My stocking plan is in the signiture area below. Even though it isn't much I don't have it all yet and that's deliberate, to help me avoid overstocking. I feel the most need to finish the nic stock but procrastinating means fresher product. I got a lesson today about the potential downside of going slow. FT discontinued the rda I'm stocking. My plan calls for a few more. It's available from some other sources but it was instructive to have a moment where I doubted the availability of something in the plan. And lately there is a rumor that the government may declare nic concentrate a hazardous substance and limit shipping methods (I didn't think of that one).

Then there is the counter balance. I voted for Trump never expecting he could win but he did. I don't know if his appointments are competent but they are exciting. (I wonder how many vapers voted and how many voted for Trump. Did we turn the election?)

But even if Trump waves the magic wand over vaping I'll never trust government to let me vape in peace.

1. Liquid nicotine with strengths of 60mg - 250mg are considered a Class 6.1 Toxic - Packing Group lll and have to be shipped exclusively as Hazmat by the DOT (Department of Transportation). These items CANNOT be shipped through USPS or Fedex under any circumstances and with no exceptions. These strengths are not allowed to be shipped express or overnight and UPS GROUND is the only option. What does this mean for you as a customer? You will need to plan your orders ahead as we are unable to expedite services any longer. Also, be aware that by adding one “Hazmat” tagged item to your cart means the only offered shipping method will be UPS Ground. If there are no Hazmat tagged items in your cart then it is business as usual.



To summarize this paragraph,



- 60mg - 250mg liquid nicotine can only be shipped UPS GROUND with no exceptions



- Example: You can add 50 items in your cart but if 60mg 100mg or 250mg is apart of it the only shipping option that will show is UPS GROUND



- 48mg liquid nicotine and below is business as usual and can be shipped any way you choose



- There are no additional Hazmat Fees in addition to UPS Ground Charge

When did the Hazmat thing come out. I've ordered from Heartland and had deliveries by USPS without an issue. Just checked their site and there are no shipping restrictions mentioned.

My hunch is this has been a government rule for some time. Apparently there was a fine. May be there was a spill or leak of a nic shipment recently.

Absolutely. If something is important to me i prep just in case some do gooder tries to take it from me.

I woukd like for everyone to have 6 months of food and a Rainy day fund to cover 6 months of expenses.

When one preps the stress level goes WAAAAAAAY DOWN.

A box of 1000 costs something like $30. It can only be shipped UPS ground, and there's something like a $25 surcharge on the shipment due to the hazmat class they're in. However that surcharge doesn't change with the size of the shipment, so nobody in their right mind orders primers one box at a time.

I'm trying to figure this out. I had a commercial UPS pickup account back in the day. The driver and I knew each other well. He was an imporant part of my operation. He knew what business I was in. The drivers picking up from places that sell nic must know what they are picking up. If there are potential hazards or extra revenue for UPS I doubt the dirvers would ignore cargo that isn't being shipped properly. I'v had three different deliveries of nic. I didn't notice any special labels or handling. May be one or two of the orders came by UPS. Shipping was free. I must be overlooking something.

MFS and RTS have serious sales going. I'll probably place an order before 1/1 even though I'd really rather not. Usually, if I'm adding a mod to the stockpile I'll order from FT and add some of the dollar accessories so I have something to play with because the stockpile items go straight to storage, not play things.
