As an example, I just said I had one GV Solo die after 4 months - not that all my mods die after 4 months. I just asked the question originally to find out how many regulated mods most people target to feel comfortable.

Check out U Tube on the solo, it has a bad 510 connector and the + wire breaks off! It's not hard to fix, just a pain finding the tiny bits to take it apart.

@dcdozer , sorry I must have misremember what you said. So one dying is maybe just a lemon and you should be good with your stash if all the others are lasting a long time.
All good. The Solo death after 4 months was the worst example, but my wife has also had a couple Picos die, and Sigeleis didn't seem to last long for me. My original post painted a gloomy picture but I didn't go into every detail. I've had some kangers and eleaf iStick 60w last a couple years and are still kicking. Again, was just trying to see how many regulated mods most folks felt like was "enough".

Got it. I was just going on what another person said. That makes more sense. I hope you got resolution for the solo. That's certainly not a long enough time for a "rugged" mod to last.

I wish I could find Joyetech Elitar pipes for under $25. Hard to find and when you do they want a lot for them. Not worth more than $25 to me, I already have 3.

I don't hold it like a pipe, I hold it like a tube mod with the "bowl" in my fist. It's more ergonomic than a tube mod and you have a better grip since you have the "bowl" in your fist.

It's not the best looking when you look at it as a pipe mod, but it's a great shape for a mod in general, I think.

If anyone finds any for a reasonable price, PM me please.

I have one of these I won in a contest years ago.. https://www.amazon.co.uk/IdealVape-com-HCIGAR-Stainless-Mechanical-Electonic/dp/B00HP48GGO

mind you it is a mech but super solidly built and runs 18350 up to 18650

If you could find one it would hold up well

What are you calling spinners & where do you get your CE4s? Won't they be hard to keep a supply? I have some t3s clogged
And the CIG battery craped out after a week or 2. I miss V2 closed.

Vision Spinner 2:

Vision Spinner 2 Extra Large 510 Battery

ejuicesteals 25% off code (good for whole site): STEAL25

CE4:

CE4 Clearomizer

Central Vapors 25% off code (good for whole site): VAPOR25

My mother gets weeks and weeks out of a CE4 but she vapes nearly unflavored PG/VG, she makes up a 50ml bottle and only uses maybe 5 or so drops of Hangsen Virginia.

Whereas if you were to use less clean vaping liquid you may only get a few days out of a CE4.

Vision Spinners are great devices, variable voltage by spinning the knob on the bottom.

I would say that if your mods are lasting 4 months even anywhere remotely consistently, you are either working in an environment not friendly to small electronics, you are doing doing something wrong, you are abusing the mods or you keep buying the same crappy mods that apparently designed to fail in or around 4 months.

This is not my experience at all with mod longevity and I don't exactly take care for my mods like I know some do.

It depends on the make and model of the mod. My first 18650 mod was a Vamo clone. I didn't even know there were Vamo clones. But eBay had many of them. The pieces doesn't fit as well as an authentic and the spring loaded 510 threads were brass. After about 3 weeks of use, the 510 spring would shoot your atty across the room just out of the blue, since the threads had worn down to nothing. My second 18650 mod was an authentic Vamo. That one still works today.

Then there was that Smok M65 mod. Chrome plated brass doesn't make for great battery connections. And once you get upwards of 30 watts or so, the board couldn't get enough voltage to operate. That part didn't bother me since I rarely vaped over 20 watts back then. But mine after 3 weeks would only fire an output of 3.3v, if the power was higher than say 10 watts. It had taken lots of emails to MadVapes to convince them this was not normal. They finally exchanged it for a Smok M65 v2 (v2 almost nobody has or heard of). It uses copper battery contacts. That one still worked fine the last time I fired it up.

The teacher thing explains it, LOL. They always have 750 pencils in their pencil box to give out and they are all "special" in some way and the kid gets to pick one.
HAD I HAD more time, my stash MIGHT have rivaled @JCinFLA

I'm sure these 75 will out live me LOL my only mod with dimming screen is a SVD, I need to get it out and use it while it still lights up. I really like it as a tube mod.

Even if half of those 75+ mods you have were to be defective or only last 1 month, you'll still be fine.

$24.99 at wetvapes for a pulse 80.
I added a $4.99 pack of cotton laces to reach $29.98 and got free shipping.

The 80 can be fw upgraded easily, and if I want to run 21700 it takes about 1 minute with a dremel to slightly open the oval cutout where you can push the battery out.
