Don't have all the answers you may be looking for. The mouth piece caps were soft rubber. The hard cap that goes over the coil is removable. To disassemble to the point to mod it? Seems like you would destroy it to get to that point.

Edited to add: We tried their prefilled liquid, and also added various other liquid to blanks that they sent.

Can you tell us the resistance (ohms)?
If it's 3.0 ohms or greater, can you easily take it apart enough for direct dripping from the top?

I've found the regular Kr808d cartos to be very robust in that I have only had one out of many many burn out. I didn't do so well at removing the filler (and leaving just the sock) for dripping. If these have the same durability in the coil and a regular wick already wrapped around them it might be perfect for dripping :)

(and my batteries need at least 3.0 ohms resistance).

well ...updates on E2's after 24h of using
not as good as expected ....I think the biggest problem is the fact that the only way the liquid gets to coil is "going up" the string and some liquids work, some don't or just stops working ...
Also the liquid goes very fast - 20 drops keeps me going for around 1 hour on E2 when same quantity in a normal carto takes me 3-4 hours ...
Also it gets a funny taste, not burning, but more kinda chemical after around 3 hours of use - I've already disposed 4 of them ....
It's a good idea, but probably needs improvements

so much for the E2 -

hehe I don't know which is worse... "chemical taste" or "burning taste".

Hey! Where'd he go! Come back! :p

Thanks mick I just found it and was coming back. Disappointing for sure, but not the end of the world. I find the part I bolded interesting, because it would seem to contradict the not wicking theory, and may suggest leaks? If it's using liquid faster then you would think it's wicking fast enough. I dunno.

Either way they appear flawed. You just never know with the clever minds that roam this place, maybe it'll take a trick from an ECF member to make them work.

i am very sorry that you see this !

1 month before ,we even did not put in bulk production ! they are lying !it is a lie ! really ! and yesterday ,my boss asked our engineer to try the cartomizer before us! he smoke nearly 150 puff ,the smoke is the same with the first puff ! and he smoke until 300 puff ! still can smoke ,just the fog is smaller ~

[I underlined and highlighted]

That IS interesting!

You can use 20 drops in one hour? That means you're using 1 drop every 3 minutes.
What kind of liquid are you using? Do you have pics? What do you mean 'goes up the string'? Up where, where exactly is the coil? I wish prototype packs of 5 would have been available at various production attempts.

Thanks for the link. Evidently someone tried them or at least inquired about trying them on5V or mods. That makes no sense to me.

Wire coils have been perfected to work with batteries that last all day at only 3 point something volts. Why in the world would you need to design them to work on my 5.1V USB PT which I no longer need?? If you can make cartomizers that work well on LOWER voltages, so much the better. The low resistance of wire coils of about 2.7 ohms already simulate high voltage vaping. So they did! They now make wire coils that work perfectly on 3 point something volts! Why in the world would people be testing them on 5.1V PTs, or inquiring about testing them on 5.1V and up???
