    Mornin y’all,

My mother in law had emergency surgery this morning for some tumors they found in her back last night after an MRI. She has plasma cell leukemia and was going to have her first stem cell transplant Wednesday but now that’s postponed. A late night, and an early morning.

I just don’t have anywhere else to say this where it won’t alarm people who don’t know about it yet. So, thanks for being here, and I promise I won’t make this site my diary.

vaping-related, last night I broke out with some juice in the freezer, something to get rid of creeping vapor tongue. From Blue Dot Vapor, it’s called Callisto, and it is a creamy vanilla lemongrass menthol, totally not in my wheelhouse. But oh man it worked, and suddenly my multitudinous cake liquids taste like cake today.

No promises if I do any comfort-shopping today or not. Will likely be a long day at the hospital and I don’t conduct business over their public WiFi. I’m still excited and glad I pulled the trigger on the TopSide. Saw those floating around in photos and liked the way they look and then our dear @bnrkwest sent me to a good deal on one.

If I do buy anything else today, I’m going to shoot for a modern squonk rda, as my Berserker is sitting in an unopened box and my greedy little paws really want to try it. :)
Take care of yourself and positive thoughts heading to you.

I have one here that I was pressured into buying at a B&M a long time ago. I never built it because of the strange coil. It's interesting looking. Just sitting here waiting for the vapocalypse.
You may not have the same problems with it I did. We got them in at the shop so I was not the only person who had this issue with it. I’m not exactly rough with any of my things and I don’t have strong hands. The double o-rings created a *very* effective seal which is what prevented easy removal of the glass (but I am hardly an engineer so someone please correct me if I’m wrong).

In the end I had purchased two of them (shocker) because I so enjoyed the way they looked and tasted, but again, the issue with the glass. If you do ever end up using it, find a special occasion, as you may not have it beyond the replacement glass

Take care of yourself and positive thoughts heading to you.
    Thank you :)

Well it came with 2 replacement glass so I can get some use out of it at least. Good luck with your MIL. I hope you can find things to distract you today, you will need it.

Thanks :) She was diagnosed in March and it has been a really, really, really, really hard year consistently since.

Enjoy the Theorem. Don’t listen to my naysaying. :)

    Sounds like a PITA
Not really. It took about 5 minutes. My description may have made it sound more complicated than it really is. Just have to be careful not to take too much off. The plastic is soft so it is easy to go too deep when filing. Worth it to be able to use 30Ts in it.

It sounds like a good use for a dremel with one of the grinding bits. I use a dremel for widening squonk cutouts, smoothing copper contact edges, etc,
Just gotta be careful with it. I have a dremel but I didn't use it on it. The plastic cuts really easily. I opted for a file. It took about 5 passes on each side and then a bit of sanding with 1000 grit. The second one I did for @NolaMel came out pretty good. Didn't look modified. The first one wasn't so great tho...lol

Is anyone keeping score on this thread? Of either items purchased or dollars spent? I think it would be cool. I'm not your gal but... yeah.

I have only been keeping track of my total inventory. I would be afraid to find out how much I have spent. Plus it would probably be uncomfortable to share that number anyway.
