif co-op thread. you might have to join to be able to post, anyhow it's with the social groups.
if that pulls off i would not mind forwarding your order to germany, i just send my mother something in a flat rate priority envelope for i believe $14.00 or about 10 euros? how does that compare to the china shipping?

Need help. Just got mine in 510 ordered from cn two wks ago. I am not getting any power to the carto on mu buzz. I made some slight adjustments to the screw inside the connector of the mod. Trying to be carful not to screw anything up.

My slb and boge work fine. I am getting no sizzle or signs of life. The light on the buzz is good. I dont have a meter so no idea what voltage I am set at.

Any advice please I only have two reg carto's left.

thanks in advance

Are they screwing in all the way? I tried one on mine and it works fine
I just tried a fresh one and it didn't work until I screwed the center screw out a few turns on the buzz then it worked fine.

You'll also want to turn the voltage down about 4-5 turns or it's way way too hot and tastes burnt ;)

That did the trick. If you pass on this tip again here is a little side note. I backed out that screw just a little to much. When this happens it seperates the top and bottom of the conector. It worked for awhile with my SLB but after a bit the wire came off and I lost all power.

My point: Good tip and it works good. Just a very slight turn of the screw will do the trick. too much and kerplunk.

Thanks

I followed that but all I saw an that page was cutting off the tip. Is there a way to shave the actual carto? I will try the staple mod when I can find my needle nose pliers! :) The tweezers aren't working too well. :(

The Hello016 will need air slots itself, here is bad's picture of the Hello16 he fixed:

I think a tap set will do the trick. I am experiencing about 2 out of five with thread issues. I would be interested to see if the polished have more of a problem. Anyone know what size tap I need off the top of their head? a good hardened nut would probably also do the trick for clearing the threads.
A 7mm x .5 die will chase the threads.
