Just got in email from Heartland Vapes:

Happy Fat Tuesday!
$10.00 OFF Gallons & Liters
$5.00 OFF DIY KIT
$4.00 OFF DIY House NIC
02/25/2020 Only

As always, thanks JC! I had to grab another liter. I should be good at least until I'm 90 now!
I'm still not sure how they source such good nic, and are able to sell at that price since they don't have that much else to offer to make it up on...unless you want to buy $388 worth of chubby gorillas or something. (I wanted to add for free shipping, and their bottle collection is weird!)

But I'm glad they do. Now I can relax and pick up clearance items on the cheap for fun, just to pad the stash. I'm fairly set already, but there have been some good deals out there.

They also sell flavoring, 9 different brands, for very good prices. Only large, 4+oz, sizes, another easy way to get free shipping!

They sell 1 oz sizes as low as $3.50 depending on brand and flavor. It's under their "DIY" Category.

I'm glad you got some more during the sale. I told several local friends about it, too, and they also got more. I don't know how HV does it either, especially when you compare even their regular nic base price to the other vendors. Most of the other stuff they sell is at reasonable prices, too, so I agree...I don't know how they make up for all those $10 discounts on their nic base during sales. :)

I have 2 cupholders
If you want a laugh. When we were shopping for a new car last year we were trying to make a final decision between a Honda HRV and the Subaru Outback. We chose the Outback. Why? Because we couldn't stand where the cup holders were in the Honda. Absolute truth. Kudo's to the SUbaru dealer for not laughing at us when we tried out yeti cups in the cup holder to see if they fit. In our old pontiac not even a 16 oz soda bottle fit in the cup holder. :p

Oh, I believe it. When I was in college I had to do a paper on this exact thing - car buying habits of US car buyers vs. those on developing nations. As a whole, car buying decisions are more complex in the USA and other Western nations - they go way beyond the need for transportation - as opposed to developing nation consumers. This goes for just about everything, not just cars, though.

EDIT: I forgot to mention. One of the main features Americans looked for in a new car...number and placement of cup holders. Today, I suspect nothing has changed except now they probably look for cup holders that hold 64+ oz drinks and that there's a convenient place for the smartphone.

FYI folks I have been sick for the last week and a couple days into it the hubby also got sick. We are both well on the mend now.

It has unfortunately meant I spent way to much time watching youtube videos on heirloom and historical sewing. That + my weight loss has me plotting some new wardrobe items. I am a slightly eccentric person preferring late Victorian early Edwardian styles (brought up to date to some extent for comfort). I forsee an early 1900s walking skirt and lace/pintucked blouse in my near future.

Given all that I am glad I have my vape stocking basically done. Now I can focus the financial investment on clothes that actually fit (ok shoes too).

Well for us it is a bit more complex than most. MANY cars are eliminated almost instantly because the hubby is in a wheel chair. So 1st thing is can he get himself in and out of the car with minimal assistance. 2nd thing is how hard is it for me to load the chair. 3rd thing is do we still have enough room with the chair loaded for a major shopping trip or and actual vacation packing type situation. 4th I do the driving so am I comfortable driving the thing (hint I don't do REALLY big cars). Everything else becomes niceties after that.

Those 2 cars having met the requirements the best out of all we looked at it came down to cupholders. LOL

I will say now that we have had the car for a year. No regrets at all. The outback is a wonderful and reliable machine.

Yeah, I looked around like last time. I don't really do flavors, just NET. And I go thru VG so slow, I'm set for a long time. No sense stocking up on that. It is weird how they do bottles, though. Big gaps in their offerings for diy'ers. But theirs is seriously some of the best smelling and tasting nic I've had, so I'm happy!

I just ordered my third go-to unit--the Smok Mag225w and 4 boxes of coils to go with it. I'm not as hard core as some of you guys are. I just don't have the funds or the space. I'm set for a couple of years maybe. I'll order 4-5 more boxes of coils per month until the May deadline.

Is it impossible for you to use RTAs? That would be the way to go for somone in your situation. But I understand, it's not for everyone.

I have 35 boxes of Clapton

I bought 105 boxes when Ejuicesteals had them for under a $1 in Jan. Love my subtanks. Got 10 subtank mini kits for $5 each from another clearance sale. The Claptons are good coils. Except for peppermint they do really well with flavor.

Are you talking about the white ones from lightfire?

Yes. They only had white ones though.

I love peppermint too but at higher wattages it messes up the taste, at least to me. From me best at 27 to 30 watts using the OCC/SOCC coils. Vaping some tin box mint from Tasty vapor in a V-Jet tank at 60 watts and its really good for some reason. If you never tried his Tin Box mint you should before he closes 5-1. Its really good. I am sure you DIY but this one is worth a try and not bad price if you buy 0 nic and add your own nic. I have 10 120ml in glass bottles of it frozen as he suggests on his website blog to store it long term.

Well, all I vape is Heartlandvapes peppermint. I got off what I call "designer" juices long ago. Heartland peppermint is just FW peppermint, nothing fancy. Soon, I'll just be DIYing my own.

Plain old peppermint is a delicate eliquid. I already found out the hard way when I tried DIYing a little bottle of DIY peppermint. A little goes a long way and there is a fine line between not enough and too much. lol. Too much & it just tastes like after shave or shaving cream. And you're right, high wattages do kill it in a horrible way, yet too little and you can't taste much. And the wrong coil doesn't help either.

I think when I start DIY fulltime, I'll be looking into trying other flavors since I can make as little as I want and not have to buy a 10ml bottle (which is a lot if you hate it lol). Flavorings are cheap, relatively speaking.
