You think Aegis is bad. When I first arrived in America, after I got through immigration at New York I headed for the airport bar and asked for a pint of Michelob. New Yorkers can be real jerks, how was I supposed to know. Almost got back on the plane and went home.

My family went to the WTC on a vacation about 25 years ago, and in the (fairly crowded) elevator on the way up, my funny husband was talking to some folks and mentioned I was from NJ originally. I was met with a chorus of New Joysey. Me being me I said, “The only people I ever met who mispronounce that are from New York.”

It really is a wonder nobody has ever killed me lol.

Thank you...that makes me feel better. :)

I know I’ve gone through this before with ft. I’m just out of practice.

I've got one that shipped 10/7 that's still hanging out in pre-shipment too. I have orders I've made after that arriving this week. No rhyme or reason, it's fasttech.

Hello All. Hope everyone is doing well.

I’m starting to stress. I’ve got four FT orders out. The most recent I’m not expecting to see anything for tracking quite yet but the rest have been saying “Pre Shipment” for about two weeks. I opened tickets on them. And I can wait. I just don’t like not knowing for sure what the heck is going on.

And, perhaps as importantly, these packages complete my stock up stash and not having them in hand is making me feel in limbo. I don’t want to go and buy something else from a USA retailer just because I’m paranoid about the other.

I don’t even know what else I could buy if I did start to feel itchy about it. More duplicates of what I already have stored is such a buzzkill. I mean really, anything else for mods I’d pick up would be something nice. I’ve been eyeballing the Lunas here. Those are nice.

Thursday I fly to Dallas to see some relatives. No vape ban in TX. Maybe I’ll try to get out to a local B&M and let something shiny catch my eye. I’ll bring home some eliquids, FOR SURE.

Anyway. I’ve been enjoying the conversations here today. :)

It’s not uncommon for orders to show no progress for quite some time, and lately it seems more errant than usual.

You can check by going to your orders and click the info link.

Sometimes an item says in stock or ships next day when you click buy, and usually under info it will say ready to ship. That doesn’t mean they’ll get it packaged right away though. I never open a ticket until I see a problem. If it starts showing a ship date - seems like that date will always be a week away - I pay more attention. As long as that ETA doesn’t keep getting bumped out it should be okay.

The few times FT could not get an item for me, they opened a ticket and I got an email. They’ve been really good about changing an order, or refunding me.

On fasttech and shipping. I have had orders take 2 months to get here before.

I do know they are having some issues with one of their shippers. After waiting a month one of my packages got returned to them before it even left their country. They resent it (no charge to me) via a different shipper. It seems to be moving better now. This kind of thing happens every now and then with them.

I have noticed that they have really improved with dealing with items that have an eta that then suddenly goes to restocking. They split the order pretty quick now rather than have it sit in packaging for days or weeks like it used to. Of course that has its own frustrations. My 6 orders are now 14 separate packages to keep track of when it comes to shipping.

Bless you for the reminder. I’m leaving room in my checked bag. What with all the cosmetics I travel with, I have to put liquids and such in a checked bag. (I am one of “those” women. Lol.)
Just a thought, you could put a bunch of stuff in a box and ship it to yourself from Texas.

I did exactly that when the hubby and I did Disney a few years ago. Shipping is far cheaper than overweight bag fees. So we shipped all the extra stuff we had picked up on the trip and as a side benefit we had smaller lighter bags to wrestle with.

Yes, it is. But how do you know at what temperature bad things begin to happen to different wires (alloys)? AFAIK, nobody really studied it yet. They looked at e-juices misbehaving at 420-450° F (formaldehyde, acrolein, etc), but metals? Nope.
Oh I don't want to worry about that yet.

Anyway, I used to dry burn, heck, we used to torch the wires with big butane torches to clean them. Now I clean my wire with Isopropyl alcohol, wash/rinse/dry well and then make my coils. I do gently pulse my coils a couple of times when rewicking, then replace them. Wire is cheap and I like a fresh coil and a fresh wick.
Those were the days. I used to torch SS wicks many times, otherwise they'll short. I use it now to torch weeds in my backyard lol.
Rather than pulsing it, dry burning in TC removes the guesswork out of it and results in lower coil temps (cooler to a finger placed a few millimeters above coil). You can set the temp as low you wish. The purpose is to expand then shrink the metal when dipped in water so any leftover gunk falls off.

How many mods must a person have in their cache, before they are stocked up quite well?
Depends on the mods.
Are they mechanical or regulated/protected?
If they have electronics in 'em, are spare boards available, and does the person have the skills to swap in a spare?

I trust the people that use and work with ss wire.
Stainless Steel Coil & Wire Instructions and Tips

Agree. I’ve only been using RBAs for about 1.5 years, but some of the folks here have been at it a long time. I don’t see them having negative effects.

I do try to keep up with all the safety facets, but to be honest, I still balance that with the fact I smoked for 35 years and never once wondered what the paper was made from, what temp did it burn at, and what chemicals did it turn into that I was going to inhale.

    Somewhere between here and there
I thought I got the ehpro cold steel ordered before they ran out but emailed them since mine hadn't shipped from sourcemore and they said they will have more tomorrow and will get it shipped out.

I sort of regret buying those. I wish I would have bought the GeekVape Blade instead.

Number of mods is a puzzle, I think a variety is good and definitely keep the longest lasting mods in your stash. For regulated I have many Provari's because so far they have the longest yrs use. 8 yrs for my mini. But I have several mech's too and a bunch of other regulated just for fun :) Plus the other size batt mods. I know I have a good stash but I keep shopping because this is our last chance.

According to a vendor that I've had order more authentic Eleaf 30W iSticks for me, from her supplier in China...they're still making the 30W ones. So if you buy from a vendor that has a pretty good turnover of product...you'll likely get brand new ones, not very old stock. By the way...I have some older 10W, 20W, and 30W ones that are 3+ years old and still going strong.

I know that Rocky Mountain Vapor got in a supply of them in the last month or so. Someone I'm helping get stocked up had to wait for him to get an order of them from China, to get the 4 she bought from him. Lots of clones have been sold on eBay, but RMV and other vendors mentioned carry authentic ones.

KangerWholesale has been out of all their regular Zenith coils for some time now, and the last I checked on Sunday. Their CS people have told me they don't know if/when they'll get any more of them. They mentioned something about Innokin possibly coming up with another new coil to use in the Zeniths and other tanks that take the same coils.
Thanks for the info. Yeah, I noticed KangerWholesale is out of Zenith coils. They had that good deal on them a few weeks ago, and I got 10 boxes at the time. Looks like they're getting more scarce.

By the way, I love Rocky Mountain Vapor. Great folks. Isn't the 30w iStick the one that many folks felt was superior to the others? I seem to remember that from my very early days here about three and a half years ago.
