Is there an effective way to clean drop in coils? I’ve never tried.
Yes. There are probably better ways but this is how I did it: You rinse the coil out as much as possible in warm water then blow into the coil from above while sealing the air intake. The remnant juice then bubbles out through the cotton and out the wicking ports. You'll need to be a bit careful til you work out how hard to blow or you run the risk of hurting your ears. Do this until it seems clean then leave to dry off. I found this used to double my coil life. It mainly cleans the cotton - not much of the crud off the coil itself.
I've still got a box of re-used coils in a drawer but haven't used any drop ins for years

Nick's (GrimmGreen) company is based in Massachusetts and he is going out of business, he is having a 50% off sale on everything.

I watched the video where he announced the closure yesterday. I felt so bad for him. He was almost in tears. And no wonder.

ONLY 37? I guess since I don't use drop-ins normally, I'm not used to buying any. So that seems like quite a lot!
I have been collecting the T 18 coils since 2016 stock up, so they just sort of multiplied LOL They are great little tanks for when I don't have time to change a build.

I bottom-fill it, and the coil floods every time. My fault, probably. I tend to overfill.
I haven't tried bottom filling yet. I tried the top fill add on I got on FT. It works well except the air hole weeping, but now that I blow in the air hole no flooding or weeping. I really like no bottom screw to deal with :)

It takes just the right amount of wicking or it will certainly leak out the airhole. I just got mine yesterday and my first wick job was a fail, second time I left the tails at full thickness and it's been great. I use rayon though so YMMV with cotton.

I use rayon and thin my tails to a v maybe next time I'll leave the tails fuller :)

Definitely give it a shot. I've been using rayon going on four years and I always thin the tails also. But I woke up this morning and had a bit of juice on the side of my KFL '19, we will see in the morning but I'm confident it won't leak since the tails are now full thickness and it's been a beautiful vape to boot.
