Somewhere out there
I was reading the tobacco regulatory agency TTB site and they say there is no law against Internet sales or importing for personal use, but they say to let customs and your state know you are importing for personal use so you can pay taxes due. For commercial distribution you need to register with them.

It's hard not to order for the sake of overkill. I keep going through my gear and asking myself, "Is 3 of each of my favorite rba's enough? How many years will it take to wear out 13 Stainless Steel Atomizers? Can I get the right o-rings and screws at the hardware store? What have I not thought of?"

It goes on and on. Now, I have to go and buy a tiny freezer to keep 2 liters of 100mg nic base. I'd never hear the end of it if one leaked in our 21 cubic foot food freezer!

Anyone know of a small, low cost freezer that would work for a couple of liters of nic? When I search, everything is $150 and over. Seems like a lot to pay for keeping a couple of liters of nic cold.

I gave away a 12 CF chest freezer a year ago when we bought a new 21CF upright. Shucks! I could have just moved it to my basement workshop.
I followed MikePetro's link posted a while back and picked up a small Danby medical freezer for $89 shipped from the scratch and dent section. It looks like new except for a small dent in the back on one side near the bottom but works fine. It locks too if you have kids/grandkids and want the nic stored safely.

My thing I was having a hard time understanding is when vaping is deemed a tobacco product does that "automatically" make all rules that apply to cigarettes apply to vaping products. Still can't say I'm totally sure on anything at this point. Just frustrated like we all are. I'm stocked up, but would be nice to have a clear understanding exactly what to expect.
As I understand it, what already applies to cigarettes is nothing compared to what's been applied to vaping- they are definitely (IMO) not in the same ballpark.

Our local radio talk show host, who is also a vaper has not mentioned one word of any of this. He is very outspoken and to the point and opinionated about most things but nothing about deeming regs. Makes you wonder ha. Are your local media talking heads saying anything ? Just thinking out loud. Is the media supposed to be hush hush on all this or something.
I'm glad someone mentioned this.
Prior to the deeming, couldn't stop hearing one news story after another about how bad/dangerous ecigs are. Since the deeming, from those same news outlets......CRICKETS!

I read this thread every day and have been behaving myself until today LOL ( I cant harass
bnrkwest if I am buying too after all). My one and only Pico is held up at US customs and today I freaked out and placed an order for another one from inside the US. I'd rather end up with two than take the risk of not having none. I know I am over reacting, but I don't care.
The other day I sewed my finger to the deck screw of a white Kayfun that I built specifically for the new white Pico. That kind of sacrifice means that I deserve to have one ! That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
How in the hell did you manage to do that???

**disclaimer** No one was harmed in the building of this Kayfun

Well with all the confusion over what 8-8 actually means to all these other agencies, I am done overseas. If I find something state side I want, will get it but yuck, all this import confusion drives me bonkers! LOL
W
I know the feeling.

With several Canadians reporting ejuice being seized and destroyed. Its getting crazy out there.

Me too! This is crazy! I don't think I'll order from foreign vendors anymore. I hope the FDA will provide additional info on this so the people who do continue ordering from other countries will know how to contact customs or other appropriate agencies and what this tax or fee might be. Whatever happened to "the land of the free and the home of the brave" and the concepts of personal freedom and responsibility? Things sure have changed!

There's probably a corporate policy at those media outlets not to offend current or possible future advertisers who might profit by the decimation of an industry.

Here's a thought. Anyone who is worried about importation of ecigs directly after 8/8, why don't you ask these US online vendors who are complying with regulations to stay open. Being that they get their livelihood from China and are already putting in age verification, alternative payment options(bitcoin), and the like to ensure that they stay open. One would think they would have information that we don't and aren't just going by "someone said".

The white pico was on sale at FT. I ordered my Brushed Silver and Blackout from GB and got those already. My FT order crossing the ocean has a white pico in the order. I went over the $100 threshold not knowing better so I am crossing my fingers I get my pico, nemesis's and parts.

Just wish I could find an RBA for my PT2 as I do like them, i just really was never happy with my rebuilds of their coils.

If you're looking for a good, very easy to build RTA, check out the Kanger STM.

I used the PT2's (and rebuilt the coils) exclusively almost since I started vaping. I did so because the coils were easy to rebuild and it was so easy to just swap them out when needed.

I only tried the STM because of the FDA bull.... and am so glad I did. You can make your own coils or use premade from Fasttech. I use item #2210200 (1.8ohm nichrome) but they have many, many more choices.
Installing the coils and wicking (I use rayon) is a snap. The airflow can be adjusted down for us tootle puffers or, wide open for direct lung hits. And, it vapes GREAT!!!

Is that the same tank as on the subox mini? Sorry, I don't know what STM is otherwise.

Yeah, I have a bunch of zaps, artic turbos, subox mini, protank, rdas and heck if I remember the others that can be rebuilt. Oh, the Melo is one, I don't like it or the artic turbo; for that matter none of the rebuildables taste as good to me. That is why I am worrying over the nauti coils. I just read on another thread that you could probably rebuild the nauti with these:
    $2.83 Pre-Coiled Welded Wires w/ Wicks - NR-R-NR (50-Pack) 50-pack - 33 AWG / 1.8ohm / 4-wick at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

You can find Kayfun clones these days for $9.95 each. The 3.1 and lite plus V2 are two of the top choices. The Kayfun 5 is out and I'll get one of those once they start to appear in the U.S. as clones. The K5 is an evolution of the K4 with what looks like fewer parts and more sophisticated design.

Once you try Kayfun you will find out just how easy it is to use and maintain. It's solid and heavy, but a snap to take apart and recoil. It's a low airflow design that resembles the draw on a cigarette. That's probably why it's so popular.

So many RBA's are free flow airflow these days for high watt vapers. I'm more of a MTL vaper, so Kayfun is just right.

govt needs to do something about these wild gangs of squirrels,,,,i got hit a few days ago and they took all my nic and mods.. i still have 'trusty blu' (heck NO)

Strange ... all they care about at my house is the bird feeder. Much as I hate to I have to thin the herd once in a while so the birds can eat.

Actually, I bought one of the original Kayfuns when first available, think it was 150.00. I didn't like it and sold it.

That said, I did buy a clone yesterday but won't have any spare parts unless I decide to risk another order.

I've never ordered from China, although the prices look good. What concerns me is that the distributors who stock vape shops that we order from online also get their products from China. The FDA and Customs are going to dry up the products that we are used to ordering from stateside vendors.

Buy it all up while you can. That's what I've been doing.

STM = kangertech's subtank mini. Vaping one right now.
I use Toptanks, but just say STM basically the same thing except top filling. Figured it would be more understood than saying TTM. :)

Thanks....do either of you use the coils that came with the STM? Mine are awful, they pop, spit liquid, have little vapor or taste. I haven't tried using different wicks yet.
