I'm not familiar with cartos and I'm not sure what is a good brand/type. Where did you order them from, please?
I have been ordering the 2.5Ω SmokTech's from mad vapes. They are $.59 a piece now.

Same here. I have them on all my box mods with beauty rings.
Wrapping the coil is easy. Getting the leads under those little tiny screws is not.

I think we need to come up some type of holding jig while we fiddle with screws and suchMy daughter has shaky hands. I have poor eyesight. Bad combo. My teenage grandson is good with tiny work like that, but has no interest. Maybe if we paid him?
And we can always make Carto tanks out of syringes like old days@Down-Time - Don't forget to get a few carto tanks while you're at it.
What is ready made base?I should have the last of my packages trickling in this week. Want to get some ready made base to vape and add my own flavorings and that's about it. I keep stalking eBay and my favorite online vendors for any deals last minute.

For me it's a liter of 6mg 70/30 that I can just put in my tank and vape. What is ready made base?

Even if it's in glass bottles kept in the freezer it's unlikely to last 10 years before it goes bad. Nicotine oxidizes over time. The more oxygen and more heat it's exposed to the faster it degrades. Keeping it in the freezer and putting it in glass bottles reduces how quickly it oxidizes, but nothing can stop it from oxidizing entirely.
In a plastic bottle in a dark place at room temperature I would expect nicotine base to last 1-1.5 years.
In a glass bottle in a dark place at room temperature I would expect nicotine base to last 2-2.5 years.
In a glass bottle in the freezer I would expect nicotine base to last somewhere between 5-7 years.
I would not count on nicotine base to last 10 years. MAYBE if it's been vacuum sealed in a dark glass bottle with an air-tight, non-permeable cap and kept in a freezer down around 0 degrees F, MAYBE, but even that is questionable. There is still some oxygen in the nic base itself, it will still degrade, just very very slowly.
This is one of the Best Things that I have bought in the last 5 Years.

I like this style because you can Flip Up the lens. And it not like you are walking Under Water when you get up to Grab Something.
Maybe everyone should have Deeming Parties on 8-8. That way we could meet all our vaping neighbors and exchange contact information. Then someday, when we can't see well enough to attach our coils, we'll have younger neighbors who can help us out. We could also swap vape supplies and such as needed.
This is depressing. But, I'll probably take the lenses out of my jeweler's headset and just put Coke bottle glass in.
