Support is one of the best contributions anyone can make to this community :)

I see you're from WNY just like me :) Don't ever hesitate to let me know if there is anything I can do to help you. If things go bad with the deeming and state laws our vaping friends are going to be our most valuable asset :)

It's so cool to see someone else from the area!!! :) so glad to meet you! I'm not looking forward to what our state has in the works for us vapers. :(

I went to a couple of pool supply places and they did not have it. Said they stopped carrying it. So I just went to wl and got it on sale for $8.

I saw this one and thought about getting it, but since I was going to place an order with NN figured I would order theirs to save on shipping. But wasn't sure if it would still work when I would actually be using it (hoping years from now). I will have to check with pool places near me to see what they carry.

How's this for old? ;)

I am one step above that - mine does have replaceable 18650 batts. When a bunch of us ECFers met up this spring - I got asked a lot what it was - they had all forgotten the old days... But like them I do not smoke anymore and have no intentions of going back and that is what is important...

If the stuff just degrades in strength over time and doesn't actually ruin (which I don't think it would, being frozen), then I'm okay with that.

I think Kurt said the 100mg/mL nic base might lose something tiny like .03mg in strength over time. I can stand using 99.97mg/mL in the distant future. Don't think it'll even be noticeable at all. Heck...even the MFS nic base I got was less than that when I tested it...brand new!

Halo eVo Tangerine Swirl, I like it :) Halo had a good sale so I bought a bunch of flavors. It is their high VG line.

I love tangerine swirl as well. Only problem is it kept clogging up my 1.4ohm coil and it became a super hard draw, so i had to move to 0.5 with the bigger holes. Seems to have fixed the problem so far. Just placed an order for all of there eVo line because it's over 60% off right now.

I am much more concerned with stocking quality hardware (mods, atomizers) than i am wicking material, wire and juice.

If you are really paranoid about juice, get into DIY, wire and cotton are both widely used in other industries (Kanthal is so, so rampant) that i doubt you will have significant trouble getting it, even after worst-case FDA troubles

I went to a pool & patio store and bought this:

Taylor R-0009 Sulfuric Acid .12N (About $2.69)
Mine has an expiration date of 1/2017, so if you don't need it within a year...I'd wait to buy it.

Went to PetsMart, and in the fish care section, bought this kit that has everything else you need in it:

API
pH TEST KIT
For Healthy Freshwater Aquariums

Has a 37mL bottle of bromo blue, a little glass test tube type vial, an instruction booklet, and a color chart to compare your test to. The kit was about $7.50 and says on the box it's enough for 250 tests! The bromo blue has an expiration date of 12/2020 on it. Just bought it 4 months ago, so it's good for at least another 4 years.

I used the directions for testing my nic base...from the Sticky at the top of the DIY forum...about how to test nicotine.

I ordered a few liters and froze right away based on recommendations I had read/sales. I didn't think I needed to test them right out of the bottle and am hoping they won't change for awhile. But I figure before I DIY, I should test them as I open them to see where they stand so I know how to make what I will need. :)

@Sara Love - Ah, a Smok clearo with wicks and an eGo type battery! I still use Innokin 16D clearos daily (no wicks type). Also still use some of my 1100mAh eGo batteries, especially on quick trips to town and when doing yardwork (just about can't break the things). Have a bunch of both "stashed", too.

It's not how old or new your set-up is that matters. It's IF it works for you or not! Obviously, yours did and still does, so nothing wrong with that!

NN, good choice! I spent the first two years dealing with harsh nic from other places. NN is clear and clean, not harsh and peppery. Some people like harsh and peppery, though. That's what make us all different.

@Sara Love - I didn't test any other Nic base I've received, except the MFS when it came. It was the 1st time I'd ordered theirs, and the L was short by more than 180mL. It wasn't really clear either, was kind of a very pale yellowish color, so I wanted to test its strength before deciding whether to even freeze and use it later or not.

Other places I've ordered from - L has been right amount and has been totally colorless when it got here. So I didn't test any of it before freezing it.

I have a couple Provaris, Kayfuns, PT2, Nautilis in my stash and I'm actually nervous to try them out (I know I need to to make sure they work) . I average maybe 3ml of juice a day, 12mg of nic/premade juice. I hate to see what I will be consuming  then. I'm thinking I'm kinda spoiled. Lol

I'm basically at this point right now, not worried much about breakdown. 2L of nic is 10+ years of 10 ml per day 6mg. It could be 5mg and I would have no idea. Which is good because I don't have extra money to justify a more expensive nic purchase than $50/L right now.

Besides... my Dad isn't stocking up at all and I'm moving back east and whatever I buy I truly only have half of. His doctors even forgot they diagnosed him with COPD these days because it was about 4.5 years ago and he switched to vaping 4 ago and never thought much of it again. If we get whittled down to 0 nic we do it together! He claims he doesn't need nic and could vape 0... but doesn't bother testing that theory and I never have either but I'm pretty sure I could if need be.

Also I saw someone mention not too much for sales this weekend. In my eyes, that's a promising thing and something to note. If the vape stores left aren't freaking out about inventory that's a pretty big positive.

Still think even if all these regs pass we'll get them reversed before our supplies run out. Can only hide the truth for so long and there will be a public outcry.

Sorry typing helps me from looking for sales :danger:

@JCinFLA none of the nic I purchased was crystal clear. It looked clear as I was pouring into the squeeze bottle I used to dispense into the amber glass bottles. But when it was in the opague ketchup/mustard style bottle it appeared pale to slightly yellow. I was a little concerned about that but didn't have any kits to test at that time. I'm hoping it's ok.

I vote for taking 1 of your Provaris and your PT2 out and giving them a try together first! They should pair well for baby steps, easing into it, from your current set-up.:)
