So basically what you are saying is if anyone orders now they would get the new revision? Have they issued a statement on this, or are we going by your word?

Well, take my word or not, but this is straight from the manufacturer. I told you guys, I'm not making this up, I only repeat what I'm told unless I state that it's my opinion. Here's the email straight from Martinez:

We already got orders inside for this, seems to me they can’t wait , anyhow we need minimal end this week to produce like this , if you like I hold on your order as well and make it in new standard ?
So orders we accept already, just delay the shipping with 3-5 days

f you currently have an order in and it has not shipped you may see a 3-5 day delay in shipping. If you do that means you will be receiving the new revision of the carts!

(oops, naviathan, email and PM text is not allowed to be quoted, I think)

I just ordered the 3.3volt batteries and 3.3 volt cartos!

I hope they don't change my order, lol

I have always preferred lower resistance, because it means lower volt requirements. Lower voltage means longer lasting batteries and/or smaller size.

so i have crap arriving in a few days and now i need to order more to get the new ones, no problem but im not ordering until they say themselves the new design is being shipped.

It depends on what the revision is. I don't think you're getting crap, I also just ordered and the website allows you to choose either 3.3volt carto, or 3.7volt cartos. They also now sell 3.3v KR808D1 batteries, which I ordered.

Another change listed on the website said that next week they will have the CE2 in XL, meaning the longer 51mm cartos, for both KR808d1 and 510.

So I have no idea if naviathan is talking about yet another revision? But for yours, you just need some 3.3volt batteries.

Your order won't be changed, but you will receive the new design. The ohm of the coil depends on the model cartos you ordered. I think the KR808 cartos are the only ones coming in the higher resistance.

From what I have seen up until this time, I wouldn't trust any of these things any further than I can spit a mouth full of fish hooks. That includes the new, secret revision....br

At this point I can't blame anyone for taking that stance. Once the new design starts arriving and we start getting reviews I think you'll change your mind.

What I'm talking about is not just another revision, it a whole new internal design, but it will be transparent to those ordering.

...

Ok, so do I understand you correctly in that if I ordered 3.3v cartos AND 3.3v batteries, that I will still get that? ..just that another [undisclosed] improvement WILL be included in my order?

adding (edit): Ok, I just saw your post above, thanks naviathan.

I think I got the "new" design as they have 7 holes in the filling cap instead of three holes... I may be wrong but, mine don't work properly.

You haven't received it. The new design doesn't go into production until tomorrow (Wednesday 21 July, 2010)

I'll let you kids be the guinea pigs. I'll just lurk here as a chaperon until I see a reliable review of the secret design....br

hey, i appreciate this nath, hey we jumped when we did and we get what we get for testing, its that simple, these are new and now we know how they work.

Hopefully the revision addresses the wicking issue and the ability to choose 3.7 and xl e2 , well thats all a plus, if this revision actually solves the only issue everyone seems to have then they have a winner, the other issue of not holding lots of juice goes out the window witht he xl e2.

as of now, after reading everything the ONLY complaint is that they dont wick.

SO THAT SHOULD LOGICALLY mean that if they fix this wicking issue then they hit the holy grail.

That's what I've been saying the whole time. It was just a matter of time before they fixed the issue with wicking and I figured if we continued to give feedback and not try to slander them entirely we would get a better response. As we've seen so far, it seems to be working. We've gotten 3 revision to these in the last month, the latter of which looks (can't wait to test them) like a winner.

My shipment of 120 510's and 30 M-series has been dispatched from the sorting facility in China, so I should have them in about a week. In the mean-time I've sent a note to Aileen at e-liquid.cn asking about these new "revisions" and how, if at all, it will affect the 510 and M-series cartos going forward.

If I hear anything useful from her I'll report it back here.

Your shipment will be the previous internal design. ALL cartos produced from tomorrow on will have the new internal design. You will still have the two optional coil resistance models for the KR808, but the design of the rest of the internals will ALL be the new design as of tomorrow.

I hear ya naviathan, but I'm just curious what kind of story I'm going to get from Aileen who's just responding to a customer inquiry. I want to see if everyone's on the same page over there...

Good call, I'd be interested in the response you receive as well.

Good for you! That's a balanced perspective.

You may be the ultimate optimist :). That seems to be the only complaint so far from ... what... 2 out of 3 reviewers? and that they don't seem to be suitable for 6v (which they aren't advertised to be).

Obviously the mfg is a bit anxious about their product launch but they did respond quite emphatically at the start that there was no wicking problem and they had tested them vaping constantly for long periods of time, etc... understandable, maybe a PR department mistake. Whatever. I'm hoping it's the holy grail along with everyone else but I think I'll wait for a sampling of reviews.

so what, I waste 100$ on some cartomizers that don't work well, I knew this going in. Even if they have a new design and there are still no reviews, I will order the new revisions as well. If you cant pay to play, then don't play, its as simple as that. If you don't want to spend money on an unsure thing, then don't, but don't call those that are willing to "guinea pigs", we know what we are getting into, we know they may be a flop, we don't care, we want to try different things for better or worse, there is nothing like finding out first hand. It's not like we are doing something that will kill us, jumping off a bridge into unknown waters, etc...
