Has anyone else notice if you click a highlighted word on the forums like coils & atomizers they all take you to vaping (dot) com. Why is this happening now?
I wonder if anyone is actually buying? Some of the prices I have seen were mediocre at best.

I don't really know what I'm doing anyway. My concern was whether anybody read my jibber jabber before.
It makes it like new. Like I was 25 again

And your first one in that trio is highlighted for me. Did you do that? Or did something else do it for you? I'm not clicking it to find out.

I am a bit concerned that the pod mods won't make it through the pmta either. I think it will be the closed cigalikes from BT that will be available. Sure, modders will mod and we all know we can make things work but we are a small part of the equation. New people won't have a clue about hacking or how to refill or tweak something and many won't bother with it. I believe that is all the FDA is going for, along with state increased taxing.

I think it would be easier for any of us to mod a laser than to mess with modding the pods.

I agree with kross, I am looking out for me at this point while hoping for the best but without giant expectations.

I guess my freezer and vape stockpile won't make it thru PMTA either. ;)

Hope for the best, plan for the worst. If everything goes back to normal tomorrow, I have a few too many mechs and Provaris, tanks and tank accessories (glass, insulators, bases, etc.) and a few hundred $$$ in frozen NIC that I will actually use. Luckily I don't have to bother with close system stuff based on my inventory.

My wife and I were spending $7k/yr smoking, so I really don't see me "losing" regardless of what happens. I spent a small fortune on my stockpile, but not $7k. :)

Well the Mistic mod pod is a subohm device, has a 10 ml juice pod, so it is out there already. Not refillable, but I would try a small hole and put a small thumb screw in and try it! LOL Here is the Mistic, buy 2 get 1 free with code.
I think the Myjet is rebuildable and they offer prebuilt coils as an add on option. Here is what is listed:
Coil Specifications: MyJet
  • Fillable Pod System
    • 1.2ml Capacity
    • Quad Clasp Locking System
      • Single Fill Usage
  • Horizontal Coil Atomizer
    • 28 Gauge Kanthal
      • Seven Wrap
      • 1.3 ohms
    • Cotton Wicking System
    • Gold Plated Connections
      • Proprietary Connection

I "think" if you can add your own eliquid and change/rebuild the coils then it is not a closed system, this is more a
....you are trapped into using only this system and it's components and pay what ever we charge....
because it's all proprietary.

Stocking is the only answer, we will be fine, but those that haven't? Not so much.

I watched the Mistic 2 video and those 10 ml pods would be easy to fill in my opinion, would take a bit of fiddling but could be done. I think a pod mod would have a better chance than say a tube mod and kayfun, but that is just my opinion and just a guesstimate anyway :)

I worry about that too. Our open systems maybe going extinct as we watch what unfolds.

I'd kind of like to try one of the pod mods that I saw recommended in another thread. It looks like you can add your own juice to it. I'm curious to see how it all works and if I think it could be satisfying enough to be used as one element of my vape stash. If I knew it might work for me, I'd still follow my current stock up plan for buying primarily Picos and Evic V2 Minis, but, it would make me less anxious about something terrible happening to the stockpile. I'm not ready to do that yet, though. I'm still having a hard time processing the heinous Deeming regs and all I need to buy to complete my stock pile! No reason to overload my processor with that right now!

Which sucks.

30ml store bought juices can still be bought for about $10US in many stores in Canada, so it isn't terribly expensive to vape here currently.

But with coming taxation and almost all manufacturers focusing on subohm tanks and high wattage mods, $10/pack per day will look fairly reasonable when compared to vaping 10-15ml of substantially taxed eLiquid a day at 30-50w using $4 subohm coils.

Without DIY, juice and premade coils will make vaping prohibitively expensive for most moving forward IMO.

So you don't get taxed now on e juice in Canada? And it's all zero nic stuff right?

Lot of folks have quit using Blu and similar systems, which are just as expensive (if not more) than some of the pod systems that are out. While cost can be a factor in quitting, people like me wanted an alternative to smoking that wasn't as harmful.
I remember paying $69 for some G6 808's years ago, in 2011 and before that in 2009, a mini ecig was $100. I think we are spoiled with DIY stuff now LOL

Well we took some heat for being preppers, but I didn't mind that one bit, I am happy with my stash :)

I'm proud of my preparedness. I think we should have some secret sign to put in our signatures that means "prepped and ready".

I got 3 drip tips in today from desert vapes. Two of them I like. One is garbage, but they were only $11 shipped.

Stalking a mod. We shall see.

And I hope apathy and me first thinking doesn't muffle our voice. Stocking up is part of my path right now but it also includes advocacy. When my congressional folks call I let them know vaping legislation wins my vote.

I personally am disappointed to see a big name like Wismec collaborating on closed systems. But at the end of the day they are trying to pay a mortgage and bills also so I understand.

Nope. NIC is in all juice unless 0 NIC is requested.

Also only regular sales tax in Ontario and most provinces. No sin taxes... Yet. Many B&Ms take cash to avoid the tax as well.
