The numbers are what they are. If the US gets its act together and actually does a lot of tests, great, then US numbers will change, hopefully go down in terms of mortality rate, but for now all we have are the handful of public numbers for multiple countries.
I have wondered why they make such a huge thing of other countries numbers? Its not like we or our country can do anything to effect it besides travel bans. I know we feel horrible that those people are infected but we are helpless and all the info really does is scare the bejesus out of our citizens. Why do they shove that in our faces? Personally this whole thing has a 'something of a feeling that it is being manipulated' to steer people to be more than willing to do anything they are told to. What really bothers me is that our citizens could become used to the gov taking 'care' of them and not be so willing for them to stop. Can not get us to vote for socialism so lets make em.
Sry for going so far off topic. I will stop now.

People tend to react wrong,,, notice everyone is screaming get me a test!-- ok,,, now that you have your test what is your next step. - what if its a flawed test? Gives you a false negative,,, so you trust it &go play kissy face with your grandkids?

Fwiw,, i got test prices based on social media comments.

Anyway,,, we live in interesting times.. people are cranky.

Sorry about posting off topic,,, told myself to refrain from that :)

I work under the assumption that I & everyone has a positive test result..

Absolutely - Very Smart Move . . .

Many of "Us" (not everyone - IMHO - "STUPID PEOPLE") did exactly the same when "HIV" crisis hit . . . That time period - THANKFULLY - prepared "Me" for these types of situations . . . Just Sayin' . . .

Agree. This is WHY medical professionals wear masks while treating covid virus. Here is an interesting article that pretty much says masks help. Common sense tells you that a barrier between two of your holes in your head provides a barrier to the droplets of sick people.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/heal...loosen-coronavirus-guidance/#comments-wrapper

Other countries expect you to wear a mask. You could be an asymptomatic carrier and not even know you have the virus. Masks help to contain the virus.

Why Face Masks Are Encouraged in Asia, but Shunned in the U.S.
South Korea has an effective method of battling this virus. Interesting reads available. Here’s one:

Is S Korea's rapid testing the key to coronavirus?

And I’m not sure I believe anything these people say in the USA...CDC included. They seem kinda loosey goosey about their facts and recommendations, during an election to boot.

I am giving my parents most of the masks I bought and I will be wearing my masks when I go to check on them as they are in the high risk group of people over 80. I’m glad I have them.

I have made sure we are ready. I have stocked for us and my parents and will continue to stock as long as my Mom keeps giving me a list.
Agreed, my mom was telling me she was making her own mask out of cotton and lining it with plastic, I said no! You won't be able to breath LOL We had a good laugh over that. Masks help keep the virus out with those filters, it seems no one wants say that because there is a shortage. I was an xray tech years ago and when we went into quarantine areas to x-ray we all washed our hands well, gloved and masks and gowns are required. then throw everything out at exit area and wash hands again and disinfect. If you do not have a mask, just wash your face really well after being in the public and rinse mouth out and wipe nostrils clean, baking soda and salt in water should help. I don't have my masks yet but they did ship, I went to find them again and they are out of stock, so were the filters. I have to go to get groceries tomorrow and I am taking a bamboo fabric scarf (bamboo naturally has antibiotic properties, no clue about Covid-19 repellent, so not saying it does) with me in case some one coughs or sneezes on me, I can at least cover my face and scrub up when when home. Then hang scarf in sun to disinfect for awhile. Covid-19 hates the sun.

I thought silver was for werewolves? Please correct me if i am wrong because this is important!!

It depends on which movie you watch. But yes, silver is usually for killing werewolves.

Personally, I only get my vampire combat info from Hammer Studios. I find them to be the most accurate.

Ok found this- "Silver bullets will kill a vampire as well as any other silver object such as a silver dagger or silver stake. Silver is known for its pure qualities and is used to keep away evil spirits, werewolves and other evil beings for centuries."

My local pizza shop has just got done preparing for the virus. They made the purchase of TP a fair practice by the use of a claw machine, and the delivery drivers are taking special precautions as well.

To keep on topic, I mixed up some apple pie and caramel, this is my fav DIY, I go thru it so fast, I need to mix up a bigger batch LOL!
Ooh, I'm really looking forward to my heartland order, which has the Apple pie flavoring [emoji3] I've got flavor revolution caramel, creme brulee, and cinnamon swirl pastry as possibles for the secondary flavor, was planning to try the CSP first.
