Are you done stocking up?

Somewhere out there
I wish I had the grey matter to DIY with mods and build my own coils etc but I accepted long ago that it just isn’t an option for me. Are there any good plug-and-play batteries worth stocking up on? One of my earliest vapes was an Innokin mvp2. I liked it a lot but came to prefer Vision Spinner and ego style batteries and I honestly don’t remember how long the Innokin lasted.

If I were to stock up on the newer MVPs or something like ego batteries (are the Spinners even around any more?) how long do those stay usable if they’re just being stored? Would they last a couple years? Or after 6 months would I find myself with a bunch of dead batteries?

I’ve been wanting to try the Uwell Caliburn and if I like it, I’ll probably also use that however long I can. I prefer small, discreet vapes during the day or whenever I’m out and about, and I can’t seem to find clearomizers for my favorite 808-d pen vapes from Migcig anymore (Migcig has their own, of course, but they are so overpriced I had to look elsewhere). But I know both the Caliburn and the Migcigs aren’t likely to be available long term if all of this goes down the way we expect it to. Are there simple, user-friendly options that can at least get me through a year or two?
There are small pods you might like, I have a innokin Gala, small easy to use, I also have several Orion's. The problem is long term use is limited, maybe 3 years before the internal batts die in the Orion's and maybe the same or sooner for the pod Gala. For longer use you need a replaceable batt mod and a rebuildable tank.

I went back to vaping after smoking for 2 years. My Ego batteries were still usable and one was still fully charged for what its worth.

Question for Aegis Solo users: If you use an RTA with it, what RTA are you using? Just ordered a couple for my wife and myself. I'm not interested in a drop in coil tank and since the Solo is wider than any of our mods, I'm thinking something other than a 22mm RTA would be more appropriate to top it off.
Mike I have used the Cerebus with the SMok TFV8 Baby rebuild deck on it and I have also used the Blotto. The Blotto is the superior setup for flavor BUT its a big tank and doesn't really look quite right on a tiny mod like the Solo.

Oh and as an addendum, I am not at all meaning to diminish the importance of the Provari I use exclusively for my 6mg tobacco MTL (I use it discreetly throughout the day as I am a caregiver at home taking care of a family member) and the four Kayfun Mini V3 clones I have ready when I cannot get more coils for my Innokin Endura tank. I am a huge fan of that setup but realize its days are, too, numbered. I actually have an authentic Kayfun that seems to weigh about two pounds but I am saving that one back for a seriously rainy day.

Well my RTA searched led me to the Shinyitus thread and someone there recommended a Steam Crave Aromamizer V2. Did a quick google search on it and found it at VapeNW for $9.99... before my code. I ordered 6. There was a TON of killer deals over at VapeNW I recommend browsing their inventory.

You can actually buy coils already wound for you, so all you have to do is put them under the screws and stick in the cotton or rayon.

Plus, Dakota, they have neat tools to help you wrap your coils nowadays. It's a ton easier than it was back in the day.
I used rebuildables for a short time (quite awhile back), but switched to buying discontinued clearance product that worked well for me instead... coils run me between 60-80 cents each (depending on which of my tanks I buy them for) and they last me 3-4 weeks. And I can always clean them later to squeak out some additional time. I currently have about 260+ coils in my stash, that's enough for 10 years for both my wife and I, plus probably another 5 or more years if I clean them. Rebuilding just doesn't seem worth the hassle to me. I do still have my old rebuildables in the event I need them 15 years from now though. lol

I solved my conundrum on what to order - an aegis solo full kit with two packs of Vaporesso gt ccell 2 coils. That heatwave30 really knocked the cost down nicely [emoji3]

My normal day to day things will still primarily be my 2x700 squonkers, but it'll be nice to have some standard mods and tanks for what-if scenarios.

Same with my Spinners. I got them out a while ago after they had been sitting on the back of a shelf for 2 years. I had 14, Spinners and a few Egos. I expected them to be ready for recycling but they all seemed good as new, except for one Spinner that was dead.

I have an iStick 40 that's been in use daily for over 4 years and still seems to take a full charge.

Sometimes internal battery mods can surprise you.

    See below for my code.

You can't post personal referral codes on here. Might want to remove the image containing it and edit your post wording.

ETA: Replaced the nasty, snarling faced, little icon with a sort of nicer one. I could swear I've seen a simple scrolling little banner that just said Rules somewhere.

I'm in Michigan, one of the ground zero places. Stocking has been part of the hobby for me for 4 1/2 of my 5 years vaping. I've tried to be smart about it, especially not wasting money. Keep it simple. Only rebuildable atomizers, mods with replacable batteries and 100 mg nic or higher need to be considered. Everything else is generic. How many years does your stash need to last, 10 years, 20? I estimate mods and atomizers will last 2 years of continuous use. A liter bottle of 100 mg should last me 4 years. From there do the math with the number of years you picked. (A liter of 100 mg, meaning 10%, has 100,000 mg of nic.)

Hang on to mods with internal batteries even after the batteries are depleted. It's possible an electronics shop can install a fresh battery with the same specs. That could cost more than a new mod but if new mods aren't available you'll be glad t pay for that repair.

I didn't know it was any type of personal code I just use Honey to look up codes for me. Removed.

You could post the TAYLOR15 code that you used for the discount...no problem. The problem was the code that would lead people to Honey. It was a personal code for you...that would let Honey know that people had clicked on your link to them. You'd receive $5 in Honey Gold then. That's why it's not allowed. They're called referral codes. No harm, no foul. Just a heads up.

That build deck looks so small to work on that's why I stayed away from the Cerebus. Am I wrong is it relatively easy to coil/wick it? Also, how would you say the Cerebus w/ the RBA deck compares to a 'true' RBA for vape and flavor?

It IS small but no worse than a subtak mini rebuild deck. Once coiled rewicking is no big deal. Getting it coiled can be something of a pain. Taste wise it is very good, Not as good as actual Cerebus coils or the blotto.

Do you know if that's the original V2 6ml version. The SteamCrave website shows 2 V2's. The V2 6ml as discontinued and a V2 3 in 1 kit version.

I think you were replying to a different post? [emoji3]

I do have several Aromamizers, though I haven't used them in years. Happy to send them to a new home.

I got these recently from Amazon for filling tanks. The bottles have markings on them for filling, and they came with 5 different sizes of syringe needles and those goofy looking long caps to fit on the needles.
