Gonna be spotty here for a few days. Leaving shortly for a family funeral gathering thing. Oldest sisters husband died in an accident. I am sure the motel will have wifi though and taking my Kindle Fire. Hate typing on that thing though. Not a fan of touch screens.
Have a good one.
Deepest sympathy, very tragic, especially when it's so sudden and unexpected like that.

I just checked out the Kabuki tank and was even thinking about getting it but then I checked on the prices of the coils and they are double the price of my EVOD's. That is a deal breaker with me.
I cannot rebuild, so pre made coils are what I use.
Sometimes I really thankful for being tight. It reigns in the shinyitis.
Kat was telling me she is still using the same coil that came with the tank, I guess it depends how long they last compared to the EVOD's, maybe that could be a playing factor.

It is worth the money and I can see why people buy two or three of them, 316L surgical steel, fused quartz tank and precision machining, its like night and day from the Chinese tanks. It comes down to the old saying again, you only get what you pay for. The drip tip has to go though, I'm going to get one hand made for it from a friend of mine, he makes great tips or mouthpieces as I like to call them.
It is too shinyitis. But that's not always a bad thing. I'm not a very good guitarist, but I play a guitar that cost over $2300 used, and used to belong to a minor league rock star.
I love it. It's a very rare Parker DF842. Other guitarists have told me that playing it feels like cheating.
So shinyitis isn't always a bad thing.

Thanks. I have been using Steam Engine since day one and always had my eye on the box on the right but maybe I was not using it properly. I mean I was just looking at the colour and not really minding the numbers. So when I only had mods that went up to 11 watts I would build my coils so that they would give me a nice middle green on the maximum wattage I could go. Now, with your help, I am reading it better.
Excellent!
I hope that all made some sort sense as I had to come back to it a few times. I am at work and was asked by my boss to get a job finished instead of playing on Steam Engine... :D

Damn work gets in the way of everything.

Do you use the origional single coil Evods? if so check here, $1.50 genuine Kanger Evods.
Kanger EVOD Bottom Coil Changeable Cartomizer – ElectronicStix.Com

And these coils are good. I like the 2.2 ohm ones. 3.99 for 5.
Value EVOD Replacement Coils (5pc)

Strangely I have a surplus of €23.50 on my credit card..... and the Euro has strengthened against both the US$ and the GBP. Hmmmm, if I weren't going away on Saturday I'm sure I would be doing some shopping right now. :D

Yikes, glad I ordered the shisha strawberry when I did (last week); it must have been before the euro strengthening, because there wasn't that big of a gap between euro figures and dollar figures.

The 30g would be a hotter, faster ramping coil at your 11W (assuming) than the 28g would. You would have to run the 28g at 20W to get the same warm vape as the 30g.

30g Coil
28g Coil

I find that 29ga is a great compromise between the speed of 30ga and durability of 28ga -- it ramps up to vape temperature very quickly, but it's a lot longer-lasting than 30ga, and easier to work with.

Except for Authentic $200 Stingray Mods and $300 Cherry Bombers that have really sketchy/janky and possibly dangerous construction. Switches that you have to modify to get the mod working properly and safely. Well there is nothing safe about a Cherry Bomber...

Ok I know there are some driptip aficionados around here; I need to find a nice driptip (NOT one of those tailpipe-chuff things) that combines pink and purple. I'm thinking of giving cartotanks another swing, but the purple UDCT I have doesn't match any purple mods that I know about, it actually doesn't look bad on my pink iStick30, because that's a purplish pink, and the UDCT is a very pinkish purple --- links, please, to try and find something that will coordinate these two colors together!

Now you are speaking my language!!
Thanks RC! I have been getting my single coils from MBV to fit my pt 2's.
I have the air flow control adapter for them, that I love.
I will be trying their oc coils soon though.
Condolences on your loss.

It's not as if the Euro has gone back to the level it was at before the Greek crisis but it is slightly better today.... don't know why, maybe because the Renminbi is going to the dogs.

I've not been able to find a proper 29g - the closest I got was 0.3mm which is somewhere in between the 28 and 29.

what is a UDCT? I mainly use the cherry vape acrylic drip tips (seriously love them) and they have a mixed hot pink (like the istick pink) harlequin pawn and purple/lilac ming one that kinda matches my coolfire purple just darker in some areas. Has them on sale for $6.50 Cherry Vape Drip Tips (MADE IN USA) – ElectronicStix.Com I picked up a few more for myself!

I was able to buy 100ml shisha strawberry for less than $20, so even with shipping from Poland, it was less than $25 -- I'll take it! :thumb: It shipped yesterday, no idea how long it will take to get here. Great prices on Inawera flavors at e-aromashop.com.

I know Lightning Vapes has it now, but when I first looked for it, they didn't -- I googled it, and found brand-name Temco 29ga on ebay, something like $5 for 50ft.
