I dobt upgrade firmware until i have to. Too many times the firmware turned my device into a paperweight.
I have upgraded firmware in all 8 of my pico, both my istick 200's, 3 rx2/3's, 2 rx200s and 4 hohm wrecker g2's, multiple times, and never had an issue upgrading. If anything did happen you should be able to flash an old firmware on the device to get back to square 1.I didn't realize there was a risk in upgrading. Thanks, now I won't try to upgrade

all that being said, if you are a low wattage m2l vaper you probably don't need the new features like pre-heat. the only reason you might want to upgrade a pico would be for the new simplified interface or the smart mode if you use different toppers.
The first time I tried to update the firmware on my Pico I used my POS laptop and DID brick it. I was able to save it by restoring the original firmware on my father in laws computer and then updated it from there. I like the bigger battery life indicator on the update, and I did manage to make a custom logo for it too.I never go above 30w and I'm usually around 13w, so I'll be good not upgrading? Knowing my luck it'll turn my mod into a paperweight!

I have 2 Picos updated and 2 not yet updated - don't notice any difference in operation in wattage mode.
It it likely? No. Is it possible yes.I didn't realize there was a risk in upgrading. Thanks, now I won't try to upgrade

Same with me. I'm running Windows 10, and have a third party software to block incoming updates that they like to "force" on us. I like to have control over what's being updated.I don't like upgrades in general, either. I remember "things" being different every time I would get updates on my computer.
I still use (and love) Windows XP. When something goes terribly wrong, I just reformat and reinstall everything. I know I'll have to fold on it someday, but I'll go out kicking and screaming.
I started with a bottom drawer of a file cabinet I have in my closet. Graduated to the second drawer of a bigger file cabinet I have in the office. Then cleared everything out of the top drawer of this biggest file cabinet and am using the whole thing. Top drawer for new mods and new tanks. Bottom drawer for boxes labeled "spare parts for _____" I have about 6 of these spare parts boxes. Batteries and Orings are in the bottom drawer. (Who needs to keep track of important house papers anyway?)How is everyone keeping their stock pile organized? Mine is getting bigger and out growing the chest I have it in. I really don't want to take away closet space or other family areas. Any ideas?
I decided to go with under the bed storage! Besides the dust bunnies need some entertainment!I started with a bottom drawer of a file cabinet I have in my closet. I have the two mods I use out. I have 3 mods and my spare attys in a drawer, then have three mods wrapped in rubber and stored in a metal ammo can in case of EMP.I started with a bottom drawer of a file cabinet I have in my closet.
