    One thing to note: If you order from a vendor who does not take your state tax out -the feds will know. I don't know how petty they will be in a taxed vaping state but they can go back the years the tax law was enacted. This is my rambling but I hope it makes sense to folks.

    But that tax burden is still on the vendor if they fail to report it. They are not going to bill a thousand or so people, maybe more if it's a large vendor. They are going to hit that vendor up with the bill. In the case of buying cigarettes on a reservation where most of the sales are exempt, but a few people come and make several large purchases, trying to avoid the taxes, it is more likely the customers will get hit with the bill, but thousands of little transactions over several years is an accounting nightmare.

    This is false. An example would be this. If I bought eliquid though vendors when the law in my state was started in 2019. This was a excise tax directed for distributors. Right now we have no extra taxes on vaping goods. (It might change soon though). Anyway, its the vendor who you buy from that pays this tax-not the consumer. They might pass the saving on to me though a higher price. As of right now there is no federal excise tax. I just started researching this. I suggest going to your state website about vaping tax.https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEwi-jpWOjfDvAhXQXc0KHTmmC3QQFjACegQIAxAD&url=https://www.revenue.wi.gov/Pages/FAQS/ise-vape.aspx&usg=AOvVaw0iCu_FL9Cbch7VGKqyQW2L One thing to note: If you order from a vendor who does not take your state tax out -the feds will know. However, the Pact act/vaping mail ban from my understanding is they are reporting sales now to ATF (save the children ya know) . Hence, why most small vendors have bailed.

    I've been to my states website we have a 30% tax that isn't being charged to me in 2021 even though it went into effect in January. People don't follow rules well, and there was a rumor online that they had to report 5 years back and unless you have proof they didn't I'm just going to assume my info was sent in.

    I'm getting my o-rings, then I can just be sure I'm on the list and get over it.

    You don't have to get your o-rings at a vape shop. Here are 2 places that have just about any o-ring you want and for decent prices. That will keep your purchases from being reported.

    I thought I saw someone say in another thread that some companies were going back 5 years and reporting all transactions to the ATF even if they don't really have to.
    and there was a rumor online that they had to report 5 years back and unless you have proof they didn't I'm just going to assume my info was sent in.

    Could you share with us the source of this rumor? You keep repeating it for some reason but I have no idea where this information comes from and whether it's true--or even plausible or legally tenable.

    That said, maybe @low_tar_neil could help us? He might know. Are vaping vendors/stores required by law to provide 5 years of past transactions to the Feds? And if they are not, why would they volunteer doing it? That makes absolutely no sense to me.

    Well that depends so its best to know your state law regarding this, there is a distinct difference between sales tax and excise vapor taxes. One is In addition to the other.
    In my state Ohio the consumer can be liable to pay the tax:

    Vapor Products

    The distributor pays the tax. Distributors include any person that:
    • Sells vapor products to a retail dealer;
    • Is a retail dealer who receives untaxed vapor products which the tax has not or will not be paid by another distributor;
    • Is an Ohio wholesale dealer who receives vapor products from a manufacturer or receives untaxed vapor products;
    • Is an out-of-state wholesale dealer that sells vapor products to an Ohio wholesale dealer

    In the case of an out-of-state dealer who sells directly to a consumer in Ohio, the seller is the taxpayer. However, if a consumer receives vapor products on which the tax has not been paid, the consumer is liable for the tax.

    I needed these Smok Prince TFV12 specific ones because of the top fill gasket. I've actually ripped it on both of my tanks in rotation. So fast tech it is. They were cheaper by far than anywhere US anyways.

    Found 200 pre-wound coils in my cart so I guess those are coming as well. Why not.

    I'll get on the list some other day. I'm sure to end up needing Juul pods for stealth vaping.

    Someone said it in some thread, they talked about it for a while, someone said it sounded like Reddit information and everyone moved on. The conversation stuck with me but my memory is the worst so I'm sorry I don't even know what thread. I'll stop talking about it, I honestly don't care that much anyways I'm sure I'm on far worse lists from some wild posts in my 20s.
