You're not alone. It's easy to do. version 2 comes out 2-4 months after version 1 so it's easy to not keep up. It gets old really fast...for me anyway.

That was my idea behind the Bargain Bin Treasures thread. Once hardware is on clearance it often goes for a small fraction of its original price. Then it's unavailable in a blink. I love catching bargains on great stuff that's passé.
Never a fashion slave, I still happily use 'stuff' that was cutting edge years ago. And in this league, a year or two is all it takes to make big savings if you can catch them on their way out.

Totally agree, NCC! I love the stuff that came out in 2015-2017. I just can't seem to get into the new RTAs. They all look like squatty little garden gnomes with a doughnut on top.

Just wanted to mention that if anyone is maybe interested in acquiring Provari 2.5 mods...there are (2) New Gold Zenkote ones elsewhere, for $65 each or both for $120 + shipping from zip code 91737. Both come with the extended 18650 end caps, too. They're not mine, and I have no "skin in the game" so to speak. Just thought someone or a couple someone's might be interested, especially since they're the gorgeous, yet tough, Gold Zenkote finish. You can PM for the website they're on.

FWIW, they seem nice. How effective is yet to be determined. Kinda cool looking though, LOL. They DO get very warm, which means heat drawn from the tank or not transmitted to it.

I own 5 of them and I can find exactly 0 of them. That's why I reordered 10. I think they work to keep the heat from transferring from the tank to the battery. That's my experience at least.

Well at least FT stuff seems to always come in zip lock baggies. So what's inside may be fine. It's just the wrapping you have to worry about.

Does she use silicone sleeves to help protect her picos? I have never had any of these problems with picos. Not even stripped battery caps like others say.

I've never purchased sleeves for my Picos, mostly because the silicone makes it harder to slip in and out of a jeans pocket. I agree that sleeves protect them and prevent damage from a drop. I thought I had a stripped (worn) battery cap recently. The threads had lost their chrome plating and the cap was hard to remove and replace once the brass showed through. Turns out that the threads have worn, but an occasional application of a tiny touch of clear silicone returns them to like new smoothness. There's still life in the mod with a little maintenance.

I have a stack of new Pico 75W mods that I've bought on sale over the years. Most are still in sealed boxes and I haven't needed to toss and replace. The Pico 75W's I use are still working fine in spite of occasional drops and heavy use. IMO, they are one of the better deals if you can find them for around $20 on sale.

The ones I got from central are clones and don't come with the rba. I seem to remember someone saying that they bought authentic ones and they came with rbas.

My bad, I assumed that koolkiz was referring to the central vapors clones. But reading again, that's not 100% clear. The authentics do come with RBAs, like you said.

If you want one with the RBA, try My Freedom Smokes, $20. It's the original kanger TTM, includes the 2 hole RBA Mini Plus . I got one in this week.

Alternately US suppliers have the RBA alone for $8, and fasttech has it for $6.

I bought a couple originals in 2016 and they all came with the RBA

I have 5 originals kanger subox tanks. Just thought I could pick up spares (for future usage) at central vapes. It's not worth buying there since it doesn't have a rba. However, it might be useful for spare parts

They came in small boxes with just enough room for the tank with a coil installed. I don’t have an authentic one to compare to but the one I’m using now seems fine. The threads seem smooth and the Clapton coils I bought elsewhere fit nicely. So far so good.

@hittman or anyone else who bought the TopTank clones at CV.

Did you buy one of the colored ones? If so, was the cage part inside the glass also painted or are they bare metal as pictured?

Wow. I would be experiencing the same sinking feeling I used to get when I opened the last pack in a carton.

Time to get a business license. Or plan a road trip to some country where you can fill a cooler in your trunk.

I was just wondering, if you are down to your last working 510 connection RTA 10-20 yrs from now, which one do you hope it is? For me a Kayfun, not particular which one, but hope I still have one in working order
