I'm just about done, although I spent quite a bit more than I originally planned for mod upgrades. Still need to buy some more Nic. and maybe a few more flavors for mixing. Not worried so much about liquid bases, batteries, wires, and wicks.

I wanted some durable mods before the end times, and after a lot of research I decided on Dicodes. Provape's Provari line was also considered due to their reputation. Both mods cost about the same and in the end, a better warranty, less coil restrictions, and temperature control sold me on the Dicodes.

I would definitely snatch up a used Provari P3 if I could find a really good deal on one. I love good engineering, and really enjoy reading how long people have being using the same devices. They look snazzy too. Those BLEMs are just too close in price to another Dicodes for me though :)

Lousy pic, but here is the Dicodes Dani Extreme V2+ in 18350 mode

Good question! I would hate to see them close, but have not heard of them submitting any devices for approval.
    From Provape site:

“Most vape businesses like ProVape don’t have the means or wherewithal to put our products through this cost-prohibitive process and with no guarantee it would get approved.”

For now, Flagg said it will be business as usual and ProVari’s will be sold online and in select stores. He advises vapers and anyone who wants to be confident they’ll have a personal vaporizer that’s safe, reliable and guaranteed to last to buy a ProVari this spring or summer.

That pretty much sums it up, buy now!

I pulled my last two carto tanks (IBTanked) out of the vapocalypse box to show off on my nearly new Radii. I'd still use these as daily drivers if Ikenvape could still supply those magical Nitro fillerless cartos. Nothing else is worth my time and money.

I'm well stocked up for vapemageddon, but it occurs to me that the weak point in my stash is the electronics in my ProVaris. I know they seem like they'll last until Gabriel blows the Last Trumpet, but still . . . electronics can go wonky, especially with time.

If the ProVaris call it a life, then I'm down to mech mods. And the only mech mods I have are a couple of REOS, plus some replacement parts. I know they're bullet-proof, but I'm not fond of their form.

So, I'm looking for a bunch of good mech mods. Here's what I'd like:

    1. Totally mech with NO electronics. (This rules out that snazzy Aspire CF, for instance.)

    2. Tubular shape with fire button on side.

    3. Takes 18650 batteries.

    4. Happily takes Aspire Nautilus tanks.

    5. Uses some sort of replaceable fire button that I can maybe install myself. (I'm fairly handy, to the point of rebuilding Vision Vivi Nova heads, and probably Aspire Nautilus heads.)

    6. Isn't as expensive as a REO. I plan on buying a bunch of these, and my exchequer is a tad depleted at this point.)

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
One of my favs is the GLV, but does have some wires because fire button on top. But I got Nemesis, but fire button is on the bottom, not my fav but in a pinch.........:) edit GLV does have a resistor but no protection for shorts, I should use my halcyon shot stop with it. I used it for about a year without anything to protect from shorts and I really liked it, very comfortable in your hand for GLV super mini, then I got my Provari, so went to VV.

Since I have only ever used 510 attys to vape, I feel like I've missed out on a lot of vaping "history". I've been looking over older tech that might be of interest to me and made some purchases, eg. Provari 2.5, Kayfun Lite Plus V2, and some older RDAs, and so now I feel I have some historical pieces, so to speak. I am intrigued now by Carto Tanks. I love the way they look, but I'm unsure if they would suit me- but then, I've been unsure about all my purchases so far.

Would a 510 atty lover enjoy cartos? I'm thinking they might be good for the Provaris.

I'm also a long time 510 atty lover :) Carto's never thilled me, although I used them occasionally and they were ok and I have a stash (created a long time ago now;) ) Since they can be found very cheaply now go ahead and pick up one carto tank and one pack of slotted cartos and give them a try for yourself. That way your curiousity will be satisfied and if you like them you can get more and if you don't then you'll never wonder about them again :)

My amazon order showed today with a coil master kit I forgot I ordered (bought one locally) and a dozen 4 oz and 16 oz bottles. 2 of the 16 oz were broke. Of course no fragile stickers on outer box and usps puts it on my porch on it's side and I could hear the glass.

Will be shipping these back for credit and the spare coil master kit too I think considering how hot I ran my credit cards this week.

No idea about the fire button, this one is recessed, I believe but have a look. 9.99 and 4.00 off with coupon code getcarded:
    Tobeco Colonial Mod - Clearance
Tobeco SMPL Mod Replica Copper - Clearance

I have seen many other reasonably priced ones lately but can't remember where.

After doing some more reading, it seems cartos in a tank are a different experience than cartos alone, so I want to try with a tank. You know, I think carto tanks are much prettier than other tanks and clearos. IOW, I want to like them. :) Looks like they are not expensive but the better quality ones are not very common. I'll be digging around. If it turns out I'm not crazy about them, maybe I'll display them until I've run out of everything else, lol.

Scary part about this for me (since I am stocked up) is if the Vari's fail, can't send it in to be repaired like the old days. Fortunately, I haven't experienced any failures yet. My daughter dropped hers from high up onto cement and it bent the top cap but the thing kept on working.

I used to buy from Amazon with abandon. There was everything one could need all in one place. Because of bad packing, counterfeits, and paid for reviews, I often seek other alternatives now. I'm super picky about that I get from there anymore. The bottles I got from Packaging Options Direct were packed very well and made it intact. I recommend them. When I've ordered from them, their shipping has been half-price.

the top cap is press fit ... you can tap it back in with a piece of wood.

You might want to check the classies too, I think some were on there the higher end ones :)

Thanks I had that site bookmarked already but after I ordered from amazon. Now that I have orders placed I am not sure if I will need these 16 oz bottles. More likely I will need/want more 120ml bottles to break down the couple larger nic bottles I get to smaller sizes so I don't have to work out of 500ml bottles. It should also make it easier for vac sealing them and storing them in a box in my new chest freezer.

I should have added before that I did enjoy the cartos more in a tank then just a carto by itself :) Make sure you get the slotted cartos. I wanted my stash to be able to be used either in a tank or as an old fashioned carto so I didn't purchase the slotted ones. If I wanted to use one in a tank I took mine out to the workshop and used a hammer and nail ;) :)
