MFS is shutting down. :(

Coupon code SHUTDOWN20 for 20% off sitewide, closing 5/31 @ 11:55 PM EST.

That's interesting because I'm subbed to their email list but I didn't get that notice. Are they closing only their online store or their B&M store, too?

I see nothing on their website about it.

That's good if you are not sure you want to go into DIY or not, but you can get all of the supplies individually from separate vendors for a lot better deals. You would just be dealing with larger volumes. The nicotine is the trickiest and should be dealt with first, because after the mail ban, you will not be able to get that shipped. You should purchase as much nicotine as you can afford and have space for. @UncleJunkle has a list of the current vendors. Flavors can be purchased at Bull City Flavors or Chef's. The VG and PG can be purchased at several different sites, including Amazon, although they are no longer the cheapest. The syringes, etc. Can be bought at Amazon or you may elect to mix by weight, in which you will need a digital scale. The first thing is the nicotine, though, and glass bottles to store it in your freezer.

So you didn't use it all?

I've used most of it, but I'll eventually have a use for whatever I have not used. Syringes are useful for a lot of things, for instance.

I bought my starter kit from Heartlandvapes a couple years ago. Came with gloves, a few bottles, 500ml of PG, 500ml PG, 5 30ml flavors of my choice, 250ml of nic, and some small mixing cups. Only thing I may never use is the mixing cups.

So it's mostly useful stuff, but if I had to do it again I probably wouldn't buy it. Wasn't a bad price. I think I paid $40 or so.

But you have to understand, for me DIY us super easy. I only vape 1-flavor recipes so all I have to do is figure out what percentage of flavor is good for me. And I'm not really into experimenting much with new flavors or into intricate recipes. I'm happy with the few flavors I vape. Been vaping peppermint for years and just added Black Licorice as another all day vape. I'm a simple vaper.

Personally, at this point, I'd just buy nic and worry about everything else later.

Oof, I'm in a temporary setting, so I wouldn't say I'm in a situation where I'm able to store an ample amount of nic. Also, nic isn't very high on my needs list, tbh. I'd like to eventually get down to zero nic. I will look into Bull City and Chef's though.

What is the difference between mixing by weight and volume? A substance, assuming it's the exact same substance by volume, should weigh the same. No?

I could see myself vaping honeydew with maybe a bit of a custard accent until I'm 6 feet under, lol. I get it.

The destination is the same. Only difference is how you get there.

When I go to the grocery store, I take the highway 3/4ths of the way. I could take another route but I could potentially get stuck behind slowpokes and 15-18 red lights. But it doesn't matter which way I go, I still get there.

Check your spam folder that is where mine was.

I did. Still haven't received it. I even checked my trash folder in case I deleted it by accident.

Oh well, all I wanted to know was if they are going to keep their B&M store open. Did the email mention that?

@UncleJunkle what do you use for you Black Licorice concentrate? I have vaped it in the past but only from premade juices and I have yet to find the right concentrate or mix for my taste.
