Ouch. Freezers have been tough to get since the meat shortages in the spring.

If you had told me that out of all of my stock up purchases the darned freezer would be what was hard to get in October 2020 I would have called you a liar.

Smallish ones, 3-7 cubic feet, are becoming more available again. But bigger ones, say 15 or 20 cubic feet, still seem to be hard to get.

    A bit of levity:

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The topic of "regret" has come up before and I have to say that I do have one regret, sort of.

I regret having so many mods that are old enough not to have a preheat function. Preheat is just...well...awesome.

The immediate hard hit you get with preheat, especially on 26g wire, make me not enjoy my older mods that much. I don't hate them, but I don't like them much anymore. I can see myself not using them at all for DL vaping at some point soon.

I just thought of something. Most of my older mods are Picos 75W, Pico Mega and Pico 25 mods that I think can be flashed with Arctic Fox firmware, which I believe will give them a preheat function. Gonna check it out tonight or tomorrow.

Put a sign for how many liters of nicotine underneath and you're speaking vapeneck.

Welp, I installed Arctic Fox on my oldest Pico 75W that has a dying screen and a somewhat messed up button. I actually bricked it on the first try (I guess technically that's not "bricking" but it was 100% dead).

Had to hold the USB firmly while I tried again. And it worked!

Now I have Preheat on my Pico 75W.

It takes a bit getting used to the new look of the screen and the new menu system.

You can set preheat in 3 different ways, Curve, Percentage of set wattage or a preset wattage.

Anyhow, it's wonderful having preheat on this mod. Can't wait to install it on the Pick Mega and Pico 25 as well as the Elitar Pipe and Evic VTwo Mini!

No more regret! The few mods I have that AF won't work on will be used for extreme tootle puffing :D

Arctic Fox installed on Elitar Pipe now. Preheat enabled !!!!!!!!

Didn't realize you can make all your settings in the software on your PC then just upload them to the mod in one click. Sweet! Much easier that way than fumbling around the menus.

Lots of setting you can configure including screen brightness, how many clicks gets to to which menu, how long it takes to go into sleep, things like that. It's like you have a whole new mod.

It sounds a lot like escribe for the dna mods but you don’t have to have a dna board.

It is. Arctic Fox has a Device Manager and everything. One thing that Arctic Fox does that EScribe can't is to set the puff counter to any number you want. I use the puff counter to know how many puffs since the coil has been changed. Longer lasting coils can get 8000+ puffs out of them. Which is generally for me, 100ml of juice through them.

I am considering trying it on my old VTC mini. The thing was gifted to me years ago and I never found the original software on it comprehensible to me. Since I couldn't figure the dang thing out I have hardly ever used the dang thing. I am a simple kanthal wire, single coil, wattage/voltage vaper and just never could get it dialed in to what I like. Tempted to try it

can someone pm me the place to buy bulk nic/pg/vg in US right now? cheap cheap cheap? I have been buying 250ml here, 500ml there but I am wanting to grab an end all be all amount within the next few months.
A lot of us have been happy with:
    Nicotine Solution - 100mg Liter

It's pin saleperiodically, however even its normal price is decent.

Don't forget to pick up glass bottles for long term storage (they also carry those at a decent price).

    $50 is free shipping.

Glass bottles for outside the freezer, what if I am keeping it in a freezer? Keep it in the plastic, right?
Glass bottles for in the freezer, add a label with name, date purchased, strength.

I'll typically add one layer of bubble wrap around the bottle.

Nic doesn't expand when cold, it's okay to fill it up to the neck, though avoid it touching the bottle cap (so there's no chance of leaching over time). Just a bit of air space.

thanks guys! I just ordered a liter and some bottles for now. I have a chest freezer and an extra fridge in the house so I'll just throw it all in one of those. Thanks for the bubblewrap idea markfm. we'll see, maybe I'll get a gallon or two next time :p

Late to the party, but Heartland's "house" nic is all I've used for years. Might also want to add the base on the paper label, i.e. PG, VG or ratio. And maybe the batch/lot number and source.

Since the bottles are "sized" to a point at the base of the neck, by going a bit over that, as Mark suggested, you'll be able to get the whole liter into 4 "nominal" 8 oz bottles.

Believe it or not I don't use bubble wrap. I use old odd socks(clean of course) that the dryer monster ate the mate to the pair. added benefit is extra light blockage. I then put the sock wrapped bottle in a ziplock bag and into the freezer it goes.
