I could probably feed the whole neighborhood for a month from my house.

Me too!

I keep somewhere around the same, also plenty of flavorings, nic & VG/PG.:)

Nothing wrong with 'too much' of one's favorite homebrew e-juice, IMO.

FYI. Status of FT order, placed 1/26/2020, now has changed to "shipped". The second order, placed 1/24/2020, still shows "Order Received".
Order originally placed on 1/26/2020 has now processed through CHICAGO ISC on 2/25/2020. Other order showing ready to ship except for one item that now shows "ships in 7 days".

Did we ever decide if there was a RBA that works with the NRG SE tank? I can't find it in my notes.

I've been looking for around two years & have yet to find one.:(

The only clues I've ran across & didn't bother trying was reading someone had cut a glass made for a SMOK tank. If it worked, many would had posted it somewhere by now.

The only Vaporesso I have that's an RBA & still sealed after over two years on promo for $20 shipped is their GEMINI RBA. Presume it to have been released before the NRG series being the cost was much lower. Have so many RBA's in use now, along with NRG tanks, don't need another at this time. Reason I purchased the GEMINI was because some reviewers promoted it as superior over the Griffin 25 of which I also have.....need to check & make sure it's not rusted, been a couple of years since last used.:D

Looks like Vaporesso doesn't want any more to do with RBA's.....making a killing selling coils!:)

The RBA is too wide so the outside base of it's deck hits the little ledge right above the SE's threads so the RBA can't thread into the tank's base. That's the best way I can explain it. It fits inside the tank fine, but it won't thread into the tank's base. I'ts about 0.5mm off from actually catching the threads.

There also wouldn't be enough room for e-juice with an RBA, unless tiny like the SMOK TFV8 BBB.:)

Have never been able to get consistent results with small RBA's, either leaks or too tight, beginning with the Kangertech ProTank & with the TVB8 BBB mentioned above. May be just me, too hard to build on a micro deck. :D

Ended up using Vaporesso NRG GT coils on the TFV8 BBB, using the stock glass which works with their coils. As for the ProTank, can easily rebuild the 0.5 ohm coil included, making a horizontal coil rather than vertical (these used to be sold by Sweet Vapes, no longer in business). Wire & cotton is a lot lower in cost versus 5 pack coil replacements.

BTW, there's no RBA for the Cascade either that I know of. While typing this post, am alternating between the SE & Cascade, both are nice tanks. Don't care for their 0.15 ohm Mesh (Clapton) coil, can rinse & reuse a couple times & after saving O-rings, hits the trash. Flavor is not close to that of the GT Ceramic coils (taste being subjective).;)

That's why I didn't even try to figure out of there is a mod I can do to make the RBA fit the SE. Very little room for juice as it is.

But I did get the RBA to work in the Ello tank and it works great if you're willing to do a little mod (see my post previous page if you have an ello).

Somewhere out there
I just ordered my third go-to unit--the Smok Mag225w and 4 boxes of coils to go with it. I'm not as hard core as some of you guys are. I just don't have the funds or the space. I'm set for a couple of years maybe. I'll order 4-5 more boxes of coils per month until the May deadline.
Pick up the RBA for that tank and some pre wrapped coils to play with rebuilding and you can vape for a very long time :)

Well, all I vape is Heartlandvapes peppermint. I got off what I call "designer" juices long ago. Heartland peppermint is just FW peppermint, nothing fancy. Soon, I'll just be DIYing my own.

Plain old peppermint is a delicate eliquid. I already found out the hard way when I tried DIYing a little bottle of DIY peppermint. A little goes a long way and there is a fine line between not enough and too much. lol. Too much & it just tastes like after shave or shaving cream. And you're right, high wattages do kill it in a horrible way, yet too little and you can't taste much. And the wrong coil doesn't help either.

Peppermint has been all I have been vaping going on 4 years. I have been buying Tasty Vapor's peppermint. I only cost me $19 120ml of 0 nic because of his rewards program. Before I knew what our out of control government was going to do I just had 3 devices, a few Kanger subtanks and some coils and some nic. So did not spend much on vaping really. FW peppermint is pretty good. TFA's tastes more like strong natural peppermint vs FW is more toned down candy type of taste. Capellas is not bad either. A cross between candy peppermint and natural peppermint. So it depends on what you want. Since you are buying peppermint from HL and its FW then all you need to do if figure out the % flavor which should not be too hard. I still use ScubabatDan's spreadsheet from 2010. I have found mixes with more VG to need higher % flavor. To speed steeping for testing different mixes just heat a cup of water in the microwave and put your bottle in and let it cool. Start with 5% flavor and work up. My guess is 15% to 25% will be what is based on how FW peppermint candy flavor tastes unmixed and if you are doing 70% VG.

I am really loving TFA's candy water melon lately. Its bit better than FW and works well with those Clapton coils and my dual coil RTA. I have already vaped a ton of it.

I bought many of FW flavors that I thought I would like to test and develop new recipes. I store all my flavorings in amber glass bottles so they stay as fresh as possible and this is what TFA recommends. According to TFA opening the bottle allows small flavor molecules to escape which will weaken flavor over time and of course glass does not allow air in. This will be important as sites go out of business they will likely be discounting even their flavorings for those that want to stock up on flavorings and save some money.

I am sure you already are aware: "e-liquid-recipes dot com"

I used 2.25% and it smelled and tasted like aftershave. That was after weeks of steeping and shaking the bottle daily. My next try will be maybe 0.5%, maybe even 0.25%. No joke. I suspect even 1% will be too high.

I ended up mixing my 2.25% with a bunch of ready-mixed heartland peppermint and it was fine, no waste. But I learned my lesson with peppermint.

BTW: I said FW, but it's actually TFA. My bad. Regardless, I have a feeling 5% is too much for any peppermint flavoring if making straight peppermint liquid, but that's just a hunch. I don't really know.

That makes sense TFA's is a really strong flavor and to me has a funny taste to it. I have some natural peppermint oil it is close in taste to that without the funny taste. Back in 2010 I used that peppermint oil as a flavor with some ethyl alcohol to make it mix with PG but that was before we know about oils and vaping and was using pen style setup at 4 v and dripping. I would not use it today for vaping.

To make your life easy get some FW peppermint candy flavor. It is not nearly as strong so should allow you to get your feet wet in DIY and have a replacement in short order. I made a bottle at 20% flavoring with FW 70% VG and some sweetner and it was a good vape. I do like stronger flavors in my mixes just FYI. I have not mixed with TFA's but prefer FW taste as it more closely matches what I am used to. With TFA's I would try 1% to 5%. When I get new flavors I taste a little on my finger to see how strong it is etc keeping in mind it is a concentrated flavor and will taste a bit different when diluted in a mix.

One of my ADVs is TFA peppermint (5%) and TFA koolada (2%). Started out as mostly a palate cleanser, but I've come to like it so much that I vape it as much as anything.

I bought 105 boxes when Ejuicesteals had them for under a $1 in Jan. Love my subtanks. Got 10 subtank mini kits for $5 each from another clearance sale. The Claptons are good coils. Except for peppermint they do really well with flavor.

Awesome glad to hear that you like them. I just ordered 50 boxes for my Dad with the store credit I had from the Innokin Axiom tanks that didn't actually come with an RBA. Unfortunately they won't ship to RI so I had to have them shipped to me in CO and then do a relay with them to RI. Will still be worth it for sure, that's a really good deal on coils. I'll feel a lot better once Dad is sitting on 50 boxes of coils.

I wrote to Hearland about nic availability after May. I cannot say what's below will turn out to be true but I'm sure it's what Heartland believes today. Regardless of their apparent optimism I have zero regrets about my stockpile.

    To: Heartland
Comment: I have heard Heartland may have submitted PMTA's. If you can say, does that include 100mg nic for mixing? Will I be able to buy that product from you after May.

Hello there! I have spoken to my bosses (the owners) and we are not sure at this point if we will be doing PMTA's, but nicotine is for further manufacturing so would not need PMTA

Thanks for responding. I want to be sure about your answer. Does Heartand expect to be shipping nic for mixing to end users like me after May? Thanks for your attention.

    From Heartland 2/26/2020 3:34pm
We fully expect to be shipping nicotine for mixing end users like you after May J

I've focused my drop-in coil stock on four styles -

Old school MTL - Vision Nova and Kanger T2
Newer school MTL - Aspire BVC compatible
Restricted DL - Kanger Subtank compatible
    Subohm DL - TFV8 compatible

I'm and old school MTL vaper who dabbles in DL subohm vaping. I had the old school MTL and restricted DL options covered for 8/8/16, then the great deals showed up and I was able to stock up all four styles for very little. Combined with RBA's for the last three styles, I'm set.

I'm thankful we had these last couple years to continue vaping new options and finding additional sweet spots. We have so many more toys, many that didn't exist in 2016!

Even so, hands and eyes willing, I may still be dipping into the bucket of used Nova heads and rebuilding them in a decade or two.:D
