Thanks for the tip. I suppose that you get one chance to get the tape right, with no wrinkles. I'd be afraid that if you try to remove the tape, the markings would come off with it. There's always Sharpies, but they probably don't last long on glass either. Will try to be more careful when cleaning. I guess paper towels are pretty abrasive. Maybe a glassware chamois for the vapocolypse. and a spare, and a spare for the spare.:w00t:

I have a note from who knows where saying that BD brand syringes have markings that don't wear off. Don't know if it's true.

I get cylinders with embossed markings that don't have any color. A bit harder to read but the markings will always be there.

Its true but they costs a bit more. Still well worth it in my book.

A long time ago I got a set of 8 cylinders of varying sizes for about $15 on Amazon with the raised markings. I consider it money well spent for how long they have been in service.

The 50 pack of 15ml graduated beakers I got from us plastics years ago had the raised markings. 5/10/15 ml markings on one side of a vertical line, then US fractional oz markings on the other side that are pretty close to the midpoints between the metric.

I still have a LOT of them unused - basically indestructible.

Well we got four more months folks, time to start looking at your stash and see what's missing. I ordered 20 more boxes of TFV12 coils this week, may just order more. Love this stupid leaky thing.

That's good news! I've found myself getting super lazy lately. My favorite devices are the z-biip and minifit. I still have one Solo running with a True, but only use it in the house. So I may try to pick up another biip. I think I'm set for minifits. They seem to last a VERY long time.

Edited to add: Just picked up two more biips, $11.40 with free ship for both, as I had reward points. Can't beat that!

Well shoot I could have waited to put in my last Fastech order (actually 2 because I forgot some stuff on the 1st one).

And it was strange placing both orders. After completing the Paypal payment I was not returned to an order confirmation page. Instead after I pushed the last 'button' on Paypal to confirm payment, it took me back to the Fastech page showing my order page just like it was ready for me to place the order all over again. At first thought something glitched with Paypal and was about to submit the order again ... then thought, would that place the order twice.

So I looked at my email inbox and I had 1 email from Fastech confirming the order and 1 email from Paypal confirming the payment.

Went back to Fastech in another tab and checked my order status, it showed the order was placed. Looked at my cart and all the items I just 'purchased' were still in the cart. And the original tab had the page looking like my next step was to pay/process the order.

Something didn't go right returning from the Paypal screens, I should have seen an order confirmation page, and my cart should have been emptied.

I opened a ticket w/ Fastech this morning asking about it and to confirm the orders to get placed correctly despite the goof up returning to Fastech from Paypal.

If you ever need any larger ones, let me know. I have a quantity of 25mL, 50mL, 100mL, and 250mL. Even have 10 each of 500mL and 2000mL. I bought them and graduated cylinders, test tubes and racks for them, etc... mainly to donate to the 2 schools I used to teach at, for science activities. But I kept some once I started to DIY and to help others with it, too.

Would the little stirrers work in the beakers?

Sharpie will wash off glass. (I use them to mark grind spots for stained glass.) You can get a glass paint pen from craft stores that will be permanent after either baking or a period of air drying (depending on what type you get). You can safely bake the graduated cylinders at the temperature needed. Just turn the oven off when the time is up, leave the glassware in the oven til it cools down. Easy peasy.

If you're talking about the little NorPro battery operated mixer, for the 25mL and 50mL...it sort of depends on which attachment you're using. Also, you need a beaker that's large enough to contain the eliquid quantity you're mixing...to allow for the sort of "frothing" it does while using the stirrer. I hope that makes sense. :)

Seems evidence that nicotine is protective against the virus is increasing. While the science plods along the word will spread so nic patches might disappear from store shelves as fast as N95 masks. Ramping up production of patches might be as difficult as with masks. That should not be a limitation with eliquid, another way to get nicotine. Try to picture Dr. Fouchi and SG Adams advising people they need to get their nicotine and now ALL the kids are puffing away.

Fingers crossed that the French study confirms this!

I've been thinking about how some of us know someone who's gotten sick or even died from this virus, yet I'm not seeing many here who personally has gotten sick so far. The state of New York would then be well served by providing free vapes, at least to people 55 and up. Hope they're tasty flavors!

Well, our good doctor K. Farsalinos was the first one to notice that. Good for him!
I want to see Drs. Fauci and Birx vaping during their daily briefings. :rickroll:

The public won't wait months or longer to find out what happens in some French experiments. Assuming nicotine is the protective feature may be patches will be effective. May be vaping will turn out to be more effective for dosing. In the mean time restricting access to non combustible alternatives to smoking should be hard to defend during the covid outbreak.
