I was ready for nothing to be available 2 years ago
I'm replying to a 7 month old post, but just gotta say, 7 years ago chicken little was already squawkin'.
I see she still is.

Yeah but it never hurts to be stocked up just in case.
Its not like your supplies are gonna go to waste even if there never ends up being a shortage.

'zactly, and the price to stock up will never be lower than it is right now. I made sure that I could continue to vape as long as I want to and can thumb my nose at those that want to restrict me on my journey or charge me an unreasonable tax.

I live in Arkansas. Lots of online stores will no longer ship to Arkansas. For those that say we that are stocking up are "Chicken little's"...just wait 'til it comes to your state and see if you wish you had headed the warnings.

Oh, I agree. But it seems some folks get a little carried away. I've got a couple liters of PG&VG+base+flavors, not so well heeled when it comes to coils. I'd like to get more of those, but what's on hand would last at least three months. So I am stocked up, I reckon. Enough for me anyway. I see no point in having 10 years' worth of supplies on hand ... especially at my age, LOL.

I am not in the chicken little club. I don't see the likelihood of this "shortage" (or banning) most of y'all keep citing.

Stocking up is like an insurance policy....hope you never need it, but if you do, its there.

@NCC - Most of us are stocking up with what makes us individually comfortable, as far as how much we think we need of the various things...to last as long as we want to vape. That will most likely vary a great deal based on one's age, how long we think we'll want to continue vaping, financial situation, amounts vaped each day, current supplies already on hand, if we DIY or not, how many people we're getting prepared for (ie. family members who vape, too possibly), etc., etc.

It's up to each of us to decide our own "comfort level" for being prepared. I'd expect there's a very large difference in the amounts of what many of us may have stashed. But, that's OK since it's an individual decision we each make.

Could not copy snd psste so will ludte prices that should work well enough

91 cents 5 spare screws. Having spare screws for trapping leads is useful

1.48. Spare Kayfun O Rings.

$1.69 flat top bell cap

$2.26. Kayfun barrel with Nano chimney. You only need tge barrel with thr $1.68 bellcap above

$4.00 Kayfun lite plus V2 base i use

$4.11 Kayfun Monster Mini V3 base if you want direct lung vaping. Do NOT get the Monster Mini V2 its lousy.
The o-rings you have listed are for the Kayfun 4. So, they work for the Kayfun Lite V2 + also, right?

Have any of you ordered the KFL+ kits from Lighning Vapes? They work great, include an insulator and are dirt cheap. I bought 20 or so and are available in singles and various packs up to 100.

I have authentic kits as well and these are the same. Great product IMO.

I got these, if that's what you're talking about...they were called "Kayfun Lite Replacement Center Post Insulators & O-Rings". I got the 25-pack when they were having a coupon code sale.

Well, there's Chicken Little, balanced over on the other side by the ostrich sticking its head in the sand. I've been here as long as you (on ECF, not Earth perhaps), and I too remember THE END IS NEAR! since 2010 or so, with the FDA's attempts to ban vaping. The thing is... the deeming regs went through last year. It's actually happening this time, unless Trump repeals it/gets rid of the FDA's deeming regs in some manner by expressly stating that he wants no enforcement of the existing regulations. Or one of the bills goes through, which would be a stop-gap measure that allows products that were already on the market in 2016, to remain for sale. But nothing new is allowed.

If this happens... I guess time will pretty much remain frozen in 2016, America will become a dumping ground for old tech sold at fire-sale prices (which is already happening), counter-balanced by dramatically increased taxation; while the rest of the world moves on.

If you take a look at the current landscape, things are not good. Companies are already bailing and going out of business. Individual states are killing vaping (or making it considerably more expensive). Things are not going well for vaping at the present time.

Will this situation last? In my opinion no. But it'll be a few years before there's light at the end of the tunnel. I, personally, want to make sure I can continue to vape through the dark ages, without having to pay 5-10-15x as much in taxes, and only being able to use whatever "FDA Approved" (read: crappy) devices are allowed on the market.

I think everybody here is just balancing their opinions/outlook on the situation by how much money/time they want to invest, to ensure the least harassment/inconvenience over whatever span of time they've chosen to stock up for.

Cheers

Since I last posted that 7 month old post ... they no longer make my preferred device.

Very glad I stocked up when they still made them.

Exactly. We are talking prepping not hoarding.

Get stuff you will use any way and save money on inflation and taxes.

I'm 62. With poor eyesight and only see myself vaping for 7 years so i prepped for 7 years. I never want to smoke again.

I only prep things likely to be pulled off the market.

Nicotine, mods, attys, and flavors and wire for Rebuildable atties.

I call it insurance.

If a person prefers vaping over The cancer sticks they should prep.

In the words of Reagan, there you go again, LOL, forgetting the third option ... which is a viable option for me. But, one I don't desire and don't anticipate having to make.

I appreciate the time everyone took to explain their views and I do understand a bit better now. I may buy one of those bargain priced clearance ProVari 2.5s, and I definitely need to take stock in some more coils.

I never saw them anywhere near that cheap. The $50 offer is still available, which is the one I referred to. After testing, it'll go into storage, as long as the one I bought three years ago for 4-5X as much money is still working flawlessly. The remaining stock has red LEDs, I chose the blue option when I ordered. Other than that, it's the same color and everything. So even the 18650 extension I have will match.

Suitable batteries are getting hard to find though. I had to buy a pair of eFests recently while waiting for some AW IMRs to be in stock. I don't trust the authenticity of the eBay offerings.

EDIT: Well, I've placed my order for that $50 ProVari 2.5. I'll just have to cross my fingers that the manufacturer's choice in batteries become more available, or get used to something else. That's the only real criticism I have for the device, it's downright picky about the batteries it will take.

Provari had 2.5's for months at $29.95. Just sold out recently.
