I agree that you can't purchase cigarettes online and pay by CC. I used to order mine from a place in NY until one day I could no longer do it because they couldn't be shipped by any of the normal shippers. I could still pay for them with my credit card but I was out of luck because they couldn't ship them to me. The choke hold there was the shipping of the product. There reasoning for that stupid rule........wait for it.......terrorists were buying the products to fund themselves

Credit cards, at least mine, still allow face to face purchases of tobacco products.

Is it specific credit cards or maybe even states that deny online credit card payments? The amount of people that are saying they cannot purchase cigs with credit cards online is confusing to me. I know I was buying online with a credit card last year as well as Shoshana, though it was yet to be deemed. I know it is legal to still purchase them in NC online and have friends who do. I'll have to ask how they are paying but it would really surprise me if there answer is something different than a credit and/or debit card. So I'm very confused why some people can't?

I honestly don't want vendors to be hurt by deeming regs or see anyone forced out of biz. It has to be really tough for vendors now as they are boxed in a thick fog with so much unknown at this point. How will the lawsuits shake out, how will the Cole-Bishop go, there is just so much uncertainty right now

Not sure if states get involved too, but possibly

I think you quoted the wrong post. I've never had a problem using my CC anywhere. My problem was the fact that I couldn't get them shipped to me.

I asked my bank about using a debit card. Their simple answer was, if the vendor accepts cash then a debit card will process the same.
As for credit cards, I have no clue as I don't use them and I am almost debt free ;)
That makes sense with debit cards.

Good point, was that because of your local state laws or the state laws of that vendor?
my previous explanation.... I used to order mine from a place in NY until one day I could no longer do it because they couldn't be shipped by any of the normal shippers. I don't know if that was the case for everyone every where. I just know it was what happened to me.

There are quite a few states, mine included, where tobacco products can only be purchased face to face. Obviously, that means not online. Vaping products become officially deemed tobacco products as of Aug. 8.

My concern is whether vendors will simply ignore my state's law and continue to ship me what is essentially contraband after Aug. 8. I'm not taking the chance, although I think some will do it.

I think someone at ECF looked up the states with laws similar to my state, and there were about 26 of them. I worry that many vendors, particularly those selling nic, will simply choose not to make online sales to those states.

It's not like vape products are going to disappear next month. They won't. But, it could become difficult for some of us to order them online. I have a nice little b&m where I can still get stuff as long as they're open. It's expensive, but it's there. I haven't asked if they've applied for a license as a tobacco distributor. I think a lot of these small businesses are just going to try to plug along and ignore the whole thing. Not sure that's a solid business plan.

By the way, my local b&m does not sell nic. I'm sure a great deal of their profit comes from making their own juice. It's really good.

I'm 63, and I have a gallon of Nic in the freezer. That will last me until I'm about 75 if I keep vaping at present levels. I won't. I'm cutting my nic use a little at a time and plan to get down to or near zero in the next few years.

Same thing happened to me first said could not take CC's then next time said cannot ship to your state, so maybe it is a state thing ??

Is anyone else getting partner aggro over all of this stocking up? Mine went with me to buy the new freezer, which he wanted for food anyway. No complaints. He listened to me babble on about nicotine handling procedures and sat quietly while I spent a few hours bottling nicotine. Packages have been trickling in daily for weeks and he made a few comments. Then today FIVE packages arrived all at once. Two from Fast Tech, one from Provape and 2 from ebay sellers. He beat me to the mail and I got "The face" as he stood there with an armload of packages. All's I said is "you'll thank me when you can't get any of this in the future."

LOL if the dark ages/heavy taxation doesn't end up happening I am going to be teased FOREVER about this

What on earth are people thinking when they suggest this? I was shocked when my sister suggested I could just quit. She is an ex-smoker who has substituted eating for smoking, she knows. And she knows me. She may as well suggest Niagara Falls to stop falling.

This is the beauty of being single. Only thing I have to listen to is my wallet screaming in pain.

Thanks for the Pico re-recommendation. This will be the 5th time I'm looking at it at least... next time it goes in the cart.

Didn't have time to watch the full video yet but it looked like a good one. Anything that can curb the "Sky is falling" mentality is good right now. I was surprised to come back to the forums after a long break when the FDA news broke and find that many other people just left altogether, and I'm assuming some LEFT when it happened. Now's the time to fight, right?

... Annnnd I gotta get my skinny .... off to work so I can make as much money as possible to stockpile as much as is probably unnecessary and not feel bad about it because 90% of my vape budget goes to juice/coils and everything I'm buying now leaves me more self sufficient anyways.
