I Am

Joanna (Mrs. Cash) my fiance is in Los Angeles visiting family. I couldn't take time away from PureSmoker, not to mention I hate flying. So .... without any family in TN or too many friends (seeing as we just moved here in March) ... I get to go eat Turkey alone at Mimi's Cafe for Thanksgiving!

Anyone else in my shoes ... ??? Atleast I can *ponder* to myself what I'm thankful for :) And I can atleast spend time with my babies (Dogs and Cats).

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!!!

I live alone and my family is all gone. For the first few years it seemed a little sad and lonely but now I rather enjoy it. I've actually gotten to a point that I really enjoy my personal time. I flew every week for business (20+ years) and was on the go all the time. It's nice to finally be able to settle in and have time for my projects (Jeeps and Helicopters).
I'll probably go fly in the morning and then eat at Cool River tomorrow afternoon.
Might try to catch a little flying time tomorrow evening and definately Friday (weather's suppose to be nice). Do a little maintenance on the vehicles Saturday morning and probably wind up back at the field. Might just have to work some Ice Cream and a nap in there somewhere.

To quote Einstein
"I live in that solitude which is painful in youth, but delicious in the years of maturity"

Well my work is pretty demanding also. So I too will be alone tomorrow but hey thats OK. I figure that I am saving time to plan a great vacation of relaxing in the sun for a week next month. I love being with family, but I wouldnt actually call it so relaxing! Just a note of thank you for your excellent work, design and delivery of a products. You are probably saving lives every day! Hopefully your business will just continue to grow and you will earn so much money that you wont have to fly- you will fly all of your relatives into YOUR place in the future!!! Congratulations on your up and coming wedding!!!!!!

Happy Thanksgiving Loners,
I am taking my wife to the airport as soon as she stops rushing around so I will soon be in the same boat. I am going bike riding through a bird preserve to watch Cranes with some friends later in the day. Then, I am loading up the dogs and visiting some other friends for dogs and drinks. So a good day but odd since I am used to spending Thanksgiving cooking and hanging out with my wife.

Happy Thanksgiving, Steve! Enjoy your peaceful time with your animals! You have plenty of friends here too! We are just going out to a nice brunch with our parents later today and then having desert over her tonight! We usually don't make a huge production out of Thanksgiving anymore, as our parents are getting older. I do Christmas dinner at my house for everyone.

After the last couple weeks at work, I need all the me time I can get. Was invited to a friends, but her neighborhood scares me. 8-o And since my partner passed, holidays are not the same. Just started the oven to slow roast a pork roast, with some corn bread, and green beans. A little of my home made scotch juice loaded in my Protege and I'll be happy.

Plus there's a packer game on in an hour!

I am really sorry that your partner passed. I know it makes the holidays so much harder. :(

Hopefully with each year that passes it will become a little easier. Of course, our loved ones are never forgotten and things will never be the same but you will move forward. Have a Happy Turkey Day and enjoy rockin' out your Protege to the football game!!!
