My local grocery store was restocking toilet paper. :) They were restocking everything.

No TP here at all. Our grocery store said they were getting a truck with TP yesterday and we went to the store four times hoping to find some. We were at the store at 8 a.m. today and they said the truck never came. We went to Home Depot, Lowes and office supply stores. On the front of the big office supply was a huge sign saying we don't have any TP. We've got enough TP for about two weeks, so I think we will be fine, but I am determined to find some! My husband has to spend most of next week working in another city, so I am thinking he can find some there.

Yes, but if I and others test negative we can return to work and resume normal activities. Right now I am searching for delivery services because I'm running out of food....for my pet as well. Luckily, my pharmacy delivers.
Check and see if Shipt or Instacart are in your area. Winn Dixie and several local groceries are using them for deliveries.

I believe I am going to be instructed to work from home the next two weeks (waiting on my category that will determine details). I am so glad I stocked. President Trump just said that all suppliers and grocery stores will remain open and for us not to worry about food and necessities. They will restock I’m sure. And after most people fill their pantries during this initial rush, the demand for products will decrease and I’m sure toilet paper and other needs will be supplied. Just be safe out there! Hopefully you will find some soon so you don’t have to go out there and get exposed.

I also stocked my elderly parents and brought them some items today. I told them that is probably the last they’ll see of me for a while unless they absolutely need something else. We just all need to hunker down at home.

Absolutely. Most grocery stores receive trucks at least 3x/week. There wouldn't be a shortage now if everyone hadn't panicked. Feds, states, all recognize that stores need to be open, and they will be. Grocery stocks will normalize pretty quickly. Unlike maybe other sectors of the market.

I am so glad you are telling me this! I watched the President's talk about this, but I was busy cooking so I didn't pay close attention. I am very glad to hear that the stores will stay open! My town seems to be hit extra hard by the hoarders! We had a terrible time finding canned tomatoes! On Friday, there were no canned veggies with the exception of one can of green beans! There was plenty of fresh produce, so we will be fine. There was no chicken at the store at all on Friday except for one package of chicken wings. We weren't able to find chicken until late yesterday. I went to the store to find a 5 lb. brisket, but all they had was a 10 lb. brisket. No problem -- we just cut it in half and froze what we didn't need now. This is just a crazy time we are living in.

The big box stores round here have run out but my local Safeway never ran out. The only thing they seem to be out of is dried beans, I guess they are normally low turnover items so they only had a few on the shelves. And I really wanted some 15 bean mix to make soup. You can even get hand sanitizer here. A lot of places limit it to a couple of bottles per customer and keep it behind the cashier station. Guess that jerk from Tennessee never made it this far north.

I always get those giant packs of paper towels from Lowes so I won't run out for vaping needs. There's a limit how many tanks you can wipe off on your tee shirt before it starts getting gross. Luckily I got a pack just before the trouble started.

    Somewhere between here and there
I never realized how much vaping hardware I have. I’ve slowly been going through making a list and putting items into ziplock bags and numbering them. I bought two large storage bins with lids thinking that they would fit everything. I’m pretty sure that’s not going to be the case. I’ve been buying a fair amount of stuff the past several months and have 4-5 more orders coming. In all fairness, some of it is old stuff that willl be the last stuff to use and will stay in storage long term. My hope was to get everything out of cardboard boxes and into the bins. Either I’m going to have to buy more bins or keep some boxes.

Yeah I’ve always been a bulk buyer cause I don’t like going to the store all the time. My local store’s shelves were slim pickings in some areas and they had no bread but they had all hands on deck restocking. I want to limit my exposure now that I’m stocked.
