I am guessing just color, but out of paranoia I grabbed some anyway... along with some screens. I got battery doors last month. The paint is flaking off my buttons right now, so it's not a total waste... I can have shiny new buttons.
I think getting the screens was wise, because if they are all that is securing the buttons and the screen gets destroyed, not having buttons would probably be an issue. And I got a few of the battery caps before because on the solo I am using, the threads seem funny and I was worried about them possibly getting stripped in the future. Now that I am saying all of this, I kinda wish I would have gotten a few more screens than I did... I ordered 3, but I have 6 solos and when I ordered them I was only worried about a cracked screen, I did not know it was the only thing retaining the buttons. I guess I will just have to try not to smash them to bits with a hammer.

My wife came home from work one day a couple years ago & this beautiful bird was in the back yard.

Please don't let us turn this into another of the crazy threads about disagreements and such.
I sincerely wish someone could explain the meaning of "optimistic". I've received it several times to posts which it seemed the only possible interpretation was that my post was either stupid or naive. Is that what it means?

Vapesourcing WANB Dominator left Shenzhen the 14th, Cigabuy WANB Armour Pro left HK the 15th. I wonder if they'll be a day apart on receipt [emoji3]

I've got 8 total packages in play right now, only the vaporl black Brunhilde MTL hasn't shown any activity other than getting aUSPS tracking #.

I hear at the screen covers on all Aegis mods are scratch magnets. SO that's another reason. Personally have have so many mods at this point I can't justify buying parts for mods. I would rather spend that money on tank parts and maybe even more nic.

As a low wattage vaper, my longevity stats for mods is pretty high since 2016 or so when manufacturers stopped using brass 510s and battery caps and implemented spring-loaded 510 pins. And when I stopped charging batts inside the mod.

Quit being so pessimistic! lol ;)

I suppose it could mean someone thinks your post was naive, but it could also me they are hoping for the best, it could mean they think you are hoping for the best and they are rooting for you. I suppose it could mean other things possibly as well.

EDIT: I have used it on posts to be funny as well. I can't think of an example offhand, but it would have been clear that it was a joke.

Depends on the post but I doubt anyone meant stupid or naive.

People seem to use it in various ways.

1. Sarcastically - telling you to be more optimistic and not so pessimistic
2. Agreeing with your optimistic post
3. Telling you they are optimistic in the outcome of a bad situation you posted about.

Best to just ignore it, though lol In the end, it doesn't really add anything of value to a forum anyway. But it does potentially stop people from posting replies just to say "I agree" or "I disagree" when they can just hit an icon instead.

I strive to be neither optimistic nor pessimistic. I'm sure I sometimes fail, being human as I am. Most of the available non-verbal tags seem pretty clear. "Optimistic" seems as clear as mud.

Update: “CROW”, a wildlife rescue group, as well as US Fish and Wildlife, recovered E14’s remains and no fish hook was found. E14 died from a broken blood feather on his left wing that basically led to him bleeding to death.

We need a single tear reaction for when things are sad. All that we really have for this is optimistic and there's no reason to be optimistic here. Bird's dead. :(

    Which leads me to...

I was gone from the forums from like 2016 to this past summer. When I first came back I started getting all these rainbow reactions and it was really pissing me off because I thought everyone was telling me I was naive in my optimism that they weren't just going to outright ban vaping this fall. (Hey look... they didn't). It was actually quite a while before they stopped making me angry, even though I never said anything about it in a post. After a while I realized that a lot of people were using it as an "I hope you're right" icon and now that seems to be most of what it's used for. That or they're hoping your situation, shipping problems for example, gets resolved.

That's how I take it anyways.

Right, but lots of people only see the world under a pessimistic vs optimistic lens. Realistic, to them, is pessimistic most of the time. And I suppose some of the time they may be right.

    between here and there
All is well. The adhesive remained ok then I assume.
Yes it did. I was careful to hold it upside down by its sides so as to not touch the adhesive at all. Then quickly laid it down on a clean piece of paper while I turned my attention to the buttons. Just turning the mod over and all the buttons just fall out.
    :)
