DH, was that the sister mod to the GoldRush (madvapes)? I adore those things!! Huge, but SO lightweight.
I don't remember if that was the name of it. But, yes, there was a gold one too. Just the 2 colors. I hadn't paid attention to the description of the gold one since I wanted the Blue Lightning. It's description said it took a 14500.

I thought it was going to be tiny. It's not. It can fit a 14650. It could probably fit a 16650 if I had one to try.

But, it sure is pretty!

Me as well. I was a huge SJ fangoi. DH, was it in the SI website that you saw her posting a year (or so) ago?
Yes. And, she's still there. Just go to the bottom of a page and click on 'Demo Videos'.

You guys were busy this morning! I had to skim, 5 pages.

This morning?o_O I went out of town for the weekend and haven't been here much since Thursday. Took me most of the day to catch up.

I almost violated my no buy after the 8th rule today. It'll be winter before too long and I got to thinking about this crazy ice storm we had a few years back and how we had no power for 2 weeks!! It was about 4 days before I could even get out of the house. Then I thought that maybe I should get one more Evic VT just for some battery life. Now mind you, I don't even use the one I have very often much less thinking about needing another one. So I hunted around today until I found one at a semi reasonable price, put it in the cart and was going through the checkout process when I ran into Blue Check. No thank you, dumped the cart and walked away. Then it really made me realize the whole purchase would have been stupid anyway. I decided that this fall instead of my annual 8 18650 battery purchase I'd pick up 16 instead and another 4 bay charger. Use them for 2 years in rotation instead of the typical 1 year that I do now with 8. Ice storms don't sneak up on ya, plenty of warning time to be charged up and ready to go.

So I guess I can thank Blue Check for keeping me vape purchase free after the 8th as I intend to remain. :sneaky:

Mike, I had the multi charger too. Way back then, with those little cigalikes running about 45 minutes, I kept two with me, and two on the charger. So, wherever I was, when my hour and half ran out, I had to trot home as quickly as pastable! (and no, I had ZERO klue that one should not charge unattended!) Ahhh, the wild days.

I remember making a 10 hour car ride with those 510 ciga-likes and cartridges. There was always one on the car charger and one in my hand. Even got pretty good refilling the carts while driving. Bought my 1st passthrough when I got back from that trip

Don't know if this has been posted but I see ecig-city has the Coil Master 521 Tab on sale for $25. Regular price is $40.

Dang! I finally got bit by this thread ... bought something on my wish list, not on my need list.

Thank you, DH! It was fun to see/hear her again, altho I have stayed in touch with her regular YT vids over the years. I actually never saw them removed, oddly enuf.

The Blue Lightning IS beautiful! From what I've just read, the Goldrush is the bigger sister to it. It takes an 18650.

MadVapes Blue Lightning Tube Mod, this thing is so nice!!!*****

(how's THIS for ol' skool! Look at the GAPOSIS!!!!!!!)

I thought that was bit odd but assumed was a typo and didn't want to mention anything as I think talk of 100mg/l+ is against the rules. Glad they sorted it out properly.

FWIW most of my ordering was done late at night while drinking, makes it easier to not think about paying for it later.... also explains why I have way more tanks than I need and not enough mods.

I looked up the rules in the forum before posting, we're allowed to discuss up to 200 mg/ml when its members talking about DIY.

Ouch. I just knocked my new emerald green provari off the computer desk, it bounced off a metal mouse pad on the keyboard tray, bounced off a lower shelf AND the door and spun across the floor.
When I picked it up there was a big old scratch in that pretty green mod. Sad face occurred. Then I noticed that scratch move just a bit. So I touched it and yep........dog hair. The vari is fine.

Blue is my favorite color. But, your pictures of the Gold Rush are much better than Madvapes' pictures. Now, I wish I had bought that one too while I could. It's beautiful!

Thanks for the link. Now, I'm not the only one that ever bought a Blue Lightning!

I can't get over how much stuff ya'll have leftover from the old days - everytime I bought something I vaped it till it could not be used anymore. I do have some blue foam, maybe a couple of adapters and of course chargers, but everything else - gone...:)

I am almost certain I had the blue lightning and the goldrush. Wonder what happened to them?
Nothing to save. Just dead gear. Not one item have I ever bought has not had it's life vaped out of it. Not counting the ones I have broken over the years... :)
You didn't buy enough stuff.

Now I feel I did... I never went back to the stinkies so I what I bought was just enough.

I kind of used the money I saved with vaping for other stuff - like fishing, camping, vacations, etc...

All this GLV and other early mods chat and photos are making me want to pull out my original "deeming stash box" and see what's in there. I know there isn't a blue lightening, though I know it made it in my cart a couple of times. :)

GLV, (purple mini & yellow 5volt) Roughstack (in rare raspberry), Sweetvapes mini wood squanker, phidias squanker and an adorable battery box mod are in there for sure. These are the early ones I just couldn't part with.

I don't think I could remember all the names of the vari's I've owned, but I do have a collection I'm pleased with, including back-ups of a few favorites.

I think that long stick "cig-alike" is a true disposable. For a little while I gave them away to those interested, when I could vape where there were curious people interested in learning more. I think I still have a couple. Converted a few, too. :thumb:

You sure this isn't really my sister in disguise? She's always bringing back broken gear.

I love my kabuki's --- and have for over a year now. :)

As my collection is in pretty good shape with the requisite RBA/RDA sampling & supplies, I'd rather buy more nauti coil stock than check out another RBA any day.

RBA fans -- don't freak out or worry about this gal -- I use an old and loved dripper daily, to to insure I keep tuned to building and wicking skills for my modest "old school" style.
