@Fozzy71 - Well, that makes me feel alittle better. I just thought it was a tank I might want for my "stash", especially because of the Single sided Velocity style deck and it's a Top fill. I think it's also the tank a longtime, well-liked, former ECF member helped develop. Might be wrong about that though.

I got it/them because I wanted some single coil tanks for my stash but eventually they all seem to weep between the press fit on the deck.

I don't have a Merlin,so can't say on it,but if your getting seeping with the Griffin,try leaving the wick tails a bit thicker,and run them all the way to the bottom of the channel,don't cut them at the wick ring.I love my Griffins,i have 8 of the 22mm and a 25mm,and plan to get at least 2 more of the 22mm ones here soon.Best rta i have used,and i have tried a lot over the last couple years.

You are correct.She helped out on the Merlin and the very popular Boreas.I don't have the Merlin,but the Boreas is a great rta.

Boreas and Billow v3 Plus are my current faves. Huge capacity and no leaking or weeping. I plan to get a few more of each.

Well...that stinks! I had 1 of each color in my cart...with 13 minutes left and counting. But, by the time I registered and confirmed my account by email response...it then had them at $29.99 each in my cart. Emptied my cart and said a few choice words.

That does stink Although it could be a good thing. I just noticed they have the Augvape Boreas (silver) on sale for 16.98 which is suppose to be better then the Merlin.

Yeah,i run rayon in mine too,but unlike most other atties where i really thin the tails,on the griffins i leave the tails pretty thick,i only trim off maybe a 1/3 and leave the rest,this works well for me,but if i accidentally trim a bit too much,i will get the seeping then.

On the Boreas,i agree i really like it,and plan to get at least 1 more,but probably 2 more.

I just went and looked at it. Nice tank, but I can't see myself using a tank that's 25mm in diameter and holds a whopping 8mL! That's a huge capacity. I like the 4mL of the Merlin better, for me anyway. Thanks for the link though. I'll let the neighbor know about it. He likes big capacity tanks, especially well-made, highly-recommended, and for that kind of price.

I was never a fan of the 25mm tanks either until I got my Steam Crave Supreme which is 25mm. There is both 7 ml and 4 ml versions of the Supreme. Velocity style deck and you can get a plug (bought separately) to use it as single coil if you wish. I've passed on both the Merlin and Boreas tonight even though I think they were great deals, but there's no way I could pass on getting another Supreme should I ever see them selling for these prices even though I don't need another one.

Been hiding. I want to sell this car and take a look at my financials before beginning to look at making my sad little stockpile (minus the nic...) worthy. Flight booked! Two weeks, if the car isn't sold it gets dropped at dealer for trade in on my way out.

Re-wrapping batteries like a champ though, still have yet to blow one up so that's good. Got some cheap fast tech re-wraps that don't always shrink exactly flat on the ends and end up leaving a bit of a lip but I don't think that really matters. Still makes contact and insulator ring is more than covered.

Got my fancy coil starter pack in too. Just did a fused clapton build in my Griffin 25. My first any build besides standard kanthal. So far so good and it's not even broken in yet! Takes a while to heat up at 0.22 ohm and 45 watts though, is that normal?

EXACTLY. I don't understand why people put the tails more than 1/3-1/2 way to the bottom.
