Thanks everyone for all the congrats on my vaping anniversary.![]()
I've decided that in honor of the day, I'm going to spend the day with all old school stuff
First I'm going to pull out my original Joyetech 510 (yes I still have it and yes it does still hold a charge) and see if I can find an old cart and filler and vape the same way I did that first day

Later on I plan to move onto an Ego and dripping on a 510 atty. I'm also planning on using my Roughstack mod and if I can find it, my 14500 battery box mod. All stuff I used my first 3 months of vaping.

Thanks Rose, but I didn't notice it until grandmato said something, so you didn't really miss it, I did. LOL just been so darn busy. That is so cool, I love it. I still haven't found my roughstack, might have thrown it away. So great to see your progression those first 3 months.
Did we miss this? If so, happy vape anniversary to you, too.
I know what you mean. I missed my 5th and 6th one, will be 7 years in Jan.Thanks Rose, but I didn't notice it until grandmato said something, so you didn't really miss it, I did. LOL just been so darn busy.

No I was just kidding with you about you saying you were a newb. Hence the j/k at the end of my post. No harm intended. But AW's do also come in button tops.i said afaik and i am a newb, and that I all i have owned is flat top... did I miss a disclaimer?
no worries, i have no idea what aw or imr even means.......No I was just kidding with you about you saying you were a newb. Hence the j/k at the end of my post. No harm intended. But AW's do also come in button tops.
You had the same first mods that I had. 14500 battery box mod and RoughStack. Then I got the Maxi RoughStack and the Blue Lightning. That was it for a long time.First I'm going to pull out my original Joyetech 510 (yes I still have it and yes it does still hold a charge) and see if I can find an old cart and filler and vape the same way I did that first day

TI still haven't found my roughstack, might have thrown it away.
AW is the brand name(I think) and the imr refers to the type of chemistry inside the batteries. Hopefully, if I am mistaken someone will correct me.no worries, i have no idea what aw or imr even means.......
7 years! Wow! Be sure to remind us. We'll have a big party.I know what you mean. I missed my 5th and 6th one, will be 7 years in Jan.
Yes, that would certainly help. But, it's more fun this way. When you finish, you'll get bored.rosesense said:About being busy...I can't seem to finish organizing because I keep opening tubs to find things to go with the older gear I come across. At this rate, I will never finish. Of course, it would help if I stopped buying stuff.
This was my 2nd ecig, the Phoenix, from Truesmoker. Before I got on the 510 train. Kind of wish I had kept it. It is a wonder some of us quit using the cigalikes but we did, yay.

I had 3 of them. I know I fried one by leaving an atty on and it leaked into the firing switch and I couldn't get it unstuck. I hated the button on them but loved everything else. You had the same first mods that I had. 14500 battery box mod and RoughStack. Then I got the Maxi RoughStack and the Blue Lightning. I will NEVER throw away my RoughStacks! They hold a special place. Although, admittedly I almost never use them. But, I'll always have them.
Congratulations!!!!! Wow 6 yrs is quite the milestone! Wooo Hoo!!It's my 6th vaping anniversary tomorrow.Reflecting back a little today it feels like I've been vaping a long time and that's a good feeling.
My 35+ years of smoking seem like a very very long time ago. ECF and all the wonderful friends I've made along the way have made it a fun journey and I'm very grateful to all of you for that. THANK YOU !!!!

Truesmoker was the vendor, Krakken from New Orleans. Also had a pretty one called the Dragon. Krakken didn't last very long. These were M301's or something like that, different connection than the 901, 808, 510.I remember a Puresmoker vendor, not so much a Truesmoker kit. Sure is pretty tho.

That center pin actually came off in my kabuki tank and I had to fish it out and put it back in, it threads on so not sure if it is too tight it too loose???They are very "fragile" in that the center post can easily short to the outside housing INSIDE the top of the deck. The oval part (with the air hole in it) only has to turn a few degrees to make contact. "Finniky" is the word I'd describe it.
I'll often fiddle with the RBA on the Nautilus base making sure that I can have it installed without any shorts before attaching the top of the tank. Sometimes just reseating the RBA will fix it, others I'll have to loosen the center pin, jiggle it a bit and retighten a few times to get it seated right.
One of the reasons I liked their V1 RBA better than the new V2. (then there was getting the top part threaded and screwed on...but that is another story).
