I walked into heartland vapes yesterday to buy nicotine.. Sadly they have started lay-offs. vape hate is impacting them

Okay, that decided me. I've been waffling over whether to buy one more liter, especially right now before Christmas. I could probably stretch what I have to last. But this sounds like Heartland sees the writing on the wall and may not be in business much longer. Maybe this is a going out of business sale? I don't know. But I just ordered that liter. Better safe than sorry.

I think it's ridiculous that anyone would use anything other than what's been recommended by the guy that knows about degradation more than anyone else.

@kross8 has been doing it for at least 2 years but maybe more. Says her nic in her mason jars in the freezer looks and tastes just fine. I have no other information on it, though.

But I do understand your point, completely. Which is why I'm still on the fence and will not buy any jars until I figure out what I want to do.

You have a GREAT point.

I don't think Heartlandvapes will go out of biz totally (but what do I know). There will still be a market for nic base.

They also started a CDB business, too. Hempnetix - CBD Products

Maybe we should all forget this nic vaping and just move to CBD. So far the govt seems to be not giving them nearly as much hassle as nicotine vaping industry. :D

I guess that's because they haven't found a way to classify it as "tobacco"...yet.

I'm not sure yet exactly how many bottles I need and what sizes I want just yet because I may be ordering more nic.

I don't want to put in on my CC, but I will have to and make payments. I just feel that I should buy more HV nic at the $10 off sale they are having until tomorrow. All in all, with what's on the UPS truck now, I will have 7.12 liters. But I feel I should have more for various reasons. One being you never know if something goes wrong and I lose a portion of your stash somehow.

I'm beginning to think it's not wise to say I need X amount for X years and just buy that. Extra is better in a case like this.

I'm also on the fence about the jars, but leaning that way. I'm OK with leaving the nic in the HV black HDPE bottles for a while until I figure out an action plan...and hopefully find a job soon.

But you're more than welcome to post some findings here so others can benefit, too.
This is one link that @Rossum pointed me to when I needed bottles recently. They aren't clear, their amber. I recieved 6 8oz. bottles with polycone caps, instead of 12 4oz. With prime, or 2 items, you get free shipping (over $25). I priced them at glass bottle outlet, shipping is around the same price as the bottles, so this is a good deal.

I think glass bottle outlet might be cheaper... I think I remember 4 ounce bottles being like 58 cents and cheaper by the dozen.

I got a case of 32 ouncers from them last month and just order 2 32 ounce Boston rounds yesterday and the shipping was reasonable.

They have clear too.

My orders shipped same day via fedex.

I get tempted to buy every MTL RTA on sale for $5, anyone else??

You guys almost got me with the $5 STM's. Then I checked how many I had and managed to resist. Quite proud of myself. I did click the link and look at them for a while though.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I use CBD every single night and so far it's done nothing for my nicotine cravings.

Right, but the resident canner here @Myrany says that if my friend's jars are not freezer jars, they are still OK for freezer use. So why do they make freezer jars?
Honestly I have no trouble with regular pressure canning jars in the freezer and I have never had a lid rust. the rings? yeah I have had those discolor but not rust.

The thing is they are glass designed to take abuse. Even so as with any glass you want to let them come to room temp before you open the jar. If you feel better getting the freezer specific ones go for it. I personally have never seen a difference.

8 oz amber bottles with polycone caps are $1.25 at HV, 4 for $5. I buy them at the same time as nic, push the total over $50 to get free shipping.

Each of my two orders this week was 2 liters and 8 bottles, just under $80 per order all-in.

Does anyone have an Innokin isub tank? Are these coils compatible with the Zenith?

YES - I still have a few of the iSub tanks & coils (haven't put them in classies yet  ). . . Also - Zenith Tanks & coils . . . Simple answer is - NO, the coils are definitely not inter-changeable with one and another . . . Just Sayin' . . . ;)

Freezer jars would be best for something that is going to expand when frozen. Nic does not freeze solid, so it's not a concern. The regular jars work just fine.

Clear with a narrow neck to minimize oxygen works for me. Also easy to pour out of when the time comes.
Clear or amber, doesn't matter much to me. With mixed eliquid it would, blue or amber, but with nicotine in a freezer, not really. Light is less if an issue, and I'll know if it's oxidized as soon as I decant to smaller bottles (I break down my 8 oz. to 4 x 2 oz., when I get a bottle out of the freezer, it's easier to work with 2 oz.) If I see a price difference in 8 oz. glass bottle colors, I'll choose the lesser price, equal quality one.

You’ll need (4 qty) 8 oz bottles per liter.

I think the cobalt blue bottles are pretty :hubba: but I use amber. I had several liters in my unconditioned basement for well over a year in their original packaging before I finally bottled and froze them and I’m vaping it right now and the nic is perfect. I bought the nic in 2013.

Right, I'm just not sure how I want to break it all down to start with. I was thinking of going 8oz the biggest, but I may want to go 16oz for a few. But that's only if I can find reasonable prices without having to buy full cases. At least not of every size I want/need. Plus I'll need smaller ones, too. Like 4 or 2 oz. I'm not rushing into buying bottles...or jars.
