Somewhere out there
Yeah, FT isn't bad on shipping.
GB. I am a little mad at them lol. bnrkwest and I both ordered Pico's from them on the same day, approx at the same time and she already has hers. Maybe she picked a different shipping option than me, dunno, maybe I will ask her. But gb has been slow on most of my orders. Slower than FT.

And I ordered mine on July1
I'm not sure what shipping option I picked, I could check my order.

i used to work in shipping and all the customs paperwork is like doing your taxes every freaking day for every freaking change of arriving city.

pick the e-package shipping,, try to group your items best you can,, stay over $20 and less than $100 as much as possible.......thats the ticket for traveling by plane.

a ship will take 2 weeks in perfect weather and perfect docking schedule-------never gonna happen......you may as well add 1 more week for that pipe dream.. then if you want to allow time for customs,, add another week.

Well, I'm not a one-issue voter. I'm a southern transplant to the PacNW and I love Washington state.

I feel I have a very good understanding of who and what is behind the vaping regulations but instead of throwing the baby out with the bath water I'm going to keep trying other methods. I do think that vaping will be redeemed in the mainstream within the next few years. There will be casualties and I mourn those casualties...I don't take it lightly at all (I work in a vape shop and have for two years now, educating people about the FDA and state regulations and I've probably helped 300 people quit smoking).

If anyone takes vaping seriously, count me in that number.

Well said!!

I have decided from here on out, any nic purchases will stay in their shipping containers until I need some.

Then it will get brought to room temperature and dispersed at once into my jars.

Then each jar will be used one at a time until the next jar is needed and brought to room temperature.

This minimizes overall o2 exposure and time after exposure.

Also (and most importantly) allows me to be lazy AND test nic% of each batch right before it's used.

Are you saying you will freeze it in original bottle, then thaw, rebottle and freeze again? Is that ok? I didn't want to rebottle my newest one due to oxidation since it won't be used for a very long time.

This is what I am concerned about in my state, it is a Tobacco products tax already on the books and since 8-8-16 FDA says vape products are tobacco products, is the reason I don't want to order anything on or after 8-8. They are talking about raising this rate and one bill was 66%- YIKES! Thankfully that bill failed but who knows what they are planning. There is some type of meeting July 21th to look at NM taxes and they will discuss online purchases being taxes, not good.

    "Tobacco Products Tax"

New Mexico imposes the tobacco products tax (TPT) for the manufacture or acquisition of tobacco products in New Mexico that are intended for distribution in the ordinary course of business and for the consumption of tobacco products in New Mexico. A tobacco product is any product, other than cigarettes, made from or containing tobacco.

The first purchaser of tobacco products pays the tax at a rate of 25% of the value of the tobacco product on or before the 25th day of the month following the month in which the taxable event occurs. Certain deductions and exemptions may apply.
This is all i can say about it. But if we decide to march en mass, im there, for real.

Im pretty sure you should not freeze in the original bottle unless it is glass. Better to get some amber glass for the freezer. Any plastic for really long term im not sure is entirely leech proof.

YEs, its ok. But I would do it only once since each exposure to air helps to degrade just a little by allowing air to get into the mixture. If you can and have the room, its better to judge how much you may use in a mixing session or by the number of mixes you want to make from it. That way, if you can't do the mixing all in one setting, you can place what you are going to use in fridge until you are ready to mix.
    :)

eta beckdg goes through nic faster than the rest of us...he vapes at 50mg. yikes

Almost every time I read about long term storage, they say do glass. Even wizardlabs who ships in plastic says if you are going to long term storage it, put it in glass. Its just safer. Plus plastic can allow transfer of some stuff, glass doesnt.

Yea, I have never figured out how the different vendors justified changing to plastic.
Cause its cheaper, and they dont expect people to keep the smaller bottles in the freezer. But i think mostly its because of less risk of being broken during shipping, that is not just a hassle, its dangerous. But the person who asked about storing nicotine in plastic needs to not listen to the person who says its ok. This is straight from wizardlabs website, and probably every other nic base company would say the same.

    Storage
Nicotine solutions should be stored in a dry, cool, dark location that is secured from untrained personnel. Always keep Nicotine solutions out of the reach of children and pets. For long term storage keep Nicotine solutions in a glass container with an airtight lid, and proper labeling. To help prevent oxidation, keep Nicotine solutions away from heat, light, and in contact with as little oxygen as possible. Nicotine solutions may be safely stored at room temperature. Optimal storage temperature is 34-41 degrees Fahrenheit. Nicotine solutions may be safely used for up to 18 months with proper storage.
