Not sure I will ever have grandkids. Son has never even dated.

I’m a tea drinker. Gave up coffee a little over a year ago. Mom is going to buy me some teas for Christmas. Where do you buy the caramel apple rooibos?
I am addicted to Republic of Tea, they have fabulous flavors :) Caramel Apple Red Tea Bags
The Caramel Vanilla Cuppa Cake tea is also fabulous. Add some honey or stevia- yum :)

Not even going to ask how much books are these days, I know they were expensive 20 years ago.

My youngest daughter started this semester. Her books were a little over 900. We couldn’t find any of hers used online. Hoping for less next semester.

That's about what my tuition was 20 years ago. Well ok exaggerating it was $1500 but still.

Hey everyone, been home from the hospital for about an hour. MIL came out of surgery doing well.

been perusing FT wondering if I want to buy some different size barrels for my KF2019. I really, really love that tank and already bought a double for the stash. But I’m using the other and refilling it all the time, and while doing so, having to use a tool to unscrew the base that’s always acting welded shut. I see there is a top fill option. Anyone using that? If you like it, I’ll have to buy a few.
I use the top fill, I need to try the long version too.

Sorry if I'm interrupting the "flow" of the thread...but am WAY behind...and this may be the last day of the deal (???)...

RiverSupply has Vape Kitchen ejuice 60ml. bottles on Sale for $3.99...but...use the code VapeKitchen25 to get 25% off...and they'll be 60ml. for $2.99...

Not fond of retirees lol. They drive slow and vote poorly.

I retired 3 months before my 52nd birthday...after 30 years of teaching. Even years later...I still don't drive slowly nor vote poorly. I likely never will.

Here in central Florida...the locals can't drive slowly, whether you're a retiree or not. In Winter, we have to react quickly to dodge all the "barely-crawling-along-at-way-less-than-the-speed-limit" retirees who come down then for 4-5 months. In Summer, it's the same thing, sort of. Except then...it's because of all the tourists trying to navigate the highways to/from the attractions and the beach communities...while checking their GPS, maps, etc. and watching out for roadwork detours, changed exits and entrances, lane reconfigurations, etc. that don't show up on either of those!

    AGREED ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^

Or when a Hurricane hits - or those without gas stove (only have electric stoves). . . Have a French Press too . . . Also - Ya' can use just a regular drip pot too . . . All ya' nee to do is put in filter then coffee and pour water - that was heated in a thin bottom pot on a Sterno Folding Stove - over the grounds (same as when using any drip pot). . . Can also even use a Sterno Stove to heat soup, beans, & other canned foods, including Stews/Chili/Cornbeef Hash/Vegetables/etc. . . . Just make sure the can is opened - TAKE TOP OFF . . . I just so happen to have a couple of the Sterno Folding Stoves and a 12 cans of Sterno too in a closet (one of the reasons I have no more room to store "Stuff") . . . Just Sayin' . . . ;)

FYI: They are usually inexpensive (The Stoves I got were only $5 each & a case of Sterno $10) and Ya' can pick them up in your local Supermarket/Camping Supply - Sporting stores/Restaurant Supplies/Walmart/Dollar Stores/even on Amazon too . . .

    .

I do too. My cooktop is gas, but a really big hurricane can knock that off too. We have a tri-fuel generator , but if natural gas is off.... “car” gas and propane can be extra sparse. Sterno, yay! right in the cabinet ;).

But by and large, Arizona is a natural disasters that plagues many states, who have to border it. FEMA does not come to our state very often due to the many venomous insects and the occasional spontaneous combustion of its members. When it does it's to enlarge a wildfire for the good of the union0. So come to Phoenix, where the sun shines 299 days a year! ( Do you enjoy having the soles of your feet burned if you walk barefoot? Come to PHOENIX)

Fixed that for you. Also, I haven't even gotten into the venomous creatures yet, I forgot (momentarily) all about those. I lived in Sydney as a middle schooler and had the RUN of the wildlife, including a pony I took out into the bush.

IN ARIZONA I have been bitten by 2 brown recluse spiders (they come in your house, dude) I have nearly been stung by ONE rattler because I had NO clue it sounded like electrical wires, I was like smoking and like, "where is that" and looked down at a coiled RATLER just all coiled rattling at me. I ranh inside shrieking "Snake, snake!" (I cannot deal with those suckers.) So the husband killed it. Our big dog got bit 3 times because she is slow at figuring out things, or she was. Also, there are the SCORPIONS. I first encountered a scorpion perhaps my first WEEK in AZ and it lived right under where I smoked. The first time I saw it I was like, "Meh" that CAN"T BE REAL that is like a scene from ALIENS. The second time, I ran inside screaming "scorpion, scorpion!!" and like, my son and my mother chased it down and killed it with a can of raid. The stepfather cured it with gorilla glue and sat it on a log. I had to live with that scorpion a LONG time. In the shower one time,. one of the smaller ones like, tried to sting me only thankfully it was kinda having trouble and I was able to leap OUT.

DO NOT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE FYING COCKROACHES. I killed ONE with a flyswatter because my husband was out of town, and I was like OMG NO I CANNOT live with that existing and Just Me so I fly swatted it to death. It fought back. It was also disgustingly MEATY for a cockroach.

Granted I lived on an acre of land but in AZ it is so DAMNED hot, the critters want IN. Sydney was nice. Yeah, saw the occasional funnel web spider, but they just sat peacefully on the bottom of the pool with an air bubble.

The smaller the scorpion the larger the pain. I have heard it HURTS. Bad. Also 1/5 or 1/4 folks are allergic to scorpion venin, so like WATCH out if you are.

Also *I* wound up taking over the pest control in the house, because I wanted it done right. The first time I did it, I was so overenthusiastic I dosed myself, not just the bugs. I twitched for a while, but it was so WORTH it...

BTW the soles of your feet do not burn if you carefully build up callouses.

Spring semester isn’t so bad for my son. Books were only $238. But we’ve had some really expensive semesters. And after vape hoarding and now Christmas, it still hurts. I’m hoping it pays off though. Hopefully he’ll get a good job one day and get off Momma’s bankroll. :)

LOL @NolaMel those tanks BREAK apparently! IDK about the Zenith pro it just looked so weird to me... But I did not get a good look, dude. You must report on the vape.

You know those alerts where it says "there MAY be more messages after this?"

LOL, it really should say "There will be several pages after this;"

My dietician would have a heart attack at some of you lot's eating habits, holy crow, losing 2-3 lbs a day is like SO unhealthy, plus if it worked, long term .you wouldn't still be "on a diet" would you. Also, you have to be AT LEAST 150 lbs overweight to DO that. I mean I could eat NOTHING for a day and not do that. Thank God.

Oh well, if you find your right "eating pattern" for you and you exercise consistently, you don't really need to worry. I mean, yeah I will be munching on stuff like crazy and the Whole Thyroid Madness bit, well, after that is fully corrected, I just eat when I want, do yoga a LOT and I'm down to a size 1-3 (in juniors.)

I must say, that whole fairly recent "inflation" in women's clothes so the average, plump to fat American woman could feel "okay'" about herself was not Kind to the Slender, I mean yeah no I don't want to wear a mickey mouse shirt all the damn time. LOL. I am not alone.

But yeah my dietician would FLIP. The lectures you would get. She's not TINY either (she is older) but she knows how to dress, she is proportional and appears to be BURSTING with health. I wouldn't mind looking more like HER actually. I'm a stick.

I still have my first Innokin zenith from when they were released. They’re pretty bomb proof. I decided early on they would be my “I can’t or don’t want to build” tanks for the stash. AF is acceptable, and the coils last forever. Zlides don’t see much use because they’re 22mm, but will be fine on my original provaris if needed. I would not have kind things to say about their ares rta... not a fan. But, they’re releasing an updated version later this year. We’ll see how that turns out.
