I kind of hate you right now.

JK, Spinners for friends & look at the price on that 6 bay Bluetooth charger!

28117059404_13703b4a34.jpg

I like my charger. Good price on that rx200s also. I want a few more but it has to wait a month or two so I doubt that sale will still be in effect but added to my cart for later regardless.

Sorry I didn't know about the discount. How did you find it?

From @KTMRider in the pico thread.... but not until after I already placed my order. I shot them an email to see if they would price adjust for me with the code.

For those of you that have not read this: Before you click that "order" button

I would highly suggest you do so and start checking the sites you order from. There are far too many sites out there that are not following basic security practices for a server, and many are most likely compromised.

Thank you for reposting this. :)

Oh no. So sorry to hear but glad it was caught. What makes these thieves think that trying to charge such high amounts wouldn't send up red flags to the cc companies? Especially if you live across the country?
If I travel and plan to use my cc, I call them to alert them that I am traveling so they won't red flag my purchases for gas, hotels, etc. Or if I am planning on a huge purchase, like having a new roof put on(which I had last year) I called and informed them of the amount and the companies' name who was doing the work. Can't be too careful these days.
Hope they find your package soon.
:)
i figure when the banks get tired enough,, mercenaries will be hired to take care of the problem.

My FT order is at my post office and scheduled for delivery today. Another (white) pico for the stash and finally will have my atty stand for the desk. Guess I finally have to clean my desk and make some room for it.

edit: my MFS liter of nic is also due today. Need to find/buy a cardboard box for the 120ml bottles it will be broke down into that will fit the open slot in the bottom of my freezer next to the rest of my nic.

Once you use up all the funds you loaded on this card can you later reload it and use it again?

Yes, and they will issue you another when it expires. You can load them as often as you like, if your loading less than 500.00 then they charge three dollars, but they are good for a few years, just like a regular credit card. It's visa, so good anywhere. (Although I think MasterCard has this as well)

It's a small fee, for a whole lot of peace of mind. Also, it's a good way to get your kids money fast when they are young adults and on their own for the first time, because you can get two cards for the same account, one with your name and address and one with theirs. Then, if they need money you don't have to mail it, you just load the card and they can access it almost immediately. I did that with all the kids, because they always needed money for something when they first moved out, and that was just easier when they called to borrow. My daughter would need money for her medications and such (she was diabetic), or my son would need extra grocery money.. it was terribly convenient to have them. That was originally why I got into the cards, but saw the other benefits as well for online shopping.

VapersTek shipped my nic same day. I'll have it tomorrow. Awesome! The $40L throat hit nic is excellent. Don't let the word "throat hit" fool you. It's still one of the smoothest and cleanest nics with minimal taste on the market and the price is killer.

No, those are gift cards usually, and what you need are ones that specifically say "reloadable" that said, you can get them at Wal-Mart, or at some banks, those two places I know for sure, as the first one I ever got was at the bank, after that I found out Wal-Mart has them, and purchased one because the one I got at the bank had expired and they didn't reissue you another with the same account when the card expires, whereas the one's at Wal-Mart do. So I got theirs, and have used the same account since.

If you go to Wal-Mart, then make sure your getting the reloadable card, you load it initially with 20.00, get online and give them your information (name and shipping) and get your account set up, then they mail you the visa with your name on it.. you can load that one you get at Wal-Mart either online or at any Wal-Mart store (You just take money off your credit or debit card card and put it on the reloadable card, or sometimes they just let you pay for the reload with credit or debit, depends on who is working.. but it's in the customer service money center where you can), or the one you get from the bank you can load either at the bank or online. I prefer loading in person, and Wal-Mart has better hours of operation than the bank.

Somewhere out there
Traveling to Puerto Rico today and returning, after the deeming, on August 15. I'll report back of any issues with travel and airport to let you all know if things change during that time. Sadly it is not technically international so I cannot report on the customs' side of things. First time I've traveled since vaping so it will all be a brand new experience, hopefully without issues.
I hope you take something not too expensive incase you get some flack. Have a good trip !

I didn't like the "reloadable" cards because one I had was a .50 transaction fee for every purchase (you really have to check the terms). I have been using the gift cards and never have an issue. Pay one fee to get the card, load what you want and done. Don't have to go online and give information.

Perfect example of what happens with the "trickle down" theory and the Early Bird Gets the Worm idea  :

I first posted about the deal on the cartos at AlvinEcigs on July 13th, which just happened to be the day after I'd found the deal and bought my 18 boxes (14 in SS in XL & XXL + 4 in Black in 35mm). See...I did it that way because I was finally tired of being the LATE Bird! :) I'd learned by July 11th, to not post about any super deals I'd found...until I'd had a chance to get some ordered. Had been posting them ASAIFT 'cause I was so excited about them. But, I'd always lose out on getting any...between the visible buyers on here & those "lurker" buyers we found out about recently! :sneaky:

See...I'm out here in the Boonies and still on DIAL-UP!! Yep...I said Dial Up! So I can never read the posts, post something myself, search for items, get to the websites, find the items & put them in my cart, complete Checkout, etc. as fast as the rest of you! So do I feel bad about finding and buying some items myself before posting the deal here now?? Nope! Well...maybe a little bit.

So, back to the cartos - After I posted the deal...a lot of people posted pretty quickly about buying bunches of them. Then it got quiet again about them. Then not too long ago...someone posted that AlvinEcigs still had some. That's when DebiK got busy and ordered hers below...and the "trickle down" started flowing again.

Kind of funny what effect we've had on helping vendors get rid of old stock, discontinued stuff, overstocks, etc., isn't it? Most likely stuff they've had for a long time...all the while thinking "Crap, I'll never be able to sell this." Then one of us comes along to post about their old crap on the ECF, and BOOM...sold out before too long! :D

By the way - I was LMAO as I read each post by you ladies about the cartos. Was a great finish to the night for me!
I waited from July 13th until July 29th to order. I went and looked when you posted it, but I could not buy any. I had to wait until I got my tiny vaping money again. I watched them dwindle down back then to almost nothing usable. (all good names gone, most 510s gone, lower ohms gone). Dial-up is your problem. Tiny vaping budget is mine. I don't have a credit card either. If I have nothing in the bank when something's posted, I just lose out. When I checked on the 29th, I was surprised there were any left and grabbed them babies! Had to get 1/2 of them 2.5 ohms, but I'll live. lol If I get to the point that I can't wrap coils and can't find anyone to do it for me, I will be happy to have them!!! Being new to cartos, I tried a 2.5 out yesterday. Finally got past the taste of the filler and it wasn't 1/2 bad!

BTW, the 4 boxes of black ones were still there when I went to bed. ScandaLex wasn't lying. Didn't go back. LOL

$5,400...???? Man, they're getting ballsy these days! That's outrageous. Sorry!

That was my thought, too! Seriously, painting your house??? So bold!

Not likely painting their house. What they do is either own a scam co or a friend does. They can then 'launder' the money through the business and get the cash. It is a twist on the old: steal cc/id, buy a bunch of high end stuff and return it immediately for cash.

I went through an identity theft thing a few years ago. Not being criminally minded, I couldn't believe the stuff they did. They were already returning high end items while I was making a police report. Fortunately, the store was suspicious and called me. Other stores like Walmart were not so careful and tried to make me pay for the bad checks/cc fraud. For the checks, they didn't use the stolen ones, they printed a fake name, used my address and phone number on checks for a local bank I have never used with a bogus account number. When checks bounced, the merchants called me. Went on for 3 years and was a nightmare. For anyone else who doesn't know it, they don't need pin numbers for debit cards, I always thought you needed that and have one but never used it. Apparently, you just swipe the card at many places and get cash, buy gas, whatever (Safeway was one).

Thanks for the heads up, I checked my accounts and will be keeping an eye out. The only good thing that came out of my id theft nightmare is my cc companies seem to have me on a high alert and they won't accept a lot of purchases until I call them and approve it. All of the international orders usually require my approval.

Pay one fee to get the card, load what you want and done. Don't have to go online and give information.

The one I have doesn't have a per purchase fee at all. It's a monthly fee of 3.00 if you keep your balance below 500.00, and 3.00 to load if you keep your balance below 500.00. (Free if you keep the higher balance though) But even so, it's cheaper than risking fraud, and it's continual.. you don't have to keep getting new cards when you spend what was on it, and your information stays the same, so you can autofill forms which is a time saver.

As far as where the charges came from, businesses used to charge a fee to the customer to use Visa, since Visa charges 2% (aprox.) of each purchase Visa is used on to the business for the convenience of accepting Visa.

Visa made a rule later then, that a business could no longer pass the cost onto the customer, so now, all a business can do to pass the cost on, is to hike all their prices up that 2% fee, and then offer a 2% cash discount to cash paying customers.. rather than to do what used to be customary. In time, businesses stopped offering the cash discount. Lol.. never did know why.

But I agree with you, fine print is important.

First issue of trip: Already had one haha. No eliquids allowed in checked luggage. All has to be carry on. Agent had to make sure it was allowed first too. TSA didn't even flinch when it or the ecig went through on the scanner.

My ditch worthy mods for just in case: istick 20w, kanger topbox mini, protank 2, and a couple disposable CE4.

I didn't know this. I shop at Safeway and always have to enter a pin number. I select "credit/debit" on the machine prior to swiping. Next time I'll look for a debit only option.
