Retiring is for old people.

Ummm...not necessarily, IMO. :) It depends on when someone started their career, at what age (or after how many years of employment) they're eligible for retirement from that career, and how financially ready they are to retire.

I retired after teaching for 30 years, right before I turned 51. Florida's teacher retirement system provided a good income, and I also cashed out on more than a school year's worth of saved/unused sick leave days. Friends thought I'd be bored retiring at that age. I told them I doubted that, but I'd let them know if/when I ever was. Honestly...it hasn't happened yet. Then I took early SS at age 62 so I could use some of the money I'd earned...doing all the things I've wanted to while I still could. So far, it's worked out great, and I still don't feel like I'm a member of the "old people" group.

I think this is an admirable goal, glad to see you achieved it.

Yep...teacher’s retirement here too plus another one I put into. I always tell people when I retire I’ll get to do all the things I couldn’t do because I had to work. I’ve had a life plan for decades, with some hiccups along the way, but I stuck to it and it’s paying off. But I do want to work at Lowe’s part time. My favorite store. Weird I know but I’m not one to sit around doing nothing. I’m like my Dad. We like to stay busy. I’m also doing all this single so I have to plan accordingly for the future and my son’s future.

I gotta go finish this Christmas tree...too many decorations. Then I get to go do Mom’s.

I was following JCinFLA down the purple Pico Squeeze rabbit hole on Vapesourcing when I veered off to a device I've wanted for some time, the reuleaux dna 250 bronze beast. Super smooth power and a weekend of battery life for this low wattage vaper. At $68.20 after the Friday discount with free shipping I went for that dinosaur before it's extinct!

Now I have the long wait for Vapesourcing to come through, so here's a preview pic!

Just this and two more liters of nic, CNT from Liquid Barn, this BF weekend. The green Asmodus Colossal deal doesn't count as I ordered it on Thursday.:D

Looks like winner, you should have fun with this. I wanted a Drone 250c bf, and the prices are good, but I'm finding I like unregulated single battery mods for their size. Buying a multi-battery mod would be a waste for me, my duals and one triple aren't seeing any action now. I just boxed up the last one I had out, so I'm not going to get the Drone. Nice mod, I'll enjoy seeing everyone elses pictures instead, lol!

IMO, that's the best looking dinosaur I've seen! I'm happy for you...that you were able to find and buy 1 while you still could.

I'll turn 60 this year, have looked at retiring though I'm lucky to enjoy what I do.

I've always been a saver, married late, no children. Our house was paid off some years ago, and our lake camp will be this month.

Work is good to me. I started work from home July of last year, when I had knee surgery, ended up staying at home since I work weird hours (most of my work is collaborating with people in different time zones). I only stop in at the office once a week, and my boss ordered dual monitors and a docking station for my home, so I'm confident he's fine with it [emoji3]

If it weren't for enjoying who I work with, and that it's nice to have company medical insurance, I'd retire. As things stand, I'll stick with it as long as I have fun.

I was active on ECF in 2016, but didn't stock up then as I didn't get the sense that things were really going to crash down at that time. This time around I'm building up, enough equipment to be solid for years (and to be able to continue some PIFing for friends who haven't gotten ahead of the curve).

I've got multiple tanks, and a multiple year supply of prebuilt heads for them. My all day vape is a simple enough mix that I could talk anyone through mixing it. I have a more than sufficient number of rta and rda. Mods I'm more than comfortable with, particularly since I'm fine with mechs, my prebuilt heads/tanks are the right ohms to use with them, and I can prebuild spare contacts for the mech squonkers.

Nic I've got a solid base set of, might add a liter or two and a freezer next year, but could run for years before considering dropping nic level.

Initially when I saw that only purple and red were available for that price I was going to pass. They're not my first choice for color of a mod. Then I had a moment of "who gives a sh*t" and bought 'em. I've since taken a liking to my purple and red Squeeze 2's. Blitz, get a purple Luna. :w00t:

I think we must be clones. I retired at 51 after 30 years of writing software. They needed to lose some people and they offered a really good voluntary package. With that and sick time I had a year on full pay plus health.

I had savings and I could have stayed retired, but that was before ACA and I needed health cover so I got a job as a plumber for another 10 years until the company went under. I was 66 and started SS. Thought that was it but got bored and took a job as an engineer for another couple of years. That was cool, a decent paycheck plus SS. But it was hard physically and I bailed out last year.

Now I'm 69 and definitely done with work. Done with stocking up too. Except there were so many good deals this week. Couldn't resist another Colossal, and today I'm going to grab a couple more Solo's. Might have to pick up some nic too. The wife's consumption has gone way up over the last year for some reason and my calculations don't quite work now. There's room in the freezer for another couple of liters.

Speaking of the Pulse. Mine keeps asking me if it's a new atty after every few puffs. Anyone else have this problem?
Pop off the back panel - no sign of significant leaking?

    Retighten grub screws?

    Different rda work okay?

Pulse 80 and pulse X have both been rock solid for me, I bought the 80 at initial release. I do run current firmware on them.

Thanks for that!! I got 2x Eleaf Pico Squeeze 2 TC Squonk MOD 100W (only purple at that price, but I can deal with that for the huge discount lol) and I also grabbed 2x Venvii Baby Ness TC Box MOD 120W

Now I just need to find extra bottles for the Pico Squeeze 2, do any of you who have this squonker know where to pick up extra bottles?

EDIT: Crap! They had them there for 19 cents each Eleaf Pico Squeeze 2 Bottle , now I have to place a 2nd order and pay 10 bucks shipping. :( oh well... still a good deal so I grabbed 10 bottles, if I am lucky they might also work for something else I have.

EDIT 2: Changed it to 6 bottles before I checked out and shipping dropped to $6.71, so $7.85 total, which is not too bad. ;)
Sigh! I was going to pass on replacement bottles for the Pico since I only bought it for fun and because it was such a good deal. But this post convinced me to order 4, and with shipping it was a little under $7 total.

well...at least now I don’t have to think about it, lol.

Anything you can do cooking wise you can do with a knife, pots and pans.

I own a crockpot I am not the biggest fan. Everything in it winds up tasting like everything else.

No pressure cooker the one my parents owned as a kid terrified me. I'm not sure why.

IDK I am old skool when it comes to cooking. I do have a kitchen aid but this is because I was drooling over my mom's so she got me a surprise one for Christmas. LOL.

I also own every other implement known to mankind, thanks to marrying the husband. He came with a BREADMAKE a rice steamer, OH all sorts of things. For the longest time, I just innocently thought "Oh he was saving up for the right wife." Instead of "This guy must be able to cook."

To be fair I'm good a yardwork and plenty of OTHER stuff I did not disclose at the time. Heh

    Anna

Raised by 3 women collectively you can bet your rear END he learned to cook. He's a WAY better baker than me. Of course, that is a Very Low Bar.
