@fiddleshe @rosesense Just heard back from Smokly about the starry night blade after I contacted them. No go. Out of stock. He offered to send me an aegis 200 mod worth more than double but I declined. reviews of this place are horrid. I’m not playing around with them any longer. I asked for a full refund. Oh well. Just wanted y’all to know.

One thing to look out for when you use a squonk refill bottle is to take the battery out if it's a mech squonker. Many of the refill bottles will cause a hard short when you screw them into the 510
The bottles we've been recommending, like the vandy vape and lost vape, have the silicone on the positive, no short risk.

I do have a cheapie refill bottle that didn't have the insulator, came with a kit. I tossed the bottle, kept the top; screw it in and you can measure the resistance of a mech, by clipping a milliohm meter to the positive and negative battery contacts.

I ordered a small Kelvin ohmmeter online, along with a project box and some single 18650 battery sleds (it's designed to run off standard lithium batteries). 2 milliohm - 2 ohm scale, it appears to be accurate based on testing multiple 1% resistors. Under $40 all in.

It's worth watching this before you build.

Hey I bought two of those on a recommendation of an old friend on ECF. Haven’t cracked open the box yet. I am about ready to play with my gear instead of buy new gear. My head has been spinning lately with all this shopping.

Great info thanks. One of my 2 refill bottles has silicon on the positive - didn't mean to cause a scare but even one person shorts out a battery and it's a bad day

Shipping from sourcemore will be a bit slow... But worth the savings.
Well SourceMore was the winner. Got the Luna in Mosaic White. I’m super excited, but also very much for the Serpent. I don’t think the Serpent is going into the stockpile...I need to get back in the saddle of using an RTA as an ADV.

I’ve got money burning a hole in my pocket. Someone help me.

I’ve got enough mods, but I’m open to any good deals on regulated squonks.

I’ve got enough tanks, but I really ought to buy a more modern single coil friendly RTA.

I’ve got enough eliquid, but I wouldn’t mind buying stuff for a new recipe.

Anyone want to help a lonely lady on a Friday night? If not, I will shunt myself off into a corner and quietly like all your posts.
Gremlin DIY is having a flavor sale. As for Squonks I went for Pulse 80 & 90's and two Topsides by Dovpo. I have the Luna, a mech Pulse and a Reo. Have not tried any of them yet except to put in batts to be sure they work :)

You mean the TopSide Duo? (Sorry, I’m just now learning some of the newer mod names) They seem like wonderful devices.

The Luna will go into the stash, and it is hard not pulling out one of my Pulse 90w out of it. I want to squonk every day so badly but I can’t take myself away from my FireLuke mesh. I’m just addicted to it.

ETA headed for the Gremlin sale....lol.... :)

Having to pull the battery out pretty much defeats the convenience of using a fill tool. :( Thanks for the info (and warning). Note to self: Use fill tools on Regulated Squonkers only!
The good refill bottles are zero issue on a mech. Bottle descriptions will say if they have the insulator (or ask).

For instance, the vandy vape bottles i like:

$15.04 Authentic Vandy Vape 510 Central Refill Bottle for BF Squonk Mod (2-Pack) 2-pack - 30ml / silicone + stainless steel at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

In The photo, the bottle on the left is exactly the bottle I linked to, while on the right is the newer VV refill bottle pro (I picked up a couple of the newer ones for my stash, but prefer the original design).

Both of them have a white top - that's an insulator. Feel free to hold the fire button down, it'll still appear as an open circuit, not a short.
