Squid Industries Double Barrel V3 Mod

Coupon code "blackfriday15" for 15% off and I got free shipping! It's so PRETTY! There may be a better sale for Black Friday but I was tired of waiting.

Well - Thank You  for the info and link . . . AND - Although that's not a lot for a mod like that, especially with the discount of 15% off . . . So - Not that I NEED one - I can wait to see if there is a better price during BF/Cyber Monday Deals (probably not likely to happen, but $30 or under would be very nice, especially if it included shipping) . . .

Just Sayin' . . . ;)

He said it in the above post where he thought it came from.
I don't know if it came from there. It was just the only thing I could think of. It could be from a legit vendor that got their db hacked and nothing nefarious on their part.

Somewhere out there
OH...the CC thieves are alive, well, and apparently getting more active! Was at the Tax Collector's office to pay the property taxes on 3 properties, and my CC wouldn't go through! I was shocked! I wanted to pay using it because I'd get the airline miles. I pay my card off every month anyway, so I'd pay no interest to use it.

While there, I called my bank that issued it...and a frauulent purchase had gone through on it only 1 1/2 hours earlier. $229.30 had been put on my CC at GearMusic.com. Told them it wasn't me, but to please unblock it for my taxes payment to go through. They did it, and then froze the account and can't get a new CC to me until Friday.

@BigPappa - I'd be interested to know where your most recent purchases were made with yours...when it got hacked. Can you PM me? Maybe if we compare notes...we'll have some idea who/where to avoid in the future.
So glad you got it worked out to pay your taxes! It irks me to no end about CC thieves. I have had several breaches in the past and 1 card I locked for 6 mos. I did not trust thieves using it.

He said that place was a guess, in his opinion. But I asked where his other purchases were from so we could compare notes, since mine on that card are only vaping places, too. I know at least 2 other ECF members who were hacked very recently, too. We may ALL have some place(s) in common. ;)

They got my Chase card this week.
First it was a $1000 charge at Ralph Lauren that was immediately canceled/refunded. Then it was three rapidfire small charges thru ebay ($0.15 - $1.00). Chase then alerted me and froze the acct. They overnighted a new card and I'm back up and running.

After a little googling, I think many of us may be caught up in the Magecart/Volusion attack.

I actually have a credit freeze in my name. Nothing new can be opened in my name unless they call me specifically on my cell phone and I answer challenge questions. Have bought two cars with it this way. Probably not related but I haven't had much for CC troubles since I did this.

Last time buying a car we were on speaker with the lender, they said it went through, then they ran into the freeze the next day. The finance guy from the dealership left a nervous message on my phone the day after I picked my car up. I was driving around without having official financing for two days.

My bank told me Friday or Monday... I said but black Friday is coming. She did not even hesitate and said they'd FedEx me it overnight and I would have it tomorrow! :)

Yes, likely that hack, or some other similar one. And stolen cards often don't show up for months, depending I suppose on who's selling and who's buying.

Heck, last summer I had one hacked that I'd not used in nearly a year, so that one was probably in one of the big heists, not stolen from a compromised vendor.

(And a credit freeze, while a good layer of security, doesn't prevent use of stolen existing accounts, only opening of new ones.)

I could've paid them with a personal check, but darn it...since I was paying that kind of money, I wanted the airline miles for it! :)

I found out the last time I had a card hacked (summer of 2014) it was at an Avis car rental location here in town. I hadn't used that card in more than a year, when I used it there. There was porn from Lisbon, Spain charged to the card within 3 hours of my using it at Avis. There had been another employee just lurking at a counter, when the other employee had my card in plain view and was entering my card info into the computer. CC theft makes me very angry!

I was getting calls from different real estate agents, for someone named Patricia, telling me that my house for sale has several new buyers. That would be ok, if my name was Patricia, or if I had a house for sale, but alas, this is not the case. They called for a few months, and I kept telling them it was a wrong number, but they were persistent. Hope she got a new number/identity. Hope you're doing well Patricia, whomever/wherever you are. Lol

I get robo calls all of the time. T-mobile has a feature that labels the incoming calls "SCAM LIKELY". I always answer them right away and instantly press 1 to cut off the robo call and speak with someone. When the person answers, I ask them "What are you wearing?" Did it twice today already.

Must scroll back up and read the post by @fgarvin about those sites..

Our card was hacked for two charges last week......the first one for $10, probably for a tester, and the second one for $3K+

Was alerted and the large charge never made it on the card, but the tester did.....

Had a new card within 2 days......

@BigPappa I tried to remove those 3 tiny screws for the innards of the luxotic and my screwdriver(s) won’t work. The mod looks fine. I don’t see gobs of juice in the bottle compartment but I can’t look inside the box part until I find a screwdriver that works.

My T-Mobile does the same scam alert. That’s funny...lol
