Just called and asked the lady about S/H and the CE2 XL ones. She said often the S/H is more than the items because it's by Priority Mail. But, that $13.65 is ridiculous...must be Flat Rate Medium or Large size PM. The CE2 are also bottom coil like the CE3. :)

EDIT: Nope! I just went and put 10 (2 boxes of 5) in my cart and it's $13.65 by PM Flat Rate Envelope! They must have about a $6+ Handling charge in that $13.65 S+H! Rip-off artists, IMO. I'll keep looking for you.
Thank you for making the call  Yep, totally ridiculous!!!

So I guess I shouldn't be ashamed that I really like my pt2 and mini's! I really love them, but they seem so out dated!

IMO...nothing to be ashamed about at all! I still love and use my PT2 & Minis, and my PT3 & Minis. Have some of each in my stash, too. I figure, as long as they work and I like them,I don't care how out of date people think they are.

I like rebuilding the little heads with them too!

I took one of those apart, to see about rebuilding them...nope, not gonna happen. Those things are tiny!! My hat's off to those of you who can do them.

At my first visit to a B&M back in March 2013 I bought a 1ml syringe w/spike and an assortment of generic flavors to refill my Green Smoke cartridges. They were advertised as 1.5 packs equivalent per cartridge and I was horrified that I killed about 3/day until I found out they were really only equal to 3-4 smokes each. I read I could refill carts so I used those suckers till they wouldn't flow juice anymore. Yuk. Glad I tried a VV ego with a mini Vivi Nova shortly thereafter and had saved enough $$ by cutting down to 2 or 3 coffinnails/day to buy one. Not a puff of smoke since 3/28/13

I'll vape what I want, as much as I want until I don't want to anymore.

Enjoy your Protanks, cartos, cigalikes whatever keeps you off cancersticks :)

Buy more now while they're still available? That way you don't have to worry about it later.

If I do run out, I'll probably replace it with a spare ego one which I'm continuing to stock up on.

@mattiem - Been browsing around AvidVaper.com, and they've got lots of "old style" stuff on sale. Though it seems many places have forgotten to really lower the prices on it because it's old style stuff.

Included in what they have are these things below. The first ones are like the CE3, but are by a different maker:

Royal Smokers CE3 Smokymizer $8.99/box of 5

These are strange, but essentially the same concept, I think. Except you could rewick and/or rebuild these it looks like. They're $1.99 each, but for 5-50 they're $1.59 each.

G4 Cartomizer

Also going to call a vendor I know really well, and see if she still has any CE3 XL and what price they'd be.

Thanks for looking sweetie. I still have bunches of the smokymizers. I still have nightmares about that one (not really but they ended up a nightmare to keep from leaking like a busted pipe) that tiny black plug was a real pain to get in there just right. :D

I am pretty sure the first place is the only place that still offers them for sale. I have searched for them for a very long time. I found them on alibaba but didn't spend much time researching what it would take to order from them. Sis can either make up her mind to try to stick with something else or not. I have GIVEN her so much stuff already. I am just about ready to give up on her.

Prefilled Cartridges and a small selection of bottled juices were the choices of the day in 2010. Most were tobacco flavors with names suggestive of the cigarettes they mimicked.

There was the Joye 510 cig-a-like that looked like a plastic cigarette. The filter part was a plastic tube with a hole on the end to draw through. Inside was a wad of cotton that you dripped juice into. The longer part had a slim battery with a coil that contacted the cotton when you snapped it all together. You could vape for a few minutes on a fill. The hard part was sensing when the juice was about gone. Push it too far and the cotton would scorch. Then, you had to pull it out and repack the filter part.

The eGo model used a prefilled catridge with a similar heating coil and a metal mesh instead of cotton. It was a leaky world back then.

Yep, this was the messy part that I referred to. Thank you for posting this. I am sure I still have a few of this type in my stash somewhere. I know I have a few of the atty's and cartridges. I also remember getting the Riva because it had an option of the manual fire button and I liked that I could take a longer hit than what the automatics offered. Remember the 901's, 808D and 510 wars on which was better and how to use components of each on the other types of threading? Finding adapters was not easy and what I was actually searching for when I ran across ECF.

LOL.....great fun.....

:)

Trying new flavors and revisiting long lost flavors could still equal done with stocking up.

FW Bananas Foster - 4oz - revisit from 2013
...snip...
This horror was after 15ml of Banana Foster.
Still tasted great but ewwww.
Washed it under hot water and the rayon was almost new looking.
Coils were slightly cruddy but this awful mess is from solids in the juice.
Now I remember why I stopped getting Banana Foster when I used premade coils.

One of the websites I was on today (looking for CE3 XL) still had ALL of those things, in their Sale or Clearance section! I knew what most of it was, but wondered what the heck a Riva was. :)

Competition to Joyetech's Ego. They started out with the 901/808D threads for the battery, but soon were also offering the Riva with 510 threads. The reason for the 901 threads was to be able to fit pre-filled cartridges onto them. And back then there was not many places to get ejuice from. For a long time(and maybe still) Vaper4Life only offered proprietary batteries(808D threaded) for their pre-filled cartridges which were also 808D threaded. Hence, the thread competition began, adapters were made, Riva came up with the same type of threading and called it 901.
