Don't be leery about your REOs Mod...just like with any new device there will be a learning curve but once you get the feel for when to squonk and when your hits become less potent you will become much more confident.

I felt the same way as you do now before I took the REO plunge...now I would not trade them for the world, not just because they are excellent "insurance" mods to have, but because they really do offer wonderful performance.

Well I just got one I got the mini 2.1 Low Profile, so now to check out the RBA's I feel very prepared now for what ever. I got the repair kit for it too, should get more than one spring? I'd like to use a kick with it or at least the stop short.

Congratulations, bnrkwest, on your REO. You will not regret that purchase. I've been using nothing but REOs since 2011, and I swear you are in for a treat. A kick won't fit in the REO.....there's just no room in there. And the spring is a very effective safety feature that absolutely works instantly if you have a short. It drops the battery away from the contact. You will get one spare spring with the rebuild kit you ordered, so there's that. Another spring or two would be handy....that's really the only part in the REO that I like to have an extra of.

All of the Rebuildable atomizers for sale on the REOs mods site work great....some are better for cloud chasing and some are better for flavor chasing. For a great all around generally great atty, I recommend the LP RM2. I have several of them and they're super little flavor attys. They are very easy to build on, and they have a ceramic deck so they don't short out if your coil accidentally touches the deck. The REOs mods forum here on ECF closed down, but all the info is still there. You should go "play" there for awhile....I especially recommend reading through the stickied threads. I am a diehard Reonaut. I have many, many, many of them....all different models, sizes, colors, etc. if you just want to really talk REO....shoot me a PM....

I do have have an ohm meter and regulated mods to measure a build on. I have Kayfun tanks to build just haven't used any yet, I need to practice! I am assuming a Reo takes RBA's and not tanks right? I do have a couple Corolla RBA's coming would they work on a Reo? I may just try a Carto when the Reo comes in to try it out

REOs take a bottom feed RDA, not every RDA will work on it only ones with bottom feeding capability. The eliquid comes up from the squonk bottle in the unit when you give it a gentle squeeze into the RDA via an opening in the 510 connection. You can test it out with a carto though as they have an open 510 connection.

Any RBA you get for the REO has to either be a bottom feeder from the outset, or it has to have been modified to be a bottom-fed atty. Cartos work fine...or just any regular 510 atty.....but by FAR a BF RBA is the way to go. A tank on a REO would be totally redundant....and would just turn a REO into a battery holder instead of a bottom-feeder.

Thanks, that is very helpful! The whole idea is very appealing, I must say sounds like fun. I will check out the LP RM2, I am a flavor lover not a cloud chaser I do have some drip atty's, old style Carto type just to test juices and they may work if they have a hole in them, will have to check. Thanks!

I think I'm getting burnt out on stockpiling. I already had most all the mods and toppers I would ever need before the regs came out, and I've added three more liters of 100mg to my stash. I still need some more tubes, seals and such, but the whole thing is pretty depressing. I'm looking at the fun we have had to date, whether it's trying new builds or mixes or finding great deals, and know it's likely coming to an end.

I hope there are some massive Fourth of July deals to ease my pain!

It is like a fast condensed version of what was. I like hearing about what everyone got to stash and what will work for long term, but I too will miss the new talk of latest greatest thing to hit the market. I also find it very interesting that most people's stash is made up of old tried and true devices from back in the ole' days of vaping, so it proves what was built to last early on is still the best to buy for long term

@bnrkwest, here's a link to what I'm calling an LP RM2. I forgot that Rob (REO) doesn't call them RM2......we (Reonauts) called them that because there was actually a Reomizer that came and went and was replaced by this one...hence the RM2. Ha. Sorry. This is the one we're all calling the RM2.

Edited to add: don't forget to pick up a couple of spare springs while you're there.

I lost interest in the latest and greatest quite some time ago. First of all, I'm a tootle puffer, high watts, and TC mean nothing to me. What works for me are mods like Reos, and Provaris, and that's why I buy Provaris, and Reos to go for the long haul.

That doesnt really matter. The States, some at least, will get what they can while they can.

Also, ecigs wont disappear, there are multi-million dollar companies out there that are already experienced with negotiating FDA regulations, and the capital to invest in satisfying the FDA requirements. Ecigs will still exist, just maybe not in the form factors that we prefer.

Considering how many tobacco products the FDA has approved in the last 10 years it will be "interesting" (in a horrible slow-motion train wreck sort of way) to see how long it takes them to approve just one e-cig product. :-/
