There you go...cartos! Perfect solution.

I've got some cartos & tanks, as well as a bunch of the JoyeTech Mega cone-shaped dripping attys, and some of their tank attys and tanks stashed. Only paid 50 cents a piece for them recently! If push comes to shove, I'll use those, too.

We sound alike! Nothing's gonna stop us from being able to vape in our old age! :D
Yes still have my Carto punch and Carto tanks, so I can resort to them if need be :) Hopefully using Nic will keep me sharp enough to do these things LOL!

I have 480ml of 60mg left.
LOL! Maybe I won't need the 1000ml's I just finished ordering from RTS while they still have the 15% off going. Panic buy. :)
With what you just bought, you have about 15 years worth.

The 480ml of 60mg will last about a year
The 4000ml of 100mg will last about 13.7 years

Maybe everyone should have Deeming Parties on 8-8. That way we could meet all our vaping neighbors and exchange contact information. Then someday, when we can't see well enough to attach our coils, we'll have younger neighbors who can help us out. We could also swap vape supplies and such as needed.
Great idea!

Oh I have a bunch of CE 16's too and replaceable coils for them too, so I think I am good for my 80's LOL

OK, so I took your 10mg and her 6mg and used 8mg as the average.
I "assumed" you each vape 5ml per day. (is that high or low??)

One 500ml bottle of 100mg would last the two of you about 1.7 years.

Your 3480ml stash would last you about 12 years if it was all 100mg. In reality, it will last less than 12 years but I cant figurre it exactly as I dont know how much of that stash is only 60mg.

Even if it's in glass bottles kept in the freezer it's unlikely to last 10 years before it goes bad. Nicotine oxidizes over time. The more oxygen and more heat it's exposed to the faster it degrades. Keeping it in the freezer and putting it in glass bottles reduces how quickly it oxidizes, but nothing can stop it from oxidizing entirely.

In a plastic bottle in a dark place at room temperature I would expect nicotine base to last 1-1.5 years.
In a glass bottle in a dark place at room temperature I would expect nicotine base to last 2-2.5 years.
In a glass bottle in the freezer I would expect nicotine base to last somewhere between 5-7 years.

I would not count on nicotine base to last 10 years. MAYBE if it's been vacuum sealed in a dark glass bottle with an air-tight, non-permeable cap and kept in a freezer down around 0 degrees F, MAYBE, but even that is questionable. There is still some oxygen in the nic base itself, it will still degrade, just very very slowly.

Something else I bought was an ego adapter for my Provari's so I can use my CE 16's :)
Since my favorite toppers are ego threaded I ordered 5 more 510 to ego adapters to my last FT order. I already had 5 of them and bunches of the bigger ones that came with my isticks and MVP's so I am stocked up on those for many lifetimes :D I like using them when I use a 510 based topper too to help protect the threads on the mod.

I did the same thing. A couple of Provari/ego adapters, a bunch of the H2 tanks and a carpton of the coils will go in the doomsday kit. Part of the reason for getting the Provari 2.5's for me was to have replaceable batteries to power the clearos when their original batteries are toast.

I hear you, however many members here have kept it longer without issue.

Also see Kurt's post regarding storage. Kurt has a PhD in chemistry and has posted some good stuff.

If you truly do keep the humidity low in your house, you may never need to change them out.

Thanks for the info. above! You and bnrkwest must think alike!

Yeah, I do keep it very low because I make jewelry as a hobby as well. I use all kinds of metals, beads, etc. and it's all stored in that same room in the house. It's my artsy-craftsy room. Literally nothing metal in there has corroded or changed in any way (even just stored in little baggies and plastic sectioned boxes), and some of it has been in there for 20+ years. So I like your idea and will use it just to be even safer with the vape stuff.

Wrapping the coil is easy. Getting the leads under those little tiny screws is not.

I use a jeweler's headset with super magnification lenses in it for making some of my jewelry now. So I'm hoping that'll help me with those tiny screws and such, too. But...I haven't figured out what will help me with possibly shaky hands though...when I'm 80+ years old! :D

I'm wondering something about those desiccant packs. I live in central FL and have my AC on about 7 months of the year when it's really hot. Other than that it's cool enough not to need it on when I use the whole house fan that brings cool air in through the windows.

Silica gel packs are available on amazon.com for $8.99 per 200. So, do the math: less than a nickel apiece.

Seems like mighty cheap insurance for delicate electronics.

What exactly is is your definition of "goes bad"?

Oxidation will stop when all the oxygen in the bottle is used up. The whole point of putting it in glass is to prevent more oxygen from getting in there after it's sealed up. Kurt has done calculations on how much oxygen is available in a sealed bottle of base, both in the headspace and dissolved in the carriers. The maximum loss of potency due to oxidation in a well-sealed glass bottle is negligible.

Moreover, people have pulled nic out of the freezer that's 6 years old and report no change in color, smell, or taste compared to when they put it in there.

Properly stored, I don't think there's any reason to believe it won't last indefinitely.

Thanks for reminding me of cartos, just went and ordered a bunch more of those. :)
I also have several iclear 30b, and 30s's with plenty of heads for them.

I'm not familiar with cartos and I'm not sure what is a good brand/type. Where did you order them from, please?

My daughter has shaky hands. I have poor eyesight. Bad combo. My teenage grandson is good with tiny work like that, but has no interest. Maybe if we paid him?

From Kurt's post: "I have every reason to believe VG-nic will last essentially forever unchanged in the freezer and in glass. If 6.75 years shows no change, I don't see at all why it shouldn't last for decades."
I buy pg based nic, so maybe that will have some affect on the length of time, I dunno, but I should be good to go now.
