My bad for letting it the thread go dormant. One of these days, I'll take some new pictures and ask Classy to re-open it.

Most of my samples are PG, but I do have a few that are VG. I've seen no noticeable difference in the freezer samples, but my impression from the room temperature ones (which of course age many times faster) is that PG might actually be better. I know this is contrary to Kurt's opinion, so take it with a grain of salt.

When I first started stockpiling nic (only a few weeks after I started vaping, 'cause darn sure wasn't going to let anyone take this miracle away from me, ever!), I bought nic in PG. Later, after reading Kurt's older threads, I switched to VG. So about half my stash is PG and the other half is VG. I'm confident both will last indefinitely in the freezer.

I have no nic in a PG/VG blend, but I wouldn't expect it to be substantially different either.

I just re-opened it and made it a sticky

Even if the FDA doesn't seek any kind of regulations regarding nic base...isn't that bill still pending in Congress, to tax the beegeebees out of nic base, to the tune of approx. $2,580/Liter for the 100mg/mL?
IIRC, it was $2780. ;)

I haven't heard of those bills making much progress, but then hardly anything has that isn't related to virus panic.

Thanks! That's what I suspected, but I wanted to know your opinion. Much appreciated.

Also, Kurt might have been just a bit biased since he was (is?) a 100% VG vaper. :) He had no use for PG so maybe he didn't pay as much attention to it. I like high (60/70% PG) eliquids.

Mooch believes LGs and Samsung batts are going to be harder to find due to them now starting to print on their batteries "not for vaping". This means vape shops may stop selling them.

In fact, most of the battery stores I bookmarked from Mooch's list don't even sell LG anymore and had LG battery clearance sales a few months ago.

Molicel is the last holdout for vapers, but it's my opinion they will be forced by their legal team to shun vapers at some point.

You scared the living daylights out of me, so I Googled my beloved chocolate LGs:

LG HG2 3000mAh 20A 18650 Battery - lgdbhg21865 - High Capacity and Power

LG HG2 Battery | INR 18650 – 20A High Discharge

18650 LG INR18650HG2 3000mAh High Discharge Flat Top (backordered)

and Samsung, ditto:

Samsung 18650 Batteries - IMR Rechargeable Lithium Ion - 18650 Battery Store

Plenty of LGs and Samsungs (which is what I use)... Whew!

BTW: In case anyone is interested. I recently decided o stop using my older 18650s which were 3+ years old when I found a stash of 4 Samsung 25R batts (2 blues and 2 green). The blue ones are over 4 years old and the greens are about 2 years old or so.

They were all stored the way I got them, between 3.5 and 3.6v.

All for seem to perform (and last as long) as as they should at my low vaping style, just like brand new. At least in a regulated mod.

I didn't check their internal resistance as I have no means to do so. I also wouldn't have an IR value (from when they were first purchased) to compare the current IR to even if I knew how to check IR lol

I didn't store them in any special environment. They were just in a box in a 2nd floor room that never gets air conditioned (room can get over 90F).

Curious to see Illumn get more LG chocolates in or if they are keeping the listing up for Google traffic.

Sorry didn't mean to scare you, but then again, in a way, this thread is kinda for that purpose

Washington will be looking for money anywhere it can find it when those clowns get back together. That was the real reason for the start of the civil war.
Agree.. Letters to your politicians are good but a well written tweet(S) garner larger numbers of support on Twitter. You have to approach the vape issue from many angles.. Especially when you can include more people in the reply..(&the more followers that person has the more the conversation grows)

As an example not a political remark.. There is a large group of young people who don't want Trump elected.. So they spread the word on Twitter to buy up as many tickets to Trump Tulsa rally.. It worked they bought up about half the venue. People underestimate the collective power of any small group.

I am starting to come to the same conclusion; that unused batteries don't lose much capacity in storage. However, I am still gathering data, including storage at different temperatures. One of these days, I'll start a thread on the subject.

#4). I think we are not going to have to worry too much about the FDA & vape issue... The COVD19 issue is causing everyone to question their financial motives & they need to concentrate their shrinking cred on getting some cures for anything fast tracked or else be replaced by an entirely dif new governing agency.

For a while, anyway. When the Covid thing gets covered by vaccinations in the next year and the imminent crisis starts to fade they will start looking for productivity where it lies and vaping is probably high on the to-do list again at that point.

The public health mafia and tobacco control zombies have been trying to stamp out vaping since it first appeared. The controlling influence is protecting tobacco taxes which funds both and a lot of other institutions like public education and medical research. I decided to be self sufficient in mods, atomizers and nicotine more than 4 years ago and don't regret it. If you plan to be a life long vaper it might be prudent to do the same. The economics makes it kind of a no brainer. Smoking cost me $3,000 a year for a carton a week 5 1/2 years ago in Michigan. A year supply of DIY eliquid costs me about $25. My last relapse was after 10 years, can't be too careful, if you're me.

Vaping will certainly save you a lot of cash over time, especially if you DIY your own juice.

average price of a pack of cigarettes now - Bing
Prices per pack vary from $5.25 in Missouri to $12.85 in New York, but the national average comes out to around $6.28.(2, 3) Smoking a pack per day will run you $44 per week, $188 per month, and $2,292 per year. Over 20 years you’ll have spent $91,671 on cigarettes. That’s a lot of money to light up!

If anyone in government cares, I buy my lithium cells for my collection of high lumen LED flashlights. They also work well in my mods. I really do hope that they don't put America in the dark during a power failure through legislation. Most of my mods are single cell design, so I can mix and match between flashlights and single cell mods. The few dual cell mods I have use matched, marked, and paired dedicated cells.
