Some vape mail for the stash. First package I have received in a while. Not even vaping any STM tanks right now but the sale price on these was too good to pass up: 10 packs of 5 (5 pks @ 0.5ohm and 5 pks @ 1.2ohm) for under $50 to my door. I have 3 STMs in the stash and one that I tested that needs to be washed and stashed. Now I need to find a good sale price on some rba heads.

I'm really impressed with the Kayfil tool. What a great little gizmo.

The flavor on the KFL+ V2 had started to fade, from it's usual spectacular, so I figured it was time for a burn & re-wick. It still had about a half full tank. I had just received a couple of Kayfil tools a few weeks ago, and gave it a test whirl on a clean, empty KFL when I got them. Today was my first 'live tank' trial and it worked surprisingly well.

I'm not a speed wicker. I take my time. The half full tank sat on the Kayfil for 15 - 20 minutes, while I pulled the old wick, did a burn & rinse, re-wicked & primed. Nothing leaked out of the tank while it was sitting there. When I was done, there may have been 2 drops worth of juice on the shaft of the tool. Easy wipe off, and back in business. Tank was still half full, with no mess.

A well spent couple of bucks at FastTech, in my book.

I don't think TSA knows their own rules.
I was told batteries out of the device, and in a protected case...

Least surprising comment of the year hahahahahahaha. I'll bring sleeves, battery boxes, and cardboard boxes batteries came in with me.

I'd say I'll just print out the information on their website and bring it with me but...

    Somewhere out there
Well after all my problems with CC fraud my desk top had a major problem & is at the computer shop getting scrubbed, was told I had a significant virus. Had to close a CC out and try again. I think hackers got some of my passwords and in my email account because strange things showed up. So no vape buying for me for awhile been busy changing all my passwords and locking things up to hopefully keep my other devices safe. Geez always something! LOL So glad I am pretty much stocked up. Still waiting for another FT package tho.

    No Batteries.JPG

This was kind of interesting. My brother and I were talking tonight and he was talking about the Samsung S7's that are exploding/blowing up/venting whatever. Think it has everyone super freaked out about the batteries in general. Notice goes against what I read yesterday on the TSA web site.

Gonna bring two single batt mods and an Eleaf iStick 50W that I don't really care if I have to toss. Hoping the iStick and having the battery in the mods count as "E-cigarettes." If not and I have to toss the iStick and take out and toss two batteries no big deal. I'll just ship the rest, and tell Dad to bring batteries to pick me up.

I'll let you guys know how this turns out. Seems to be an ever changing process.

Glad i could introduce the ECF members who like the Kayfun RTAs to that little piece of technology.

That notice means the same thing they told me that I passed along to you. You can't bring lithium batteries not installed in a device...in checked baggage nor in carry-ons. But, you CAN bring them installed IN the device (which includes in e-cigarettes), in your carry-on! They don't distinguish what "kind" of e-cigarettes are allowed in carry-ons...all kinds are (cig-a-likes, eGos + clearomizer, Mods + tanks, etc.)! You'll be fine with yours.

I took for my own use: (2) iStick Mini 10W w/tanks and (1) Coolfire IV w/tank in a carry-on, and (1) Innokin MVP w/tank in my purse (forgot about that one in my last post). I also had these in my carry-on that weren't for my use: several eGo batteries (from 650-1100mAh), 2 STMs, and a couple of clearos that I took for other people up there. ALL were turned off, and ALL went through all 6 screening locations with no questions about them, no taking them out and checking them...nothing.

Looks like each airline is different.
    These are Delta's rules:
    https://www.delta.com/content/dam/delta-www/pdfs/baggage/acceptance_guidelines.pdf
Think I'll just mail ahead gear, if possible.

Yep! From what I'm reading on that pdf, Delta is even more lenient about them than SW. They can be in checked baggage and/or in carry-on luggage if installed IN the devices, which are turned off. A big difference from SW policy...is that spares can also be taken in carry-ons if they're in proper cases and isolated from contact with other batteries and metal objects.

According to TSA, Electronic Cigarettes and Vaping Devices are not allowed in checked baggage. I know of people who have carried the actual devices in checked baggage. The main point is that no batteries of any kind can be put in checked baggage.

International flights are stricter. But, as long as it's within the continental US, batteries seem to be fine as long as they're not in checked baggage and as long as they're either in a device that is turned off or in a plastic battery case.

When I flew to Boston on Spirit Airlines, they announced that no Samsung Galaxy Note 7's were allowed on the plane.

Someone from TSA needs to let Delta know then, that they're in violation of TSA guidelines, per the pdf that puffon linked to. They allow them (devices with installed batteries), in checked baggage, but prefer that passengers take them in their carry-ons.

FWIW ... My wife and I fly all the time on Southwest and carry spare 18650's in those plastic carry cases. Never had any problems going through the TSA check ... normal ... or TSA-pre lines. Just got back from another round-trip Southwest flight a few weeks ago carrying mods and spare batts in plastic cases in our carry-on bags.

@MikeE3 - See, that's the problem! TSA has their regulations published on their website, which I always thought were to be nationwide. However, each airline has their own on their websites, too, (which may or may not be the same as the TSA's). Then, the actual TSA screeners may or may not even enforce their own regulations the same, from screener to screener!

IMO, it only causes undue concern & confusion for passengers getting ready to fly! It's basically a crap-shoot as to which type of screener, following which regulations, and how strictly...that you're going to get when you go through screening. And they wonder why passengers then aren't sure what guidelines/regulations to follow or not.

I have niticed this thread has slowed down. Maybe its time for me to stir things up a bit

So here i am asking a question to a few people.

Most everyone knows i use an ultra Compact Kayfun.

This question goes out to @oplholik @bnrkwest and @misswish1

This question also goes out to others using this tiny Kayfun

What is your opinion of this stupid cheap Atomizer?
