I'm not familiar with cartos and I'm not sure what is a good brand/type. Where did you order them from, please?

I have been ordering the 2.5Ω SmokTech's from mad vapes. They are $.59 a piece now.

Wrapping the coil is easy. Getting the leads under those little tiny screws is not.

Yes, it can be difficult. If I get to a point where I feel my dexterity is beginning to go I'm planning on pulling out all my atomizers and placing a coil in each one before it gets to the point I can't. I vape unflavored so coils last me a good long time, and with several atomizers that should last me a few years. I also have a couple of springomizers and hopefully I'll still be able to just push a spring in a slot. If I can't even manage that much then I'm probably not living anywhere they'll let me vape anyway.o_O

Somewhere out there
My daughter has shaky hands. I have poor eyesight. Bad combo. My teenage grandson is good with tiny work like that, but has no interest. Maybe if we paid him?
I think we need to come up some type of holding jig while we fiddle with screws and such :)

I should have the last of my packages trickling in this week. Want to get some ready made base to vape and add my own flavorings and that's about it. I keep stalking eBay and my favorite online vendors for any deals last minute.
What is ready made base?

I like this style because you can Flip Up the lens. And it not like you are walking Under Water when you get up to Grab Something.

@Down-Time - Don't forget to get a few carto tanks while you're at it.

I'm glad you mention this. I was just researching and becoming confused. It seems this should be simple and I'm making more out of it.

I'm thinking of my latter years too. Simply put, there are two components I need to purchase: a tank & replacement cartos? Am I close? LOL

Even if it's in glass bottles kept in the freezer it's unlikely to last 10 years before it goes bad. Nicotine oxidizes over time. The more oxygen and more heat it's exposed to the faster it degrades. Keeping it in the freezer and putting it in glass bottles reduces how quickly it oxidizes, but nothing can stop it from oxidizing entirely.

In a plastic bottle in a dark place at room temperature I would expect nicotine base to last 1-1.5 years.
In a glass bottle in a dark place at room temperature I would expect nicotine base to last 2-2.5 years.
In a glass bottle in the freezer I would expect nicotine base to last somewhere between 5-7 years.

I would not count on nicotine base to last 10 years. MAYBE if it's been vacuum sealed in a dark glass bottle with an air-tight, non-permeable cap and kept in a freezer down around 0 degrees F, MAYBE, but even that is questionable. There is still some oxygen in the nic base itself, it will still degrade, just very very slowly.

What Exactly are you Basing all this on?
And what does "goes bad" mean?

My husband has these for his gunsmith work. I'll be borrowing them!

Maybe everyone should have Deeming Parties on 8-8. That way we could meet all our vaping neighbors and exchange contact information. Then someday, when we can't see well enough to attach our coils, we'll have younger neighbors who can help us out. We could also swap vape supplies and such as needed.

I'm wondering what I will say in public about vaping. There are so many vapers where I work, most unprepared for the deeming and state & town laws that will follow. The subject will be a hot topic, especially when I am still vaping like nothing happened. There's a little voice in my head that says "keep your mouth shut, don't breath a word of how prepared you are" and the other little voice says " your just being paranoid. No one will rob your house or turn you into the cops". My town has stricter laws on tobacco and vaping than my state does. I/E It's already 21 and over for vaping here because of the town's laws but it's 18 and over for the state. Hell we can't even vape at the beach !

I guess we'll have to wait and see what the climate is like about vaping after August 8th. In the meantime I plan on keeping my mouth shut. No big vape parties for my paranoid self. I already feel like a criminal with a freezer full of 100mg/ml nicotine
