I'm vaping on a fully mechanical mod with DIY juice and coils made by me in support of my poor friends south of the border.

I'm sure tomorrow will be a non event, but tough times likely coming very soon and I expect Canada isn't far behind.

What do you think will happen in Canada?

I really don't know. Quebec banned online sales last year. All there is right now is proof of age on packages and bans on where you can vape.

Canada could follow the US or the UK. I just know I have not left it to chance.

Health Canada will do something similar to the US, but more around heavy tax than prohibition.

Also, provincially juice bars/tastings will be outlawed (no vaping in vape shops period), vape labels will all be plain and carry warnings, B&M shop windows will have to be frosted/covered like porn stores, no juice/mod advertisements and store employees won't be allowed to open, configure, fix, fill or otherwise touch anything you buy. In Ontario, this is all ready to go.

Thanks, it really sucks that they can do this.

I do expect Canada to recognize the spread of positive information on vaping and make it widely available before the US does. The studies and policies in the UK will be taken seriously by Canadians before the US or even Australia, and they will align eventually IMO.

In British Columbia very similar laws as well are suppose to take effect Sept 1st.

Doesn't matter as they are going to tax the living $h!t out of juice as a bare minimum. True, we won't replicate the FDA deeming garbage, but I would be suprised if juice isn't taxed $0.50/ml or more in the next couple of years. Mods and tanks? Still up in the air re: taxation, so nobody knows....

Was working on my organization and counted up my PT2 heads. I have 27. I didn't realize I had already re-coiled 15 of them. I thought they were just cleaned and stuck together. I figure at some point I will rebuild the rest and wick them. In my later years, I will use those first and then the cartos.

If you don't have some already, you might want to pick up several of these Resistance Coil Insulator 10 Pack RUBBER OR SILICONE (CE Type Atty's, eg. Protank, Evod,T3 etc.) and at least a few of these Silicone Top Caps for Protank / Evod Style Coil Heads

I like the silicone because I can "taste" the rubber. Others have no problem with it.

I have several PT2 tanks, insulators and caps in my back up for my back up for my back up box. Or, to give away should the need arise. ;)

Also, I thought someone posted that they had asked ProVape about long term storage, and that ProVape said not to vacuum seal with the silica packettes, can anyone confirm that?
I want to say that they'd stated that if you vacuum seal it with them, it would pull moisture from the silica.

I'm interested in what you find out, I just got some silica packs but haven't done anything with them yet. I was going to put a couple in a ziplock with each provari mini. I don't have a vacuum sealer though.

. . . and others.

I specifically asked ProVape about vacuum sealing. They thought it was overkill. Also, I experimented with my Food Saver. The box, stout as it seems, crumples to an alarming degree. Their advice was just to add a silica gel packet to the boxes, then change the packet every so often. I figured I'd go them one better and put the box plus silica gel packet into a quart-sized Zip-Lock freezer bag.

Until this forum gets locked down (if ever) the free flow of ideas will most certainly continue. We are going to have to get very creative, in order to help those, post deeming. :)
I wish there was an easy way to download entire threads. There are some I would love to be able to look back on if ECF was gone.

I don't really see it disappearing though unless too many sponsors went out of business.

Not that I would like it but ok, I can live with taxing juice that contains tobacco same as cigs although that much taxation might be a deterrent to some people for switching to vaping and finally clearing their lungs. But what I cannot wrap my mind around is justification for taxing vaping devices and accessories on the premise that vaping is impossible without them. Smoking a pipe is impossible without a pipe but you dont pay tobacco tax on a pipe. You cant drink liquor without a glass but there no liquor tax on a glass.

Maybe bookmark those that you want to keep available. Not sure how that works with the Wayback machine. As long as the thread is out there somewhere........

Anyone?
