If you want to close the gap between the GGTS and AFS v2:

You shouldn't do this unless you're absolutely sure you have the skill to undo the steps below
I accept no responsibility for the actions you take. No one is forcing you to modify your GG.

For the OCD types, there is a ton of stuff in the cap that has never been cleaned.
When the cap assembly becomes longer you will need to make the GG longer to accommodate it.
I think this is safe to do, because it doesn't change the mechanics of the device. I've had my GG setup like this for about 15 hours, and I haven't had an issue.
Note: If you "sink" an atty or carto instead of an AFS, the airflow to it will be lessened. If you go too far, there will be zero airflow. An AFS obviously won't have that problem.
To reverse the actions taken, repeat steps 1 through 5. Instead of loosening in step 4a, tighten. If that doesn't work, you're on you own, I warned you at the beginning.

- Remove the cap of the GG
- Pull the center pin out
- An o-ring may come out in the following steps. It is tiny, and a pain to put back. It goes in the threaded black plastic piece.
- The flat bolt should be thumb tight, unscrew it.
- The bigger bolt is the most tightened part of the GGTS, you'll need a 15/32 socket (it's a little loose, maybe 1 size smaller) and wrench. In metric try 11.5mm or 12mm. Conversion Table
- Only loosen the nut a small bit (break the seal), no need to take it off.
- Put the flat bolt and pin back in. O-ring too, if it came out.
