The way I understand FDA Regs, everything that is on the market prior to 8/16 can stay on the market for the next 2yrs. I believe that this is for devices and liquid.

I believe e-cigs items will now fall under tobacco regs, so do those states not allow tobacco products either?

There is still the Cole Bishop Amendment that has passed the House Committee and now moves forward as part of an appropriations bill and will be voted on in the House of Representatives this fall which will grandfather everything prior to 8/16'. It has bipartisan support, which greatly favors the vaping community.

The laws are changing too fast for most sites to keep with. CASAA is probably the only site with a decent running blog.

For example, this document on the 50 States is already out of date and does not include vaping related bans in Indiana and Utah.

I can understand states that have tobacco regulations now applying those regulations to ecigs as it is already a state law, but are you saying that states are making new laws against e-cigs that don't apply to big tobacco?

I've just been staying up to date for my state atm. Everything is the same as it's always been for now.
I even emailed my Reps, only 1 Senator replied with a standard form of course.

I can still buy tobacco & liquor so I don't see anything different with ecigs. If they want to restrict nicotine then they would need to do it for big tobacco also, so I don't see that happening.

California just put a 70% tax on the ballot for November (no mention of that in here just barely mentions it and highlights the $2 per pack cig tax) Cigarette tax initiative qualifies for November ballot, setting off expensive opposition campaign by tobacco industry

Not even a mention of that document of the 21 year old requirement in California and I can barely find anything about it in these forums even!

Not clear how that proposed cigarette increase would affect vape juice. I live in NY where the tax on cigarettes is way higher, I believe highest in the nation. Did I miss something in that article?

Also, 21 is going to be national on vape stuff under the deeming regs, not just by state.

I live in NYS and I just finished buying everything I need. I had been away from vaping for quite a while. I finally decided enough was enough and so far been away from the smokes for almost 2 weeks now. I did some reading on all the regs and figured vaping hardware is probably never again going to be as cheap as it is now if its available at all (through legal means anyway). I've got 2 picos, 2 smpls, 1 dripbox, 1 reo grand, 1 sigelei 150, a ton of Derringers and velocities, a few rtas, and enough 100 MG nic to last me at least 3 years. I just wish I could find some cheap magma v1s since I only have 1. I wish I could add another reo but unfortunately I just can't justify it.

In Arkansas e-liquid can only be purchase face to face. Once that law was put on the books some vape vendors would no longer sell to Arkansas residents. It is happening in other states to. I think we have more to fear from individual states than we do from the deeming regs at this point. Once the deeming regs go into effect 8/8/2016 I think more states will pass face to face sales only laws. Please don't hold me to that but that is just my thoughts on what is coming.

Most of them aren't exactly making new laws. They are just attaching existing tobacco laws.

I know my magma will likely outlast me but it's just so lonely. I thought about the v2 also but it's just not the same. I did get a reborn but haven't really had the time to play with it yet.

Some states have been enacting silly laws, we really have no idea how fast things will change after 8-8 once all vape products are deemed tobacco. That's why states are just as bad or worse than FDA, if they say no online purchases and all of the B&M's close shop because of FDA, then what? No where to buy during that 2 year period after 8-8

I have a couple kits. I'm a diesel mechanic so my 1 week old reo is already showing some wear. I know it will hold up and function just as well hence the reason i cant justify it. I'd just like to have a "nice" one for outside of work.

These sales today are killing me. I thought I was shopped out earlier in the weekend, but just had to use the 20% off at eciggity for another Merlin and some more drip tips (had to get an Abalone for my incoming Efusion Duo). Now, really, I'm done. Seriously. No kidding. Except for the SS Pico in my FT basket. Maybe some more odds and ends there before finishing check out.
