I just placed my test order with fasttech.

Ok, ok...2 orders . I don't like ramming too much stuff in one shipment.

Bought a couple bricks of coils so those are in one shipment.

In the other order, I bought two Hugo Squeezers, a few cheap clone BF RDAs and a bunch of small accessories, mainly 510 connectors.

The Squeezers are pretty ugly if you ask me, but the price is right and people generally seem to like 'em.

The Squeezer was the first squonk I bought specifically to rebuild the innards, switching to a modmaker 510 connector and copper plate contacts, and swapping in a different bottle. I pretty quickly changed to the Vpdam Leon platform, because I preferred the look and hand feel of it, though the Squeezer was easy to work on.

I've currently got three FT orders in the works. My original test order was a Dead Rabbit RTA clone and a drip tip, but the DR got discontinued, so I substituted a Juggerknot clone. The drip tip was delaying the order, so I cancelled it, then reordered it separately. So my first test order turned into the Juggerknot, and my second is the drip tip. I had a coupon code and they had the Dovpo Topside dual squonker in the color I wanted, but it appeared that these were going fast, so I went ahead and ordered that as my third test order. That's how my one test order turned into three.

Every time I say ok that is all I need for stocking up, I find that there is just one more thing I need! LOL I am about all set but I am sure I will find something else. All set on mods, rebuilds, Nic, may get a few more flavors and VG/PG to have on hand :)

This has been me for the past month, haha. I currently have 7 shipments awaiting delivery from various sites; that's on top of the 7 or so that I've already gotten. Every time I look at a site, I think hmmm, I could use that. 9 mods and several tanks later, here I am.

If you are a military/first responder/veteran, Freemanvapejuice has a 60% discount currently until the 21st when they shut down. If not military/first responder/veteran, there's a 50% discount. 120 mL for $10 or $12 isn't bad, and I've really enjoyed most of their flavors so far. Sometimes I can't tell if it's the tank/coil or the juice, but I'm not going to complain really. I can give feedback if you're wondering about some of the flavors. Also the shipment is super fast.

To turn on it is very sensitive. You have to do the 5 clicks at the precise tempo. Too fast or too slow and it won't work. After awhile, it takes a multitude of tries to turn on, until it eventually just won't turn on at all.

I have a really old one of these I've been using every day for years. I've obviously gotten the quick 5 clicks down but sometimes it just doesn't want to turn on, like you said. Maybe if yours is like mine however ejecting the batteries and just putting them back in will reset it and get it to turn back on easier. That's what I've found with mine.

I looked at Hoosiers clearance items, Pods, Pods & Pods. At this late date I think pods are a bad investment. I have several internal batts going down to nothing sadly. Some of my pods I liked, like the Podin and Orion, but they don't last.

Unusually you can get 1-3 years of service from the battery in an integrated battery 510 mod depending on how hard you tax it and how gentle you are with it. Maybe they are putting junk/reconditioned batteries in these pod systems?

But I guess it doesn't matter becuase even if a pod's battery lasted years, the pods/coil will likely go out of production before the battery anyhow :D

I'd hate to be put in a position as a vaper to have to constantly change my vape gear and learn to live with it, or possibly constantly be thinking to just go back to cigarettes (or try to quit I guess). No matter what the case may be with regulations, bans, and poor quality products, it seems to me that if you find something you like, you have to hoard it to hedge against this. This has always been the case with 97% of products in the vaposphere and it still holds true.

Cigarettes are such a better product to be addicted to in this respect - too bad they stink and make you sick/kill you so easily (not to mention they turn you into a pariah, but I guess vaping does that too).

I guess going forward, the "best" pod system will be the one that is so popular that just about any vape shop or smoke shop has the coils & replacement pods for it...regardless of how well it works .

Here, have a Vuse, becuase I have a feeling there won't me much more than that left on the US market come Sept. I hope I'm wrong.

One thing I like about my old uwell hypercar, it actually has an on/off switch.:)

I wish the few Yihi mods I have had a mechanical on/off switch so I wouldn't have to worry about the PCB killing and venting the battery.

When I first learned of the vape mail ban and before I even looked at anything recent, post 2016, a friend of mine asked me if she should buy more of the pod system she uses. I was like Oh he!! no! To my memory pod systems were all in one throw-aways.
Finding out my favorite coil was no longer made forced me to actually look around and I was surprised by some "pod" systems of today. Sure many are still the throw-aways pod systems but some use external batteries, popular replaceable coils, have rba/rdtas. I kinda wish they would have called the later styles something else but they do have that proprietary plastic pod in common. I guess like any favorite tank the actual pod is something you would want to stock up on.

Internal battery mods like any battery have a lifespan, some have lasted me 2-4 years before dying while I have others that are still going strong 8+ years... Would I want to depend on one for my only? No, but, not everyone wants to do the whole external battery charging thing and there are times when it's impractical. If I'm going away for a weekend (or a week to my sisters) I take internal battery mods. So much easier.
I never charge an external battery in my mod, but some do.

Which Yihi mods do you have?

In my stash I have five iPV D3's. They run on the YiHi SX150H chipset. I haven't had any issues with them. They are old but very nice mods.

Which Yihi mods do you have?

Mods with the SX130 30W chipset.

But those aren't the only ones that have been reported with this issue. If you search here and google you'll find laments/reports of other Yihi chipsets that have a high rate of quiescent current drain (most call it parasitic drain so that would be a better search term, but it's actually quiescent drain that I'm talking about here).

I've vented a battery 2 times in these mods by keeping the batt in the mod unused and on off (standby) for about a week or so. The first time it happened I didn't know what happened, I just went to use it and it was dead and found out I had a 0v battery. The second time I actually heard it vent and when I figured out what it was, again a 0v battery in the mod.

I understand that you should take the battery out of any mod that's not in use, I learned that the hard way :D. However, I've tested just about every mod I've had in rotation so far and the quiescent drain is so little that it doesn't drain the battery hardly at all within a week. I'm talking less than 0.1v. And all my mods are cheap, mainstream chinese mods.

Only way to test this on a mod (easily anyhow) is to record the voltage of a battery, put it in the mod, turn the mod off and set it aside for a few days then test the batteries voltage. Then do it for a few more days if needed. Would never go a full week at a time since you have no idea what it's quiescent current is. Could be a bad idea. So test every couple of days instead.

I don't know anything about the YiHi SX130H-V2 but I wouldn't be surprised if it drains the battery more than any of your other mods after a week or 2 unused and in standby ("off"). It's a known issue, but I don't know if it's a known issue for all Yihi Chipsets. Yihi doesn't seem to GAS , it's been known/reported for years now.

Edited to add: So to get back to my original statement, if these mods I have had an on/off switch (and I remembered to use it) that would negate the high quiescent current drain on these mods. I simply don't trust them even sitting overnight anymore. Although I do like using them. If I didn't, they would be in landfill today.
