Guys I rebuild everything I can even if I do have some drop in coils stocked. Always have. I am looking at cataract surgery in the next couple of years. So I am saving my drop in coils for that because I won't be able to build for awhile. The hubby can deal with drop in coils for me. Building? probably not a good plan for him.
It's retina problems for me - same situation in reverse, with a ton of drop-ins for my wife. One way or another we'll keep vaping!

I figured out something I am missing. A set of tools for common screw sizes on mods. When the screws sometimes get loose I end up using a steak knife to tighten them, but using that never seems to get them tight enough and I run the risk of stripping them. Anyone know where to get a kit that focuses on the common mod sizes whether it be something like 1/4" bits or allen wrenches to fit them?

EDIT: It seems some are hexagon, some are star-like or whatever those would be called.

I have not received the 2 I ordered yet (coming Tuesday). Is this something you figured out on your own, or was there something in writing with the RBA thingy? I do not plan on using mine for quite some time, wondering if I should attach a note to them if there isn't something already there.

Did you order them from BeyondVape? I order a couple on Nov. 6th from them. I got the order confirmation email but nothing else. I don't know if they are just 'slow' fullfilling orders or if something has gone wrong.

Anyone else order from Beyond Vape last week and and still waiting on a shipping notice?

I got my shipping notification within 48 hours I think. USPS says it will be here tomorrow.

EDIT: Ordered on the 6th, shipping confirmation on the 7th.

The "star-like" screws are Torx. Sizes T5 and T8 are commonly used on mods. I don't know the size names of the hex keys but the little tri - tool that comes with Geekvape attys covers most. You probably have hundreds!

Edit: I didn't have my glasses on when I posted that - it should read T5 and T6

Out of my 57 attys, I don't have any Geekvape attys believe it or not, just mods from them.

Look on Amazon for computer tool sets and maybe even gunsmithing tool sets. The star shaped ones are called "Torx".

Thanks ... I dropped 'em an email concerning my order to make sure nothing went awry with it.

I do too. My cooktop is gas, but a really big hurricane can knock that off too. We have a tri-fuel generator , but if natural gas is off.... “car” gas and propane can be extra sparse. Sterno, yay! right in the cabinet ;).

I have a 5500 watt generator that is good for lights and small appliances. It's gas, but works fine from a propane tank. I have several propane tanks from grills and fish cookers, so that's a good backup when there's an ice storm.

Fixed that for you. Also, I haven't even gotten into the venomous creatures yet, I forgot (momentarily) all about those. I lived in Sydney as a middle schooler and had the RUN of the wildlife, including a pony I took out into the bush.

IN ARIZONA I have been bitten by 2 brown recluse spiders (they come in your house, dude) I have nearly been stung by ONE rattler because I had NO clue it sounded like electrical wires, I was like smoking and like, "where is that" and looked down at a coiled RATLER just all coiled rattling at me. I ranh inside shrieking "Snake, snake!" (I cannot deal with those suckers.) So the husband killed it. Our big dog got bit 3 times because she is slow at figuring out things, or she was. Also, there are the SCORPIONS. I first encountered a scorpion perhaps my first WEEK in AZ and it lived right under where I smoked. The first time I saw it I was like, "Meh" that CAN"T BE REAL that is like a scene from ALIENS. The second time, I ran inside screaming "scorpion, scorpion!!" and like, my son and my mother chased it down and killed it with a can of raid. The stepfather cured it with gorilla glue and sat it on a log. I had to live with that scorpion a LONG time. In the shower one time,. one of the smaller ones like, tried to sting me only thankfully it was kinda having trouble and I was able to leap OUT.

DO NOT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE FYING COCKROACHES. I killed ONE with a flyswatter because my husband was out of town, and I was like OMG NO I CANNOT live with that existing and Just Me so I fly swatted it to death. It fought back. It was also disgustingly MEATY for a cockroach.

Granted I lived on an acre of land but in AZ it is so DAMNED hot, the critters want IN. Sydney was nice. Yeah, saw the occasional funnel web spider, but they just sat peacefully on the bottom of the pool with an air bubble.

The smaller the scorpion the larger the pain. I have heard it HURTS. Bad. Also 1/5 or 1/4 folks are allergic to scorpion venin, so like WATCH out if you are.

Also *I* wound up taking over the pest control in the house, because I wanted it done right. The first time I did it, I was so overenthusiastic I dosed myself, not just the bugs. I twitched for a while, but it was so WORTH it...

D
I rolled over in bed and got stung by a scorpion right between the shoulder blades. Don't forget tarantulas, javelinas and Gila monsters (we lived up in the Catalina mountains). There is a reason I am no longer in AZ and I shook the dust of it off my feet when I left.

I've heard a lot of talk about the Aries leaking. Is that your experience?

I like to pocket carry and that can lead to a small amount of leakage on a hot day (heat expansion). That's one of the reasons I've stuck with Kayfun Lite. I can slide it in a pocket and forget about leaking. I have the Aires, Beserker, and several other low profile tanks. They tend to stay dry, but a hot day in a pocket can cause expansion of the juice. Then, all bets are off.

It's usually a worn o-ring and that's my first fix when I get heat expansion leaks.

SO has had both done, at different times, of course! She had zero problems with vision - just suddenly clear again. (Actually, the second one was "scratchy" for a couple days, but she could see fine. They've come a long way with that since we were growing up! So you may get to keep those drop-ins longer :)

I hate our lawn from December to May, it very rarely rains, so even with the sprinklers all that really grows is the weeds. Makes mowing it difficult because you cannot see where you already mowed. Sometimes, instead of mowing, I will just walk all over the yard with a weed whacker and hit the weeds that have popped up. lol

Centipede grass may be your solution since it grows slowly and likes sandy soil. Location may be a factor. Here in middle Ga all the grass turns light brown when the cold hits and it hibernates until spring. One last cut in October and I'm good until the weather starts to warm.

For backup I have this set from Harbor Freight.

Fort day to day, i user the Phillips and slotted head drivers from a couple of jewellers screwdriver sets (the ones where there are a half dozen small screwdrivers in a plastic box, something like Precision Screwdriver Set with Molded Handles, 6 Pc. ), plus this Bondhus set:
https://www.amazon.com/Bondhus-10687-Balldriver-Screwdrivers-ProGuard/dp/B0006O4ADI

The smallest couple of drivers are the ones I use all the time, for hex heads on RDA posts. They are well machined, I've never stripped a grub screw using these.

I just got a response back from Vapor RL when I asked them to cancel my order. It's instructions on paying the difference. I don't know what to do a this point. I want to pay the difference and forget about it but the question is will they put the right stuff in the box.

Ours is a whole house generator. On natural gas, I can run both a/cs , appliances etc. On propane I’m limited to one a/c, refrigerators and freezers, battery charger (of course!!!) and few lights. It’s rare for a storm to take out the natural gas. Even Katrina didn’t, and we were without electricity for about 6 weeks then.
I have several of those power bank blocks that I charge up before a storm comes. I don’t like to usb charge mods, but in a pinch, they’re handy for mods and phones. I took two last time I was in the hospital.
